It is only Onitsha Port that is viable and to a lesser extent Lakoja port, all other ports are just a waste of resources because even investors or concessionaires would not even touch those ports. Converting them to ordinary warehouses would be more profitable. |

What is this one yapping about? BabaRamota1980: Its outcomes like this that make true patriots give up about contesting elections.
Where does Adeleke even begin to measure to Ogunbiyi, in terms service tenure and political exposure?
To begin with Osun was not created out of Oyo because it had resources to stand on its own...but rather to address new political alignments for Yoruba. Currently Osun is lagging. To fast track and upscale its peerage you need good hands with deep political connections in the region. Adeleke is new comer and has no clue. By time he begins to get a clue half the State Federal allocations had entered private pockets. He is there for that purpose...to create gap in Executive decision making so hawks can dip hands in treasury.
We boasted of a caliber of highly savvy and competent cadre of Governors across SW and now with this Adeleke we are heading East and about to install clowns like they have in Biafra. Obiano comes to mind. Shiooor! |

Hotels, particularly cheap hotels does not contribute to any economy. You don't equate brothels and army of commercial se.x hawkers to tourism. Imo state is poor because the IGR is still among the lowest in Nigeria. Your state should develop a strong economy through industrialisation. This is where the IGR lies and not brothels. America, China and Japan became great because of industrialisation. You don't have to deceive yourself about your state of origin because i know your state of origin so stop trying to be smart. We run NL, so we know everyone on this board. nnamdijonathan: Aku luo uno has contributed much to the tourism industry in Imo state and will still contribute much more in the coming years. Let me make it clear to you that I am not from Imo state but know much about the development taking place in the state as well as other eastern states and Igbo regions in the SS. The federal government has said that the Onitsha port will be concessioned this August. This port will open up Igboland and make Igboland more attractive for business, I just pray it was not another lie by the FG of Nigeria. |
Politics › Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by bestviewer: 9:57am On Jul 22, 2018 |
Your Imo state needs aku luo uno because they don't invest at all their home state. Your contribution is needed more in your Imo thread to wake your government and people up on the need to invest on enabling infrastructures and enabling business environment for economic development so that your state can develop to get to the level of Anambra and Enugu states. nnamdijonathan: From the present look of things, Igboland is already benefiting from the Aku luo uno program but, I still don't want all Igbos, most especially those that run the biggest markets in Lagos and Abuja, to return home because, if not for them, the products we manufacture in Igboland will not get to other parts of the country. Today, Aba products and Nnewi spare parts can be found in markets outside Igboland, all thanks to the Igbo traders who leave outside Igboland and distribute our products to non-Igbos. |

Nkea bu ezi okwu. I wish the rest of Igbo land should buy into Obiano's ideology of Aku luo uno. Most Anambra big boys are looking homeward now. Coscharis, Ibeto, Innoson, Juhel, Emzor, etc. Our celebrity millionaires and billionaires should key in 100% into this Aku luo uno. Even this Stanel would have gone to build this in Abuja had Obiano not started harping Aku luo uno on time. Today he has relocated fully to Anambra where he has his biggest investments. Cjrane2: Nigeria is a zoo.
I plead with Igbos to STOP thinking about Nigeria and think of their own region as their homeland.
If Igbos can do like other Nigerians and consider their homeland first before any other place in "Nigeria", they would have learnt something from the tragic history of Nigeria.
When Fulani is talking about investing in "Nigeria", he is mainly talking about, Kano, Kaduna or Sokoto. Not Onitsha or Umuahia
When yoruba is speaking of investing in "Nigeria", he is talking about Lagos, Ibadan or Akure. Not Enugu , Aba or Owerri.
When Igbo is speaking of investing in "Nigeria", he is talking about Lagos, Kano, Abuja,Kaduna or Maiduguri. Not Awka, Abakaliki or Nnewi.
Ndigbo, emere unu ihea eme? If your "Nigeria" always means other people's homeland, who will develop your homeland?
Tetanu n'ula!!

OVI2019 hear direct and hot from your brother. JAMESOJAY: If you know me, you would know that I have no interest in your political parties.
I spent years In Aba, and a part of me is stuck in that city. I went there recently, and nothing had changed. Compared to Umahi, OVI has been a failure.
Abia civil servants are owed backlog of salaries, yet no infrastructural development to point at. The Osisioma flyover he started had stalled and the price of the project is highly inflated when compared to those of Awka and Abakaliki.
If Abia is allowed to continue like this, then she is surely going to be a source of disgrace, rather than Pride to Ndiigbo.
Naturally, I try as much to avoid politics. Knowing fully well that nothing divides a people and attracts enemies, more than politics. But what had been happening in Abia since 1999 is no longer ordinary, and since Abians don't want to do anything about it, I think it's about time every Igbo man puts pressure on Abia to get it right. Maka na anya bewe, Imi ebewe. |
