Hello everyone, I applied for visitor visa for my parents on the 30th of December last year with the new portal.
They completed their biometrics a few days later and it was updated within a week
I even asked them to do medicals which was also updated a few days later too. (I was told that they did not have to medicals as it is not necessary these days by people who got theirs without medicals. I am not sure how.)
Ever since the medical update no other update.
Eligibility has not yet started and background check is still in process.
The processing time is now beyond the application processing time for Nigerian applicants, 102 days. I am sure it is being processed in Kenya because in a reply to a webform to submit the medicals slip obtained, It was highlighted that the file was being processed in Nairobi.
I have sent numerous other webforms as a representative and they have also sent numerous web forms too as the applicants. No response has been received yet.
What else can i do? They are supposed to be in Canada in May.

Please sir, did you apply for them separately or together inside one envelope combining their application fee and paying it once?

Please, how can a family of 3 apply for visiting visa online in just one envelope? I mean filling different application for each person but submitting all the 3 together as one and paying the application fee just one instead of paying separately.

Anyone who has family in Canada should send an email to CIC ( I think someone already posted the link).
They are truly prioritizing applications at this time.

My hubby's visa was approved within 2 weeks

Applied Nov 29th, Approved Dec 10th.

God is faithful.

I think they are only considering immediate family members (parents, husband, wife or their children) they don't consider those that have a brother or sister there or have you seen one?

My mum’s visa has been approved. Yaay, finally. She applied in July and did biometrics in August

Congrats. I think they are only approving parents own now. I just hope they've approved our own too, they are just still holding on to telling us.

In fact, it's something else. I applied in first week in March. I requested for my GCMS note just to know if they've approved it or not but to my surprise, nothing was in my GCMS note, all that was there was "in progress" and I can remember that when I checked my application in first week in April, they've started my eligibility review, which makes me certain they must have made a decision on my application by now but why they are still holding it is what I don't understand.

Please I need your advice on this please, I actually apply for Canada visiting visa so I was sent a mail to my inbox saying that they are refusing giving me a visa due to my family background in (Canada and in Nigeria ) that if they actually gave me a visa that they aren’t sure that I will come back to Nigeria at the end of my stay in Canada and that I’m welcome to reapply if I feel I can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that my situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee . Notice the mail was sent from High Commission of Canada to Kenya .Thanks FAM

Yes, you can. All TRV applications can run concurrently with the PR (EE) application(s). So, nothing changes applying for a SP after a VV and synchronizing together. The VO knows the importance of been armed with discretion in regards to the decision-making of the application.

Please house, is it possible to apply for student visa when you still have a pending visiting visa? I mean they've not make any decision on the visiting visa, still on eligibility review since March cos of this corona problem. Is it OK to apply for student visa alongside it?

If you are one of those exempted, you are expected to send some information about your application to an email address that was given on the website. Go to the website and you will get more information on it

2. I applied on the 13th of march
3. Immediate family members are:
-Spouse or common-law partner
- Dependent children
-Dependent children of dependent children
-Parent or step parent
-Guardian or tutor.
So I don't think you can be classified as an immediate family member.

Canada TRV application is on hold till April 29. They are only processing visa for those with exemptions, of which I happen to be one of them. My husband is a permanent resident, so my application is ongoing as his immediate family member (spouse). I have been asked to go do medicals (the normal medicals for immigration purpose o), which I already booked an appointment for Tuesday. If you go through Thier website, they specifically said it is only applications of those with exemptions that are been attended to at the moment. Let's hope and pray they continue the general application on the 30th of April, if they don't extend the pause.

Make we know if it's only student visa they are processing or if they are processing visit visa too. People are not talking here at all. When I login on April 1st, they have started my eligibility review but I don't know the exact date they start am but since then, I no see anything again on my application. So I'm worried, if they've stopped processing visit visa or if they are still processing it. Please people should talk make we know how far.

Please who do you think I am? Only those who are exempted to travel are on processing boy. That is those who got study permit before 18 March 2020. ie Summer intske..

The wrote the application process will change, not stop. I don't think English is this hard nao. Na simple and straight English.

Right after selecting the flight details, on the page where u proceed to make payment, there is an option for place reservation instead of paying. This is for Ethiopian airlines, dont know about others.

do not worry urself about the ticket reservation ...it not compulsory even a screen shot of the ticket price from the ticket sale or airline site is good enough evidence because what the visa officer is more concern about is your financial means to pay for your trip and ties to your country ,travel history and main purpose of coning to Canada ...l applied online for my father recently with same method attached screen shot from wakanow showing airline with ticket price and l also indicated the ticket price in my letter of explanation and how i will pay for it and his visa was approved ..i indicated the date when he will arrive Canada and depart but passport request letter was issued after the proposed dates

How long is the reservation valid for? I tried holding a reservation with Ethiopian airlines but the reservation is only valid for 2 days.
Which won't be valid anymore if VO is reviewing application.

Just go to the KLM website, do the reservations and at the point of making payment, select pay at KLM office. This allows you to get the flight itinerary sent to your mail. That way you don't have to make payment. It is usually advisable to do this a day before your application so that it will still be valid at the point of submitting your application. The whole idea behind the itinerary is that they want to make sure that you kmow the cost of ait ticket and that you have also included it in your financial provision for the intended trip.

I just checked their site but I don't get it. It's only showing "show offers". Please can you help with the link of that point where someone can make the reservations or step by step of it. Please kindly do this.

Guy biko, i thought if you applied through Uni assist, you dont have to apply directly to the schools again??

For OTH, you must apply directly to the school again with the VPD given to you by uniassist. Uniassist won't send your documents to OTH like some other schools, you will have to apply with the VPD from uniassist.

There's no short cut, nobody told me about the school, I entered DAAD and I start searching for schools, I saw 3 schools and I applied to all which OTH dey among. And I read part 7 to know everything I needed wey I go use apply, I no sabi anybody in Germany. I gathered all the necessary documents and I applied through uniassist and when uniassist send my VPD, I applied directly to school immediately and they mailed me say they've given me admission and I accept their offer. So that's what I did.

This month but I applied through uniassist last month, so when my VPD arrived this month, I then applied directly to the school.
