fashionicon: please are there single people with no kids who have actually applied before and got Canada visit visa? please let us know how yo showed your ties back to Nigeria as it seems job and landed property is not cutting it for them. if she reapplies she needs to show significant ties back home. plus how much does one need to have in the account to show they can afford the trip? Please, this is very important. Anybody that has gotten his/her visitor visa approved with no kids and spouse or even landed properties in their name should please tell us how they proof their home ties. I'm sure a lot of people are desperate to know this here. |

obinwanne: Appeal a visitor visa where her home ties are just siblings and a job of less than CAN$2,000? She also has significant ties to Canada which further reduces her chances. You appeal a decision that you are sure you’ve covered the possible reasons for denial. Let her just reapply and make sure she corrects the reasons for denial. Appeal is just a waste of time and if she loses, it taints her future chances because it will be entered into her GCMS notes. How do you think she can correct the reasons for denial? Your response will help a lot of people |

Who in the house applied for VV in June/July 2022 and has received a response from the IRCC?
Kindly share your timeline! Plenty people are still waiting for decision. What Canada is doing right now concerning visitor visa is very very bad. |

Processing time is now 347 days for applicants from Nigeria. It's now obvious that these people are intentionally doing this thing. |

oluayebenz: Hahaha You are right though.
They should just remove the visit/tourist visa link from their site. They keep collecting the application fee but they are not processing it. People are now waiting for more than a year and it's only Canada. |

If Canada don't want people to apply for visitor visa again, they should just say it and stop this wickedness. It's now 264 days. Why are they doing like this? |

mekinzy: Appointment letter and Biometric letter are different?
Don't forget to take along your appointment letter. Without it, they won't allow you to enter. And make sure you are there before the time on your appointment letter. Yes. Appointment letter is the one you book on VFS website to pick date and time wey you wan do your biometrics while biometrics letter is the one you download from your IRCC portal after you don submit your application. |

mekinzy: Good morning Folks.
I applied for a Canadian visitor visa, waiting for my Biometric date to be out. Will medical needed for the Biometrics?
Pls can one work with visitor visa in Canada? Waiting for biometrics date to be out? I hope it's not what I'm thinking sha. You used an agent and the agent told you that? After submitting your application, you will receive your biometrics letter like 6hrs after submission and you can do the biometrics anytime you want. Na you go pick the date and you must do it within 30 days of receiving the biometrics letter. Also, you don't need medical to do biometrics or for visitor visa. So if na agent you use, be rest assured that something is definitely wrong. |

PrinceRey: The old passport number can't be on the new one.
Every passport booklet has its unique number which is the passport number.
A new passport will come with a new number. The way they are doing it now, your old passport number will still be on the new passport. Only say what you are sure of. |

It will be better if their mother do that and she should call the MP in her area to ask for the update on the application and also plead to the MP to tell those in charge of the application to quickly finalize it.
