afosoft: How did you renew passport that is not yet expired, please I need this info Once it's less than 6months to expire, you can renew it anywhere. They will do it for you. |

mrprolifik: Yes, send a scanned copy of the new passport to IRCC via webform. If your visa application is approved , you will need to take both passports (old and new) with you to vfs global. Vfs global will decide if to send only the new one or both the old and new for the visa. If it was a U.S visa application you would need to present both passports , but will get the visa in the new passport. Thank you |

Yes, you can do that (preferably).
You may also wait until you get a PPR, and you send both passports. Thanks a lot |

Pace6: I think your passport should be valid for at least 6 months. When I submitted my application, it was more than 6 months but now it's less than 6 months. I don't know if I should send the renewed passport through webform and emails or wait for PPR and send both the expired and the renewed passport, so that they will stamp the renewed passport. |

Please, for someone whose passport will expire in Jan 2023 and awaiting PPR, is it advisable to send the scanned renewed passport through webform and emails or wait for PPR and send both the expired and the renewed passport, so that they will stamp the renewed passport? |

olokings: With regards to sending email, there's sending emails praying for action, and/or requesting for status, and then there's spamming.
Spamming their emails will definitely get your email handle flagged.
Type your email to reflect a genuine personal and unique intent and situation which warrants them breaking protocols to review your case.
Don't just think you can spam them with numerous bombardment and think they'll answer. They have spam bots for that.
By the way, I was still getting replies from IRCC responding to emails I sent since mid-aug requesting for my case to be closed... they no know say I Don collect my passport keep am cool for house..lol
A pro tip- keep your emails to the bearest realistic, and follow every email with a web form. Add your application details (the type that MPs usually ask when they want to request your case file from IRCC) to the Web form.
And every week, the email should change to reflect how your situation is escalating as time is passing by.
If you have any new information, leverage it as an opportunity to remind IRCC of your application.
Case in point, I lost my Father In-Law, who I added to my family tree, and updated my application with a Web form notification to IRCC say the med treatments have stopped and he has been buried. I even added burial poster for evidence.
See, these people hold transparency to the highest esteem so don't relent to back every and all of your claims in your application with verifiable evidence.
Good speed Please, for someone whose passport will expire in Jan 2023 and awaiting PPR, is it advisable to send the scanned renewed passport through webform and emails? |

muvey10: My question. I am a PR and want my brother to come for my wedding in December. I tried using the new portal but I am unable to pass the activities section saying it’s not up to 10 years meanwhile I put 10 years. The old portal , are they still giving VV witt that portal? Both the new and old portals are stagnant. No PPR for now. Hopefully it will change soon and we will all rejoice over our approvals. |

Frankrobbn1: Please be properly guided that the visa officer doesn't have access to view the transactions outside the stipulated timeframe (April to September) you gave to them.. The essence of the mybank statement certificate is for the officer to verify your bank statement at ease without contacting your financial institution.
I hope this answers your enquiry.
It will end in praise Thanks boss |

bepositive11: That's good. As long as you explain all this information clearly and submit the necessary documents, I don't think you have any reason to worry about the VO being suspicious of your bank statement and account history. Thank you |

Predator188: They will only see April to September transactions unless they request for previous... You will have a better chance with POF If the minimum required funds is already in April as opening balance... Then Funds grows continuously till September even though expenses..slow and steady is the best!! A Huge deposits you may need to show where you get the money!! Then Keep money available till the application finishes .. And VO can't log into your account .. Thanks a lot. You don answer my question. |

bepositive11: Since it was the exact amount, don't worry. It's easier for the VO to believe your explanation.
Two other people have explained the MBS statement.
I think the most important information is what is the source of funds for that account? Is it your salary? Is it client payments? You can include some evidence to show that it's from a legitimate source. Thank you so much. The account was savings and the living expenses that was more than 4M was transferred inside it from the sponsor. Though the tuition fee has been paid already. Necessary documents from the sponsor will be submitted too including statement of account to show the source of the fund. |

megastu: the key you refer to is to guarantee the authenticity of the bank statement. The VO can only use it to see the very statement that was contained in the Passcode. Okay, thank you so much. So that means the VO can only see the period someone tell the bank to put inside it. Like if I tell the bank to put between March and September. The VO can only see between the March and September right? |

bepositive11: I saw your previous comment. The amount that you received that was meant for your sister, is it the exact same amount that you sent the following day? If yes, just explain properly.
This your comment is not clear. VOs may contact your bank directly to verify your account balance but I've never heard of them logging into a person's bank account. Banking regulations will never allow that but VOs may request bank statements with longer history. Why are you asking though? Is there something you want to hide? Yes, it was the exact amount that was sent out the following day with a description to show what the money was meant for. And about the my bank statement, absolutely nothing to hide but the account just started running like a year ago. Transactions for 3yrs ago till last year are scanty. What I mean by login into it is that my bank statement is not normal statement of account, they will give you username and password and that's what the VO will use to check the authenticity of the account. |

Pease, if someone requested for my bank statement from the bank for visa application from April to September for example, will the VO be able to see previous months transactions when they login into the account to check or they will only see the transactions between April to September?
Please, someone should answer my question biko. E jor, I dey beg ni. Anyone wey know the answer should please reply. Thank you |

OLAMINREWA: You may not be totally correct. I did my passport renewal online with less than 18k, and I never regretted it. It depends on the state and how soon the person needs the passport. Immigration officers feed on desperate applicants. I knew I would need my passport in September so I applied and captured in June and got it in August.
Nigerians have the habit of this fire brigade approach. Sometimes it baffles me when I see people applying for visa for fall intake in June/July/August with this snail pace IRCC processes applications, quoting all scriptures to back it up. Yes you may get it but the chances are very slim and you may even end up making avoidable mistakes.
If you want to apply for your passport online, please do but if you have excess bucks to give for fast track, you can also do as well I understand you but it's very risky to apply online cos of time, 6months you may still be waiting. Generally, I will never advice anybody to do it online. |

Please, in a situation whereby you haven't print your statement of account that has your living expenses already in it but a huge lump of money was paid into your account and the money is not meant for you but your sister. Does it have any implications on someone's application if you send out the money the following day to your sister's account? Is someone safe if the money doesn't stay in someone's account when printing the statement of account for the study visa?
Also please, if someone requested for my bank statement from the bank for visa application from April to September, will the VO be able to see previous transactions or they will only see the transactions between April to September?
Please, someone should answer my questions. Thank you |

soulmate19: People of God, pls which is advisable to do, register and make payment online for passport renewal or use an agent. And if one is doing DIY, in how many weeks can one go for capturing? And like how long will it take for the passport to be ready after capturing? Pls anyone that can just give me an insight into how the DIY works? Thanks Never ever try to apply for passport online. If you do so, you will regret it. Go to the immigration office and do your passport renewal, it's not hard. The duration of capturing and for passport to be ready is not stable. You can wait a month now after paying before doing your capturing and the passport may come out within 2weeks to 4weeks after capturing depending on where you do it. |
