Politics / Ghana's Ex-president, Kufuor Is Dead!!! by bettydee(f): 9:03pm On Nov 15, 2016
Mr. John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor, the former civilian President of Ghana, is dead.
He died in Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday morning following surgical operation on his spine.
According New Mail, quoting Reuters, Kufuor was flown to South Africa to receive medication after complaining bitterly about an excruciating pain at the spinal cord.
A team of doctors were said to have conducted a second surgical operation on Mr Kufuor’s spine; but unfortunately he passed away just after 45 minutes of the Surgery.
Though it’s obvious to provisionally attribute his sudden demise to the spinal problem, doctors have assured the public they will soon release autopsy report to ascertain the real cause.
An autopsy will fully confirm the cause of his death, but the best guess at the moment is the spinal problem.
Today is a sad day, Mr Kufuor’s death has come as a big shock to his party members and the entire Ghanaian Community, as Ghana is just on the verge of undergoing electoral exercises.
John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor born 8 December 1938 was a retired Ghanaian politician and statesman who served as President of Ghana from 2001 to 2009.
He was also Chairperson of the African Union from 2007 to 2008.
His victory over John Atta Mills after the end of Jerry Rawlings’ second term marked the first peaceful democratic transition of power in Ghana since independence in 1957.

A top secondary school at alhaja bus stop, idimu, lagos is in need of qualified and experienced science teacher who will teach Biology and Chemistry. PGDE/B.ED teachers stand a better chance of employment. The school is located precisely at alhaja bus stop, on the way to Ikotun, Lagos. please contact the school on 08064054607.

The school is one of the various schools i submitted my cv to. I have received four responses, and im currently with one.
For those of you who depend solely on this thread for job, you need to develop yourself first in terms of career/certificates, then go out there and submit as many cv as you can. Schools are everywhere out there, teachers are changing schools every month, and no top school will place an advertisement outside their school gate.
Im still waiting for the 'transfer window' - i know schools like Turkish, Chrisland e.t.c will come calling (by God's grace). I wish you all the best, fellows.

Still on it oh bros. @Sunnypar. By the way, do you know how much Bachel Academy would pay for Maths / Physics Teacher?

Bachel Academy, Ayobo, ipaja and ikotun campuses. 28-30k, compulsory 2k cooperative savings, compulsory welfare contribution, compulsory tax. But do not neglect the power of negotiation. All the best.

Am in such delima right now. And am so worried. I was lucky to get a good PPA and it being helpful financially even though I work more than am nbeen paid. Plus adding both FG and theirs together is something. But the bad thing is they don't retain. So how do I tell them I want to stay back? Have being thinking myself on what move I can make. sad any ideas please? Though am not at the head office where I can get direct contact with the Oga patatapata. But I don't know what to do. Been applying for jobs since November and have not gotten a single invite. Going home is a no for me. Please any idea? cry POP is just in less than 2 months

That's why this thread was created. Hopefully you will get one or two ideas. May God help you.

It's all about weighing the two to see which provides you more and better chances of getting where you want. But staying back is usually the tougher choice because one is most likely outside his/her comfort zone

This is helpful...your moniker though.

It all boils down to the state and area you are serving....

Going back home is like starting from lane 1,but then you can go back home and start a petty business with your saved allowance, you won't need to pay rent or feed yourself always when you are with your parents...

But if your PPA offers you something nice, stay back

ok...free house and food in my parents house.

Good day everyone,
I have been wanting to talk about this for a long time. We all know how it is for every graduate, you dream to get posted to a good state with state and local government alawee. After that you pray you are posted to a lovely ppa where life is enjoyable. After that comes POP!!! hmmmmm
Then the CV distribution starts. Is it in for one to maintain your ppa because there are no jobs, stay back in that state until you get a job (most people don't want to go home anyway) or just return to your parents house and finish the savings from your alawee. Nairalanders what's your take on this?
