Let me say something into your brain. Football is a team game, theres no rule that says one player should be the one to score.

For example, Ronaldo scored against Ajax and did his best, but if another had stood up and score, then they would not have been kicked out.

In Liverpool case after loosing first leg and their best player (Sarah), did they give up? Didn't someone else stood up in Mane and origi?

In Barcelona case, Messi carried the team in the first leg, why can't the other players also contribute in the second leg? Don't they have a striker that doesn't score in the UCL? Must the goal always come from Messi?

As for me Ronaldo deserves the top 10 for sure but he does not deserves the award In anyway, Messi performed better than him last season by far, u cannot use a single loose against Liverpool to judge him, he performed poorly at Argentina for sure but u cannot use that to erase his other big performance, see I think Messi, virgil or mane deserves the award
