Politics / Re: Why Did Awo Lose The 1979 Election? by BiafranFirstSon(m): 8:00pm On Oct 14, 2011
Awo lost because the only people that supported him were from the west. The northers from origin do not see others as leaders so they did not vote for Awo. The easterners on the other hand were still remembering the war and the role Awolowo played in starving them. Ekwueme is another tool Shagari use to get all the votes from the Biafrans. So they opted for Aboki Mallam Shagari. And again some yorubas were back biting Awo.

i think dandy that u r surrounded by those type of people cos i see differently.my sister for instance is a banker, a manager o.she gets caught up wit work and is so busy but mennnn she cookssss delicacies.the kinds of food that takes time and coordination.my sisters inlaw too, the same.enough variety.maybe its cos of where i am from sha.
its a personal thing.
but the guys fall in love with such "lazy" babes and marry them, probably cos they are good in some other areas, if u kno what i mean grin.

[color=# those who are bitter about this are those that can't cook. Women!Stop giving excuses and learn how to cook good meals for ur sake and future. All those foods u go out and buy are cooked someone else. It is shameful those basic things like cooking and washing, Men who are helping their wivies are doing that out of love not because it is their duties as a husband to cook @ home. Nite clubs and aristos have spoilt our women, They don't even have shame anymore.

Hmm, men pls stop b.i.t.c.h.i.n.g and start helping out, i was raised in a balanced family, everyone did their part, my dad cooks sometimes, he does his laundry and pays the bills, same as my mum, slavery is  OVER, my husband MUST be a freak in the kitchen, don't expect your mother's clone as a wife, you're looking for your better HALF, not a whole. MAN UP AND GET WITH THE TIMES.:-P
So you are still single?, PELE , keep searching God will surely bless u with a cook as a husband. So u can have enough chance to gossip around and go to night clubs Mtcheeeeeew.

Its funny how some people are reacting to this well articulated post by the poster. Some are saying thats what you get for marrying a career woman, then you ask what does the career woman they are talking about do? A teller in the bank? is that a career woman? i Laugh in pidgin. we have this career woman thing mixed up.
Look!! what the poster is saying is that ladies should wake up to their responsibilities. Knowing how to cook, taking good care of your home does not make you a slave neither does it mean, your husband is taking advantage of you.
A man as well as a woman have their natural responsibilties in the home and mordernization or civilization only requires some level of understanding from both of them.
@ poster, i just want you to know also that there are still wonderful trail blazing lady professionals out there that are perfect wife/mother materials
U are very right and for that, God will bless ur brain till infinity, say amen!

kulumo:

It seems all the ladies are not comfortable with this post. But that's the reality; every bit of the post. They even deny their hubby sex in the name of being tired as a result of work thereby making a faithful man fall. Well God shall surely judge on the judgement day. All those marital vows women makes and they refuse to honor it, i will honor u, with my body etc, God shall judge.
Tell them Mtcheeeeeew!

Girls should stop going to akata, this will be the best solution to this coz most girls 80% in these universities become aristos at a certain point. its saddening.
[color=#very saddening indeed, Chai ebelebe egbuoooo! Culture / Re: Is The Igbo Language Dying? by BiafranFirstSon(m): 11:47am On Oct 14, 2011
This is not called an ignorant. It is called the most stupid post. Trying to cover his shame from his point of view , If every igbo person will refuse to speak igbo language, i will never go back. I must speak igbo that is my identity. Even in Togo, In Asiyeye and Asigame to be precise we speak igbo language loud and clear! No pretence. Even Togolease are learning the language so as to flow with us. Onye igbo kam bu, Igbo kpomkwem!
rhymz:

This is the most ignorant post that I have read on NL in a long while. Which Igbos converse with eachother in English Language? The ones in Alaba? Ladipo, Yaba? Balogun? Trade fare? Abeg which one. Some of you become so inferior that you begin to mouth off utter ignorance, just because you want to be accepted by your non-Igbo friends and look neutralized. Imagine the way you are busy in your ignorance boldly rapping about how it is not encouraged in your home and bla bla bla, Are you the man of your home or you play second fiddle to your non-igbo wife to keep the peace, you wimp of a man. Little wonder Igbo is dying in your house, speak for yourself, don't ignorantly clump others to share in your folly.
I know your yoruba pals like it when you sound self defeatist but which of them will even admit it that even their own language faces thesame threat? No? At least I know for a fact that Yoruba people make up to 45% of the Nigerian population in London, how many of their kids there can actually speak fluent Yoruba without any resort to helping themselves in English when it gets difficult. You all are quick to run your mouth and talk about Igbo parents, when right under your noses, you are confronted with thesame problems. Solve your problems before talking in judgemental tone about other tribe in your myopic views. Igbo language dying? What a laugh, you lot should leave lagos a little bit and interact with core Igbo bred families and childrien in the east and see how stooopid many of you sound.

If that is Forbes award, then don't expect Mandela's name to be there. Since his release from prison, America has seen him as a terrorist because he fought for apartheid. His name was just removed in 2008 from terrorist list. America is the head of Forbes. They don't want Mandela to be celebrated but we all know he is a "Hero".

Shameless Tinubu! You stayed 8 years in power and only thing u did was legalise "agbero". You are fighting Fashola because he refused to give u some %tage of tax payers money. Now u are talking to the federal government about roads. The roads u mentioned were worst during ur tenure, Addict!
Politics / Re: Best And Worst States In Nigeria by BiafranFirstSon(m): 9:41pm On Oct 12, 2011
Anyone whose state is mentioned as critical cannot agree therefore calling Nigeria a failed state. From 1960 Nigeria has been failng. Let no one pretend that it started today. IMO is my state. My state did not fail. Your state can be a failure. Like freecocoa who hails from Ekiti! I can read bitterness from you.
Politics / Re: FG Sacks NAFDAC, NDLEA & Others From Seaports by BiafranFirstSon(m): 7:27pm On Oct 12, 2011
With NDLEA & NAFDAC in the ports fake drugs are still making their ways in through the sea port in the country. None of them is free from corruption. GEJ has done well. Health is there to checkmate the drugs. Afterall NAFDAC is under health. Nice move Mr Prresident!
Politics / Re: Police Detectives Storm The Nation's Office & Arrest Four Editors by BiafranFirstSon(m): 6:45pm On Oct 12, 2011
@ sun of God. I don't know if lies against the president and the ex president to sell paper and cause commotion in a troubled and distressed Nigeria is the form of freedom of speech you speak of. NL is not an umbrella where people hide and insult the president. Let's say GEJ is not older than you,yet he is your president and needs to be accorded some respect.

@ lordNaya well said. God be with u.@ okija juju, U are just a shrine. A shrine does not do or appreciate anything good. A shrine can only kill, steal and destroy. So keep to ur diabolic ways.@ freecocoa, go back to ur state if u have any and complete ur first degree and masters. That is if your state has a school. Or are you running away from witches that wants to suck u dry? If that is the case, then appreciate good thing, appreciate peace and good people ,appreciate Owerri. Also i want u to tell me which state u come from, if ur state is good and accommodating, u won't go out from there. I put it to u that Owerri is better than ur state capital. If it is a lie pls post the pictures of ur state capital. Be proud of ur cocoa capital. NONSENSE!

desertboom:

@chamber. Hahaha. . . I laugh you with your blah blah blah, my state this, my state that. A good number of your people from your state are also enjoying prosperity of life and good education in my state too, many have not even been to their home town before because of good life offered to them, my state has offered your people with scholarship, security, education and many poverty alleviation programs. You thought I'll tell you my state of origin so that you'll quickly engage me in tribal talk. For your information, I'm not a tribalist and I'm not against progress too. My point is for people to know the reality on ground not just some fancy cheap billboard photo. It's very funny that you've labelled me with all manner of names and tag me evil, and enemy of progress just to prove your point and project yourself higher. We're talking about your fake advert and photo of Owerri so stick to it. If you don't like it I'll tell again that many of this your photo are political photos enough said!
@ desertboom pls tell us ur state and post some pictures of it. We will applaude you. I want to correct another lie here. Igbos dont stay in another man's home and call is his. We always believe that no place like home. I am now in new owerri near all seasons @ the moment. Owerri is very very beautiful. If u like go hug naked wire
Travel / Re: Owerri, Imo State In Pictures by BiafranFirstSon(m): 7:04pm On Oct 11, 2011
@ poster, that is owerri. The problem with most people in NL forum is they hate to see beautiful pictures of other states. If the poster had sent dirty picture, those who are making all these noise will say YES that is Owerri. I live in owerri. Ikenegbu layout to be precise. The pictures are all in owerri. Nobody can change it. Appreciate good things, it will com to you soon. Hypocrisy begats hatred & hatred begats stagnancy!

@Rhino5.dm,  If u have issues with people from the east just come out and make it clear. Tell me if any other party had ruled Nigeria after Abdulsalam's military rule if not PDP. What is wrong to vote the person u chose? Is this not democracy? Complain if you want to complain but pls let S/E be. All these bitting fron NL will not help things out! The line said Bankole who is supposed to be in jail bought a house worth 45million, you started saying people from the east should not complain. We voted GEJ, did we vote Bankole in? Eunice love. Eunice listen
Anywhere,everywhere,whatever i do
I want to do with you
Night and day i dream of you
Nothing comes easy without you
O Eunice where are you

Everyman dreams of a good woman
So youthful,so truthful,so useful
High and low a like they search
For an ebony like you
Without you my problems
are as hard as the Islamic beads
O Eunice where are you

I tried to stop the tears from flowing
I tried to amend my heart that you broke
I tried not to remember your face,but i can't

Am sorry if i caused you tears
Am sorry, am crying too
I search,I cry, I pray and wait
For your return
Eunice my love.

Bukky is the only girl i see as a tickler
She tickles me with her little prattle
She makes kissing a zestful duty
And love a zealous game to play
She makes me feel cardinal in the world
That's my Bukky

Bukky knows when am sick
She knows when am salubrious
She loves to see me smile when she is around
And ask those questions that i call prattle
That's what makes her a tickler
O' my bukky

Bukky calms the tremor with her smiles
Now that i want her by my side
She disappears and comes in a blue moon
This makes me groan in pains,it hurts and hunts
Yet i needed to see her face
That's my Bukky

Bukky gives an unconditional love
She knows she is my only girl
She comes as an uninvited guest to check my ways
Each time she come she twist her lips in a cheerful smile
And make me fell at ease
O' my Bukky

They tried to change her mind with their words
To play side kicks like they do
Now she is in a dilemma
But after this rain and storm
The bone shall rise again
And Bukky remains my Bukky

The truth is that Lamido Sanusi did not close/sell intercontinental bank because of incompetence. He is indirectly taking over the bank. He's Just fronting the AIG Imoukhuede & Bukola Saraki giving them loans to make the takeover easier. I know some people will still blame GEJ for over loan. Haba Mallam Sanusi!

Bad roads and high way
Ethnic and tribal wars
Corruption and bribery

Thieves and burglars

Police shooting and senate looting
Impeachment and replacement
Importation of beans and exportation of garri
Fuel scarcity and deregulation
Thats all you can find in a country

Poems For Review / Tears From Africa: by BiafranFirstSon(m): 11:22am On Oct 08, 2011
Tears,anguish,sorrow,pains and agony
We experience in our daily lives
Things are taking a turn to the worse
Yet,we want to carry on to survive
I know you are not happy
at the rate your children are loosing their lives
Each time i see you in my dream
i see you with tears, why must it be so
Mama Africa ,Why

Millions of people we loose
Each time we fight
Millions again we loose
To vampires with vigilante cloths
And many more to ritualist
Many to accidents because of bad roads
Thousands to wild animals in Sahara while trying to
Escape the hardship in Africa to Europe
Why must it always be Africans
Mama Africa,Why

In the denomination
Catholics are fighting the apostolic
Anglicans fight the Presbyterians
Cherubims are the worst enemy of the Celestia's
Yet,they all keep the sabbath the holy
In honour of He who creates Africa
And in our hearts hides
Some evil thoughts by evil men
When i asked why it must be Africans
All i see is your tears
Mama Africa,Why

Aids was first seen in America
Now it is spreading in Africa
Those of us who went in search of greener pastures
Are coming back with this deadly venture
If Africa is good and accommodating
They will not go out looking for another paradise
Other continents are guiding their children
But why must we be the most affected
Why must it be your children
Mama Africa, Why

I see you crying again
Stop and tell me for once
When will this storm be over
Mother of blacks,When.
