The Former Kano State Governor and present Senator of Kano Central Senatorial District, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau has blasted Rivers State Governor, Nwesom Wike, for allegedly demolishing Mosque in the state, describing the action as barbaric and totally condemn-able.

Shekarau said in a statement he personally signed on Friday that “all rationale and conscious citizens of this great country, Nigeria should join in condemning the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for recklessly demolishing the Rainbow Town Central Mosque located at the Trans-Amadi Area of Port Harcourt, and for irresponsibly declaring Rivers State a “Christian State,” and claiming to owe no apology to anyone.”

He said, “Muslims and other right-thinking and peace-loving citizens of this country should come together to condemn, in strongest terms, this irresponsible, reckless, rabble-rousing Governor whose apparent aim is to ignite a religious conflagration, the kind of which has never been seen in recent times.”

“If a Muslim Governor were to come out openly and declare his state a “Muslim State” and proceed to demolish a church for any reason, all hell would have since broken loose in Nigeria, and sections of the Christian community would have since rushed to the “international community” and even the United Nations seeking protection against Muslims,” Shekarau worried.

“The action of Governor Wike is a pointer to his being induced by other than rationale brain waves, as no leader in his right senses would contemplate stoking these embers of discord in a country so religiously, ethnically and regionally charged as Nigeria.”

South East Governors, on Saturday, rose from an expanded meeting and resolved to commence a joint air operation to flush out bandits from all forests in the zone, “and to make it a continuous one”.

The meeting was held with the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, representative of the Minister of Works, heads of security agencies at the national, zonal and state levels, Managing Director of FAAN, the President General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, Prof Barth Nnaji, among others.

The governors also restricted inter-state movements of herdsmen and their cattle as well as foot movement of cattle and herdsmen from communities to communities across farmlands in the zone.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting which was attended by Governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, David Umahi of Ebonyi State/Chairman of the Forum, Willie Obiano of Anambra State, Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State and Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, the forum commended Gov. Ugwuanyi for being the first to commence the operation of Forest Guards in the South East and encouraged the remaining states to launch theirs.

The governors “banned herdsmen who move about with AK-47 guns and cutlasses” and asked security agencies in their various states to ensure the implementation.

On Operations Python Dance, the South East Governors Forum, through its Chairman, Gov. Umahi, who read the communiqué said they “never invited the Army nor were South East Governors informed of their Operations Python Dance until the operations were already started in the states”.

The governor agreed to write President Muhammadu Buhari for a meeting with him and all the Service Chiefs on security to douse tension in the region.

On the closure of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, the governors disclosed that the Minister of Aviation assured them in the meeting that the airport would be reconstructed to meet the Abuja International Airport standard, adding that the runway repairs and other renovation works will be completed by December this year.

The governor further disclosed “the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, will be given face-lift to accommodate flights that would be diverted from Enugu Airport to Owerri Airport”.

Edo Governor, Godwin Obaseki said the nation lost about 22 million barrels of its crude oil production to oil theft between January and June 2019.

Obaseki disclosed this in a statement issued by Ndu Ughamadu, the Spokesman for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation( NNPC) on Thursday.

He said that if nothing was done to curtail the ugly trend, the figure could double by the end of the year.

The governor, also chairman of the ad hoc committee of the National Economic Council on Crude Oil Theft spoke at a stakeholders meeting held at the NNPC Towers.

He said the menace of oil theft and pipeline vandalism were beginning to pose a threat to the national economy.

The governor called on stakeholders to join forces and work toward eradicating the menace of crude oil theft that was currently on an upward swing in the country.

The NNPC Monthly Financial and Operations Report (MFOR) for June revealed a 77 percent rise in cases of oil pipeline vandalization across its network of pipeline infrastructure.

According to the report, 106 pipeline points were breached, representing an alarming increase from the 60 points vandalized in May 2019.

Nigeria is a very complex country. Our problems did not start yesterday. It started about 1894.

Lord Lugard came here about 1894 and many people did not know that Major Lugard was not originally employed by the British government. He was employed by companies. He was first employed by East Indian Company, by the Royal East African Company and then by the Royal Niger Company. It was from the Royal Niger Company that he transferred to the British government.

Unless you know this background, you will not know the root causes of our problems. The interest of the Europeans in Africa and indeed in Nigeria was economic and it’s still economic. They have no permanent friends and no permanent interest. Neither their interest nor their friends are permanent. Nigeria was created as British sphere of interests for business.

In 1898, Lugard formed the West African Frontier Force initially with 2,000 soldiers and that was the beginning of our problems.

Anybody that wants to know the root cause of all the coups in this book and our present problems and who does not know the evolution of Nigeria would just be looking at the matter superficially. Our problems started from that time. And Lugard was what they called at that time imperialist. A number of British soldiers, businessmen, politicians were very patriotic. But I must warn you, they were operating in the interest of their country. Lugard became a Lord. Nigerians, too, should operate in the interest of their country.

When Lugard formed the West African Frontier Force with 2,000 troops, about 90 percent of them were from the North mainly from the middle belt. And his dispatches to London between that time and January 1914 was extremely interesting. Lugard came here for a purpose and that purpose was British interest.

Between 1898 and 1914, he sent a number of dispatches to London which led to the Amalgamation of 1914. The Order-in-Council was drawn up in November 1913, signed and came into force in January 1914. In those dispatches, Lugard said a number of things which are the root causes of yesterday and today’s problems. The British needed the Railway from the North to the Coast in the interest of British business. Amalgamation of the South (not of the people) became of crucial importance to British business interest.

He said the North and South should be amalgamated. Southern Nigeria came into existence on January 1900…….At the centenary of the fall of Benin, I wrote a piece in a number of papers but before I published the piece, I sent a copy to the Oba of Benin.

My attention has been drawn to a planted story by the Nigerian Presidency, claiming that my tweet that General Buhari was not invited to the G 7 Summit because of his misrule is “misleading”. I am glad they did not say I lied. They only said it is misleading. Since that is the case, let me clarify.

The article claimed that African nations are invited to the G-7 on a rotational basis. This is not true. African nations are invited to the G-7 based on their economy and their governance and the RELEVANCE of both of these to the G-7.



For instance, the largest economies in Africa will usually be invited, except where such economies have governance challenges arising from misrule or other anti democracies practices, such as compromised elections.

Nigeria is Africa’s largest economy (due to past governments, not the Buhari junta) and should naturally be invited to represent Africa at the G-7. The claim by the Presidency’s hired guns that Nigeria was not invited due to the rotational invitation policy does not hold water.

Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame was invited to the 2018 G-7 summit which held in Quebec, Canada in June of 2018. He is also invited to and is attending the ongoing G-7 summit holding in Biarritz, France.

If the invitations were done rotationally, as the Presidency’s hired guns would like Nigerians to believe, Kagame would not have been invited to the G-7 back to back. Kagame was invited back to back because he is relevant to the G-7.

The truth is that Nigeria was not invited to the G-7 summit because of governance and democracy challenges. For example, just a week before the summit began, Nigeria was censured for misrule by a G-7 member state.

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has revealed that he is not scared of traveling abroad due to threats that Nigerian politicians have been marked for attacks when they travel out of the country.

The Grand Deception has Begun: Jubril-Buhari Still Missing in Japan over 24 Hours after Departure from Nigeria

As with previous photoshopped visit of the impostor Jubril Al-Sudani on behalf of the dead Muhammadu Buhari, the much publicised presidential visit to Japan has kicked off with another round of deceit, well crafted lies and photoshop.

We must recall the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, issued a statement a few days ago regarding this visit. In that statement he said and I quote, "President Buhari will be accompanied by governors Babagana Zulum, AbdulRaham AbdulRazaq and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Borno, Kwara and Lagos States respectively; ministers and other top government officials."

Yesterday Femi Adesina went ahead and published photographs allegedly taken inside the presidential jet as those mentioned above sat with Jubril-Buhari on their way to Tokyo. (Please see the first picture)

More than 24 hours after the widely reported departure of Jubril-Buhari presidential jet from Abuja and without any confirmed landing at Tokyo airport or elsewhere in Japan, where IPOB had camped waiting to receive him, shockingly another set of pictures have emerged from Aso Rock claiming to be pictures of Jubril-Buhari being welcomed by a group of Japanese, this time Gov. Ortom makes a mysterious entry as part of the entourage. See second picture.Incredible! Which country on this earth welcomes a head of state with a banner? See third picture.

Gov. Ortom that wasn't mentioned as part of the original entourage has miraculously appeared in Japan seated to the left of the Foreign Minister Geofrey Onyeama. The world can now see how fraudulent politicians have been deceiving gullible Nigerians with their photoshopped pictures over the years. The public should not be deceived, Jubril-Buhari is not in Japan and if he is, he is in hiding. He should come out to address the people or make known his presence.

Note, there is no video coverage of him being welcomed to Japan as protocol demands but out of the blue pictures have emerged of a 45 year old man claiming to be Buhari, all smiling, in an undisclosed location somewhere they claim is Japan. Where is NTA News? Nigeria is a country founded on lies and will die by lies.

Aso Rock should stop hiding Jubril-Buhari, they should bravely announce or disclose where he is staying as every genuine head of state would. They should proudly tell us where their Sudanese president is hiding that we may give him proper IPOB welcome.

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived at Haneda Airport in Yokohama, Japan for the seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development.

The conference themed ‘Africa and Yokohama, Sharing Passion for the Future’, will take place in the city of Yokohama from August 28 till August 30, 2019.

President Buhari is expected to drive for few minutes before he arrives at the Park Royal Hotel reserved for Heads of state and government attending the conference.

It is expected to focus on Africa’s “economic transformation and improvements in business environment and institution through private investment and innovation; promotion of resilient and sustainable African society for human security; and peace and stability in support of Africa’s domestic proactive efforts.”

The President is accompanied by Governors of Kwara, Borno, and Lagos states for the conference.



Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, had earlier on Friday said the President’s participation would be his second, having attended TICAD6 in Nairobi, Kenya, in August 2016.

According to reports as obtained, A couple in Nnewi, Anambra state is currently being dragged online for brutalizing the little girl pictured above, who serves as a maid in their home.

Kelvin Ugochi who shared the photos of the battered girl online, said he saw her at a fuel station in Nnewi yesterday August 25th looking terrified.



A little interrogation and the girl revealed she has been subjected to serious beating from her guardians. Kelvin in his post, said he took her home and to his surprise, the guardians informed him that the little girl deserves more than the maltreatment she has received from them.

The police in Lagos have on Wednesday arrested four policemen for extrajudicial killing of two suspected robbers in their custody.

The policemen identified as Inspector Fabiyi Omomayara, Sergeant Olaniyi Solomon, Sergeant Solomon Sunday and Corporal Aliyu Mukaila the command said, would be charged with murder because they breached the code of professional conduct and use of fire arms.

The killer cops were seen in a video that surfaced on the social media shooting the suspects alleged to belong to a notorious armed robbery gang terrorizing Iba.

It was gathered that the cops had responded to a distress call around 3pm on August 19, from one Valentine Anugu who was robbed of his mobile phone worth N450,000 by four armed robbers on two motorcycles.

While two of the suspected armed robbers fled, the others were held, disarmed of the two locally pistol, six live and five expended cartridges they had before shooting them inside the commercial bus they (police) used for the operation.

Condemning the action of the policemen, spokesman Bala Elkana, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) said they went to the extreme and violated the rules on the treatement of suspects in custody.

Although the gang was said to be notorious in the area, the police team took their celebration of the arrest to the extreme by killing the suspects, Elkana said.

“The team went extreme by killing the suspects who were already in their custody instead of taking them to the Police Station and allowing the normal process of investigation and prosecution to be initiated as stipulated under procedural laws.

“That act of extrajudicial killing falls short of police professional standards and cannot be condoned by the command.

The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, Zubairu Muazu has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.

“The police officers are currently subjected to internal disciplinary proceedings known as Orderly Room trial and if found culpable, they will be dismissed from the Force and handed over to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Yaba for prosecution in the conventional court.

“The public will be updated on the outcome of the investigation and trial,” said Elkana in a statement released on Wednesday.

The funeral of Reverend Father Paul Offu who was murdered by suspected herdsmen along the Ihe-Agbudu Road in Awgu on Thursday, August 1st, held at the Holy Ghost Cathedral Enugu yesterday August 20th.

The state Catholic faithful, as well as Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, attended the funeral of the 49-year-old clergyman.

Until his death, Father Offu was the parish priest of St. James the Greater Parish, Ugbawka.

Shehu Sani, the immediate past Kaduna Central Senator, has said that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will end with President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Sani, who used to be of the APC, explained that the ruling party was not formed on the basis of ideology, hence its end in 2023.

He made this remark on Tuesday while receiving the executive members of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, on a courtesy call to his residence in Kaduna.

The former lawmaker stated that the future of Nigeria was dependent on having a political party with credible leadership and a clear ideological direction.

Sani also stated that one of the major tasks before PRP remained the reformation of the party for “men of honour and integrity to take over relevant positions and win elections in 2023 in order to free Nigerians from deception, fraud, and misrepresentation of which the ruling APC is notorious.”

He pointed out that “APC begins with President Buhari and it will end with Buhari.

“APC is not a party that is founded on ideology; it is a party that is found on resentment against PDP and it is also a party that is founded under the banner of President Buhari.

It is unfortunate for all the promises and pledges of cleaning, reforming and reconfiguring this country; the ruling APC had failed.”.

Southeast governors have accused the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, of pursuing a selfish agenda mainly for himself.

The governors also warned Kanu, who is on the run from Nigeria, that he would be repatriated to the country to face the wrath of the law if he dares attack any of them abroad as he had boasted.

In a statement by Dave Umahi of Ebonyi and chairman of the southeast governors’ forum, he and his colleagues claimed Kanu was only pretending to be fighting for Ndigbo.

They said he is “pretending to be fighting for Ndigbo and would soon be exposed him if he doesn’t retrace his steps.”

Southeast governors are saddened with the ugly display and dance of shame by IPOB in Germany in attacking one of the finest leaders of Ndigbo, Senator Ike Ekweremmadu. We totally condemn it as we weep for them as they never knew the implication of their naked dance in public.

We have also noted the empty threats by Mr. Nnamdi Kanu (a former ordinary member of MASSOB) to attack governors of southeast, Ohanaeze leadership and other Igbo politicians for not supporting the self-acclaimed supreme leader in his self-fight for the raw power and wealth while pretending to be fighting for Ndigbo.

The lawmaker was later whisked away in a car, after several attempts to stop him from escaping.

I attended the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo Germany in Nurnberg today where I was billed to give a keynote address along with the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, who, however could not make it eventually.

I was given a resounding welcome by Ndigbo in Germany and everything went smoothly until some men, who identified themselves as IPOB members stormed the venue and began to complain about the killings in the South East, stressing that there would be no Igbo event at the venue.

I tried to engage them, but when they became unruly, I had to leave the venue. The organisers also invited the police and I was accompanied out of the venue.

Much as I am disappointed in their conduct, especially as I am one of the persons, who have spoken up on justice for Ndigbo, the Python Dance, judicial killings in Igbo land and elsewhere both on the floor of the Senate and in my written and personal engagements with the Presidency as well as rallied the South East Senate Caucus to secure Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s release with Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe taking him on bail to douse tension in the South East, I nevertheless do not hold this to heart against them, for they know not what they do.

Fire broke out at the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri in Imo state this morning after the Central Air conditioner at the airport went up in flames.



Eyewitnesses say there was an electricity surge that caused the AC to catch fire.

The fire affected the bookings and other flight procedures as the surge affected the electricity supply in the airport.

Femi Falana on Tuesday August 6, warned that Buhari will be his first witness in court if the Department of State Services (DSS) arraigns the convener of #RevolutionNow movement Omoyele Sowore, in court.

The human rights activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) made the disclosure at an event organised by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). Revealing that he has been in contact with Sowore following his arrest on Saturday August 3, Falana recounted how the Nigerian President “called for revolution in 2011″though he didn’t mention his name directly. He further disclosed that the former Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) refused to write statement, insisting he must speak to his lawyer.

“I do hope that the government will not be stupid to charge Sowore. In fairness to them (DSS), they gave him a telephone to phone me. Of course I knew they were monitoring the phone, and I told him I hope they won’t charge you, because if they do, some of the people in government will be our witnesses,” he said.

“You know why? One of them, I won’t mention his name. In 2011, he asked Nigerians to learn from the Egyptian revolution and be ready for a revolution in Nigeria. So, he will be my first witness.

“The late Chief Gani Fawehinmi and four other people were charged with treasonable felony by the Ibrahim Babangida junta. I was one of them. We were detained in Kuje prison for two months. We were taken to the court, and what was the offence? I think we went beyond Sowore. We posted thousands of posters across the country, that Babangida must go. That was the treasonable felony” he said.

Though it is still not clear if the DSS will be charging Omoyele Sowore to court, however it be noted that President Buhari called for ‘revolution’ through an electoral process in 2011.

A 24-year-old suspected Yahoo boy identified as Victor Idahosa, has been arrested by the EFCC

The suspect from Edo State, was arrested at Cristolyte Close Diamond Estate in Lekki-Ajah area of Lagos State.

One SUV, two Apple laptops, scam emails, payments slips, cashier cheques, charms and several fraudulent documents was recovered from Mr. Idahosa.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, has arrested one Victor Idahosa for Internet fraud.

Idahosa, 24, was arrested at Cristolyte Close Diamond Estate, Lekki Ajah Lagos, following intelligence report received by the Commission about his alleged involvement in the criminal activity.



Items found on the suspect, who hails from Edo State, include one SUV, two Apple laptops, scam emails, payments slips, cashier cheques, charms and several fraudulent documents.

General Ibrahim Babangida, a former military head of state has described Nigeria as complex and a difficult entity to manage.

Babangida spoke from his residence in Minna when the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, minority caucus of the House of Representatives, led by Ndudi Elumelu, paid him a visit.



Consequently, he called on the legislators to perform their responsibilities honourably and diligently to make the country one entity. Babangida, who said he had been following recent developments in the country, noted:

“I am passionate in observing what is going on in the country; I have developed lots of interest in the ongoing across the country and I think the leadership of the House of Representatives, the speaker, the opposition leadership and everyone are all doing well.

“You represent the people and it is what the people wish that you take up. I want to commend you for doing your job honourably and I urge you not to give up. The country is complex and difficult because in Nigeria, there are as many opinions as there are the number of people in the country. Nigeria is a very vibrant society and what is important is the determination to carry on and you have to remain very resilient in everything you do for the benefit of the country.”

Nigerian doctor, Obinna Oke has shared a rather unfortunate news of the death of an 18-year-old undergraduate student who died after cutting off his manhood.

The name of the victim is yet-to-be made public.

According to Dr. Oke, the young man who has been allegedly associating with internet fraudsters and may be one of them used a broken piece of mirror to sever his penis.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday swore in Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

He became the 18th CJN at the brief ceremony.

Mohammed, who took over from the immediate past and suspended CJN, Walter Onnoghen, was screened and cleared by the Senate last week.

He has been on acting capacity since January, 2019. At the swearing in ceremony were the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege.



Also at the ceremony that started around 10.30am, included Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.
