In terms of the rumor its partially truth. Drs. are d main pple there bcs it enhances there wrk in field work bt that does nt mean they wont accept anoda profession bt its competitive. They will offer u MPH(masters in Pub Health). @ Highness, currently its 76k and 71k for full time and part time respectively, but last yr the admission form was sold @ 12k and now 20k. So its likely they will review it upwards. Good luck...

MSc Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management.
Course Duration: 3 semesters.
Application starts: April

3. University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
MSc Environmental Management and Protection.
MSc Environmental Management and Toxicology
Course Duration: 4 semesters.
Application starts: July

4. University of Port-Hacourt
MSc Natural Resources and Environmental Management (Run in Partnership with University of Gothenburg Sweden and three Nigerian Universities).
Course Duration: 12 months.
Application starts: July/August

5. University of Nigeria, Nsukka
MSc Environmental Management and Control.
Application for 2013 closes on April 2nd (today).[/b]

**Other institutions offering MSc Environmental Management include UniUyo, ABU Zaria and a host of others.

Please NOTE that I placed emphasis on these five universities above based on my personal preferences which include:

1. Not wanting to study in the NORTH (as I already did my BSc there).

2. First generation universities that are prestigous for their PG academic standard and recognized by the NUC.

3. Federal Universities (I prefer them to state and private).

4. Nigerian Universities with good ranks on the 2013 webometrics and 4ICU ranking of universities.

5. Full time courses (some universities offer MSc Environmental Management on part-time and executive basis)

6.(Most importantly) course outline and course description.

UNFORTUNATELY, No university offers MSc in Environmental Biotechnology.....except for UNAAB that offers MSc Animal Biotechnology. Guess we still have a long way to go in embracing the emerging field of Biotechnology in Nigeria.

Please try to keep in touch if you get any info about any of these institutions (especially when their PG forms are on sale). I will do the same. Thanks!

callertune: @all admitted. Congrats. The fees for full time study for the entire duration 4 semesters for MSC is less than 90k while pgd is abt 60k or less for 2 semesters or so. @those expecting, some dept are yet to commence theirs e.g maths, law just started, amongst other few ones. Keep hope alive and track On. If you won't be admitted, d application will be rejected either at dept level, faculty or pg. For payment of acceptance, chill for now till next month or so cos the portal isn't open yet cos admission process is still on for some. Anyway prepare to resume properly in march

I don't blame you because truly there are many strange stories about this business. I stumbled on an article site that advised whoever is negotiating this business to be aware of the following:

4. If you ever get the ones that have illegal access to the product, they work with fraudulent vessel manager/captains/ joint venture operator staff and carry out inspections and draw up fake charter parties with buyer ALL without official permission of vessel owner or NNPC/SHELL ETC.
5. Of course the end result is fake shipping docs, which means these defrauded buyers who have d products in their names are made to become the thieves and guess wat?
INTERPOL most often than not catches them even @ destination port, na di e eye dey clear.
6. There vessel pregnant with another woman's oil, because the intercourse & conception was by fornication.

callertune: The undergraduate calender plays a role in the sch system hence it is all related to sch administrative chain. It is the basics of the university. As for Msc Environmental Control and Mgt, they don't really delay. We hav good lecturers and supervisors. Its a year course work while the other remaining period is for thesis. However, you can commence your research in your second semester and can even finish everything in less than 15months. @all those who hav received their admission letters, Congratulations...

chevron[/b]or some other oil related companies could require some stipulated qty of a certain product, hence they will scout for suppliers, now that is where u could come in[b] OR NNPC may want to sell their product at a cheap rate and with contacts (from people who know, example like me) you could get informed and make your purchases, and so and so the chain of biz keeps going
