GabrielYulaw:
You are comparing apples and watermelons. The contract for the T-72s you are talking about were awarded to top brass in the NA. They went and got near-scrap T-72s for less than $100,000 and then sold it to the NA for around $3 million

I still have Nairaland links to that shit. And yes, it still makes me super angry when I think about it.

What Komekn was saying was that we buy second hand T-72s and massively upgrade them. In case you didn't know, Russian has tens of thousands of these tanks in stock and just parks them cos they are not needed.

We can get them very cheap and that means we can have hundreds of them rolling around our battlefield for the price of what we are paying for these Chinese tanks. Putin might even give some to us for free if we let him spend some private time with Genevieve Nnaji wink
Please don’t even let us go to that era where the likes of Amosun and IHerinjika got hundreds of millions of dollars borrowed to buy new MBT/IFV and jets, last last naa 3rd grade-hand MBT them go buy, Amosun go rent helicopters.
For me too I’ll would have preferred we buy huge numbers of T72 from Russia they have them in thousand rotting. Then build a facility here in Nigeria to upgrade/maintain them, a kind of technology transfer. This would have been a force multiplier but these new babies are incredible.

It would help when you respond to give comprehensive examples.

Maybe l am wrong but l have never heard of a Chadian army base been over run, taken over for days, multiple soldiers killed and weapons carted off and or destroyed.

This is the first time it seems to have happened to the Chadians please correct me factually if I'm wrong.

Boko have been literally uprooted comprehensively wiped out from Chad in the space of a week.

In Comparison how long have Boko made Sambisa thier operating home base without being uprooted ❓ What has been the comprehensive response by the NA.

How many Nigerian armed forces bases have been over run by BOKO and sometimes they Boko have done a rerun and come back . In the past 10 years❓
Chadian and Niger military formations/bases gets often overrun just like NA military bases, few cases with the Cameroonian neighbors.
And you claim you’re not new here on the thread and you have friends and family in the military.
All Boko haram bases has been uprooted in Sambisa forest time without number, the only side we’ve not been able to clear his the northern lake chad fringes and this has been like that for years.
Now BHT has not even been totally wiped out on Chadian soil likewise the Lake Chad basin areas both share as borders. Those rats will keep coming from out from nowhere.

The VT4 MBT (35 vehicles initial orders) of Nigeria Army has landed. What we should emphasize is the inclusion of APFSDS (SABOT) rounds (2nd pix, 2nd munition right of front row)and AT-11 ATGM (2nd pix, 1st missile left of front row) in munitions purchase

Are you actually comparing the T-14 Armata next gen tank with a third gen Chinese MBT? That's total disrespect bro. angry
I too hope to see lots more hardware soon.
Bro the T-14 capabilities has not been tested, yeap it’s a 4th generational tank and a formidable asset.
For me it’s the T90MS variant I love the most and I doubt if it’s available for sale, it’s only for the Russian army.

At least this tanks should be usefull against the gun trucks. Its a $153 million deal. 17 vehicles were delivered today including the MBT, light tanks and some artilleries.
Unit cost of VT4-$3million
Unit cist of armata - $3.7 million
I think we went for the better deal considering the VT4 has almost all that the armata has for a lesser price.
The fact that we didn't hear anything about this deal till it was delivered means FG is keeping a lot of deals secret. I hope so sha.
Hope we see more hardwares in the next few months
More hardwares shopping to also come from Russia and China

99% of guys here now are new comers, during the dark days where SiriusBlack was in the N.E frontline, then we got most of the gist from is thread before it was taken down. Then I was just deployed to the north east for the second time, bomb blast was the order of the day and constant attack on military formations.

The NA was totally humiliated, @samuelanyawu who is saying BHT is roaming freely now in the N.E, way back during the dark days Monguno where his currently working now was totally in control of BHT likewise other L.G.A then.
Much has to be done and can be done, I can beat my chest that things are far better now.

Insulting me or anybody here Sir, is not an achievement, I have been insulted by even a mad person before so there is nothing unique about you insulting me. The only unique thing you can do for us here today is to stop wasting our time and tell us in very specific detail and with timeline on how the Nigerian armed forces that you are insulting us about, intend to:
1. Stop insurgency in the NE.
2. Rebuild the NE from years worth of battle damages.
3. Guaranty the safety and future of Nigerians living in the North East.
4. Equip and train members of the Nigerian armed forces to reflect the threat dynamics of the modern battle fields.
5. Reduce the participation of the Nigerian defense forces in local security and law enforcement operations to 5% or less.

If you cannot do any of these allow well meaning Nigerians to continue to communicate their fears.
Stop blabbing:........
I can see that you have serious issues then if you’ve been insulted by a mad man before. “Your case no be here; you should be rehabilitated where your mates they insult each other”. If you don’t want to be insulted don’t start it or insult first.

ISWAP move freely here in Northern Borno. There are some places here we tag as crossing points. Around November last year on my way from Mognuno to Maidugri, We got close to one of ISWAP crossing points and noticed cars in front of us where turning back, our driver too joined and asked whet was happening. The other driver told us BH are crossing undecided. So we drove backwards for 10minutes and waited for them to finish crossing.

Once it is 5pm when Soldiers have blocked all entrances to major towns, the ISWAP guys come out to play on the major roads. Most of our Organisations free flow boreholes have become their water points.
Dude stop lying, it’s like lying his in your DNA.
The north east theatre his forked Big, BOrno state on its own is way too big and our neighboring borders are way too wide and porous.
Dude during the darks where BHT where occupying over 8 local government area you would learn how to use the word “freely” well.
How many years have you spent in Borno ?

Sometimes last year truly that Monguno - Maiduguri road was a death trap, but what you guys don’t know is if you want to put military check points or base at every border line or roads will make the military capability stretched which will inturn make them sitting ducks to terrorist attacks.

With all due respect You think like the dummies in DHQ.
If iswap was playing in Americas back yard you know they won't survive a day
Talk less of America playing defense.
Stop comparing apples and oranges.
If you've seen combat like you claim then it saddens me seeing you reason like this. huh
Sometimes, it’s better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you’re stupid than open it and remove all doubt.
Mirrors don’t lie and lucky for you they also don’t laugh, your looks and your brain says it all.
Your brain is so dunce that you don’t even know that there is terrorism existing in America not to talk of there backyard and they have been tackling it for years. Ow you think until you lunch a full scale war on terrorist hide-out or locations is when you will be known for battling terrorism.
American’s case is worst because they are sitting on a time bomb, why because of there easy access to weapons.
Lazy ass and no-brainer like you, think battling terrorism is like the ps-4 and war movies you play and watch undecided do a little research of terrorist attacks in America/France and you’ll know why they are fighting for years in Middle East/Africa and they not gotten desired result in long years.

Then what do you want to say about the war in the Middle East waging for over 18years, will you say the United States and her allies are not ready or serious to end the war. After all they have well equipped and modern army.
You people talk about fighting terrorism has if it’s a conventional war. Most of you guys here don’t have glimpse of what you’re saying.
