Eagles, invaders.... Happy happy

It's the new dawn. It's the newborn.

And raise the flag of Egypt.. Raise it to heaven

They renew the days and write it down.

In the forehead of heaven and redemption.

In the forehead of heaven.

For the efforts and the cushions of the principle

And on the ạlbạgẖy we turn and we have men

In the heavens #eagles and on the earth mountains

TROOPS CAPTURE BOKO HARAM TERRORIST, NEUTRALIZE MANY AND RECOVER WEAPONS

Troops of 202 Battalion of 21 Brigade Nigerian Army in Conjunction with elements of Mobile Strike Teams (MSTs) on Operations LAFIYA DOLE, in furtherance of clearance and blockade Operation DEEP PUNCH 2, on Saturday 25th November 2017, cleared Boko Haram terrorists' enclaves in Abusuriwa, Newchina, Bonzon, Usmanari, Goyayeri, Shitimari, Gashimari, Awaram amongst other villages in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
The troops whose continuous resolve in routing out the remnants of the suspected terrorists hibernating within the Brigade’s Area of Responsibility ensured that their superior fire power made the terrorists to flee in disarray leading to the capture of one suspected terrorist, while 8 of the Boko Haram terrorists were neutralized. The gallant troops were also able to recover 4 AK-47 Rifles, 3 Magazines, 7 Dane guns and Machetes, amongst other items.
In addition, the troops also rescued 3 men, 12 women as well as 15 Children, among whom were an aged man and a woman held captives by the Boko Haram terrorists.
The suspected terrorist has been handed over to the relevant authorities for further interrogation, while the rescued civilian captives are being attended to.
Similarly, troops of 152 Battalion of the Brigade deployed as a blocking force at the Foward Operations Base Kumshe to aid a successful clearance operation ambushed some fleeing unsuspecting Boko Haram terrorists and neutralized 5 of the fleeing terrorists, while troops of 151 Battalion also deployed at the Forward Operations Base, Darel Jamel, neutralized a terrorist in an ambush.

lionel4power:
400 IFV should do.

Complemented by maybe 500 APCs and 300 MBTs. (100 T-90s + 200 T-72s)

for a grand total of 1200 armored vehicles.

who are we going to fight with 4000 IFVs? There's so many constraints to consider in fielding such amount of vehicles.
the entire 400 IFV is not enough for the N.E, let alone the entire NA.

Odunayaw:
LOL , every one just churn numbers without considering how many vehicles a Mech bn or Mot bn should have. Even 300 MBT is a lot, standard by the book is 251
thanks @odunayaw

there is another angle in which we are not looking at- which is the vast and enormous size of the north-east theatre.

we have lost alot of brave soldiers due to one reason; fighting with light skinned vehicle which offer zero protection.

do you know how many sections, patrols, and villages our men need to protect. And every of these sections either mobile or immobile we need these IFV to defend themselves and the lives of the people they are meant to protect.

Nigerdeltaboi:
There two different units with different mandates. 72MSF is direct action unit whose roles are associated with mobility, attack, raid and intercept and move on to the next target.
while AFSF are involved in clandestine operations against targeted elements HVTs etc. they don't hang around or hold grounds. They seem to chill during the day and hunt at night from what I gathered. And just like 72msf they do fighting patrols too.
Thanks for the addition bro. smiley

All the arms of the armed forces still has foot soldiers in the N.E.

Only that the numbers of airforce and naval boots on ground has been greatly reduced over the years.

Thanks anyway. Its just that I doubt the efficiency of these guys (AFSF). Despite their presence in NE,BH still has the effrontery 2 carry out attacks. They seem 2do lots of photo ops
Nop thats not a yardstick to judge the whole situation.

the 72MSF enjoyed alot of air support and mobility to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.

BHT are changing tactics and such is the COIN WAR; very complex and changes with time. Alot of factors are to be considered. You give light skinned hilux vehicle to another set of Sf and you expect to perform miracles, Joining the army should not mean a suicide mission.

Do you remember during the dark days when we are having heavy casualties every day, it seems we forget things easily. BH is seriously wounded, they are just looking for cheap popularity.

Although am not saying we should under estimate them with there hit and run tatics.

PRESS RELEASE ON BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS ATTACK IN MAGUMERI

At about 6.00pm yesterday, 25th November 2017, suspected elements of Boko Haram terrorists attempted to attack Magumeri. As a prelude to the intended attack on the town, the terrorists attempted to dislodge the Forward Operational Base in Magumeri, Borno State.
However, soldiers of 5 Brigade Garrison located in the town repelled the attack. The troops fought gallantly. Unfortunately, 3 soldiers lost their lives, while 6 others sustained injuries. The bodies of the late soldiers and the wounded have been evacuated. The wounded are receiving medical attention. Some platforms were also attacked and damaged by the terrorists. Further developments regarding the incident will be communicated accordingly.
The 8 Division wishes to assure all residents of Magumeri that everything is being done to ensure their safety and security. To this end, they are to continue pursuing their legitimate activities without any fear.

Mr Bidexiii, seeing these photos of AFSF,compared to 72msf, who's more effective in the fight against BH in NE nigeria? I'm just asking.
Honestly, i cant really answer your question.

The Egyptian Air Force is running air strikes over the last night based on intelligence.

The law enforcement forces continued to pursue the elements responsible for the brutal terrorist incident targeting the worshippers in Northern Sinai, based on confirmed intelligence and in cooperation with the sons, the air force over the last few hours has eliminated a number of spots. The terrorist elements are taken as a starting point for the implementation of their criminal acts, which contain quantities of weapons, ammunition, explosive substances and their administrative needs.

SupremeCourt:
There is cheap IFV, BTR-80 is like $ 1 million brand new. NATO Puma IFV is $ 5 million, that is 5 times the cost of one BTR-80 and the BTR is good with 30MM gun, can kill any Boko Bastard anti-aircraft gun Toyota dead in 1 minute fire on target. Give Proforce contract. he will build us 800K IFV and that is cheap, believe me.
its high time we give PROFORCE a chance. we can not rely solely on importing military hardware it wouldn't sustain us if we are to defeat terrorism.
