The military budgeters need to stop playing around those L- 39ZAs, Chengdu J-7s, M-346s, and Alpha Jets need to be retired or limited to training platforms. We need at the very least a couple squadrons of JF-17 Thunders and Super Tucanos. The helicopter refurbishment is fine though.
You mean Leonardo M346s that are yet to be delivered huh

Honestly when I saw the L- 39ZAs in these list, I was but some if not all where being upgraded ?

Probably more where being overhauled/upgraded.

Politics › Re: Allegations Of Tribalism Against Me & Nairaland by bidexiii: 10:09am On Dec 30, 2023
Seun:
I would like to address the allegations on Twitter about tribalism on Nairaland or that I am some kind of tribalist, because I was told that not addressing them means that they are true.

The more extreme variants of that claim are being pushed primarily by south-eastern tribalists who feel that south-western tribalists have the upper hand on Nairaland in their battles with each other.

Whenever they are banned after breaking rule 2 of Nairaland, they will go back to Twitter to lament about how Nairaland is against their tribe and how I'm personally working against them.

I urge you to disregard any accusation against me or against Nairaland if the accusers cannot prevent hard evidence to support their claims. These people make things up, and people just believe them.

For avoidance of doubt, I have always been a supporter and admirer of south-eastern people. I will never have any tribalistic bone in my body. I am a human who views people as humans first.

The micro-kernel of truth in the mountain of lies is that Nairaland is under-staffed. The staff I have do not moderate as efficiently as I want them to. They also struggle with following my instructions.

So if you go to Nairaland looking for tribalism, you will find it in certain areas, just as you will if you search Twitter for tribalism, because of people whose main business online is tribal trolling.

However, I want Nairaland to be better than Twitter. I want to improve the consistency of moderation on Nairaland. For this reason, I am in the process of recruiting more people to help.
that's there way, just turn a blind eye to them.

sure i am fine with that

but food for though

nowhere is the world it is different

on the top level more or less same story, provided one is not biased

similar causes, similar ideology etc etc so what's the difference in Al-shabaab, AQIM, ISWAP, ham.as, LeT , mujaheed e hind, hizbul mujahideen and thousands of similiar terrorist orgs fighting in their own words for freedom etc ?

i guess terrorists are good or bad based on which country is on the receiving end grin

anyways was just a thought , no wahala, got own problems bec after isr.ael , next target is in.dia , given the common factor between both of them , no prizes for guessing what it is
I totally agree that we all have our opinions, but at the same time there are facts and fictions.

Comparing HAMAS ideology vs Israeli conflicts with extremist like ISWAP, AQIM & Al-shabaab ideologies is quite different.

Let me use ISWAP/BHT for example that I know of and have witnessed, even Muslims are not spared from the wrath of BH.

When BH started it was about creating there our caliphate; But creating your own extremist caliphate thereby killing muslims and other religion is totally out of point. For me it's just totally madness and evil. Hamas vs Israeli forces is about ancestral home which has been for yours.

Your comparison is huh

just a though in passing or rather a problem for anyone those who support terrorists in other countries for whatever reasons

if one were to be neutral or as a sympathiser of ha.mas and their fight, how is Al-Shabaab, AQIM etc is any different from what ham.as is and has being doing ?

using recent precedence of ham.as actions and the logic put forth by their supporters one can legitimately argue that Al-Shabaab, AQIM etc is fighting for their ancestral lands and rights from their occupying oppressors right ?

what's different ? nothing except that the country/countries ion the receiving end is different

but what's good for the goose is good for the gander right ?
cant have different standards for other countries and different for own

then again in future if countries and people across the world come out in support for Al-Shabaab, AQIM as their did for ham.as for freedom and ancestral rights etc etc things would be pretty interesting isnt it ?

dont mind me just musing to myself
The ongoing Hamas vs Israel conflicts is quite different from what's happening with Al-shabaab, AQIM, ISWAP, or other religious fighters in Africa ?
The above bolded statement; ill quite disagree with your statement/presumptions.
