Health / Egypt Begins National Slaughter Of Pigs by bigboyslim(m): 2:45pm On Apr 29, 2009
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090429/ap_on_he_me/ml_egypt_swine_flu

The health ministry in Egypt has directed all pigs in the country to be slaughtered to eliminate the risk of swine flu. We all know that Egypt is a predominantly muslim country and muslim's do not eat pig. Is this move not more of a religious propaganda than a health precaution?

Koikoi:

this is the time 4 everybody to repent and mend your ways. the end of the world is near!

Naija people again. This is not time for everybody to repent. Everytime is time for people to repent and just because there's a pandemic doesnt mean the world will end. The spanish flu of 1918-1919 killed 50million people around the world and yet the world did not end. Please, look for a better reason for people to repent than claiming the world would end.

Webmasters / Re: Nigerian "google Map" by bigboyslim(m): 4:05pm On Apr 14, 2009
Please, why do we criticize any efforts made by Nigerians to be creative. Any attempts by our people to display their creative works is met with criticism. I'm not saying its wrong to critic an invention but please let it be constructive criticism. How would you feel if you spent so much resources working on a project and all you hear from people is, it is not as good as Mr A's. Google MAPs did not get to its present state overnight.

Thumbs up Ireti and i wish you the best with your project.

Business / Re: Fallacious Rumour About Intercontinental Bank: First Bank Involved? by bigboyslim(m): 8:30am On Apr 14, 2009
If i'm not mistaken, Citi group, a very strong global bank recently laid off close to 50,000 employees worldwide to cushion the effects of a recession. Does this mean they're going under too? i think Nigerians should learn to see things from a deeper perspective. If Intercon Bank is reducing staff salary or anything of that nature, its simply to cushion the effects of a global recession and ensure that they continue to deliver on their promises to shareholders. I read somewhere that this exercise is going to save the bank N1billion monthly. This is a common management practice everywhere in the world. Anytime the world economy shakes, companies are bound to make strategic moves to absorb the shock waves. Even all mighty Microsoft which has always boasted to be recession proof laid off 5000 employees. I personally do not believe that this is any reason to lose trust in Intercontinental Bank. Nigerians stop hating. It gets us nowhere.

Just thought to add that I flunked my own interview when I did it. So dont be overconfident. I think only one guy in our group made it.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Just Got An Invitation For First Bank Interview by bigboyslim(m): 8:13am On Apr 11, 2009
from my recollection of the FBN interview I attended in 2006, it's usually a panel of 4 to 5 interviewers for a group of 5 to 6 candidates. Its a group session where you will be given some topics to discuss, mainly political, economic or any general topic.

Best of luck

And you say you know nothing about marketing. What you are doing on this thread is called online marketing. Infact you are a natural born marketer. Once u finish your IT and return to school, I would suggest you to change your course to marketing.
Romance / Re: Ever Gotten Back Together With Your Ex? Did It Work? by bigboyslim(m): 1:07am On Jan 11, 2009
Personally, I haven't, but I wouldn't use that as a basis to conclude that getting back with ex'es is an abomination, each relationship is unique as you will agree and while getting back might not be the most brilliant idea for some couples, for others, it might be the only chance they'll ever have at experiencing true happiness in their lives. Only you have the right information to be able to make a good decision of getting back or not with your ex.

its not even about dating indian men, because both male and female indians don't like black people how many indians have you seen marrying or even dating a black person?

Its not like they dont like black people. they are just too culture centric. they like to date within their own ethnicity. Even among Indians, there are certain ethnic groups that would never consider dating an indian of a different ethnic group.

I would rather be celibate than date an indian girl though. I have met quite a number of them and they are all the same, friggen selfish individuals.
