Programming / Moving On To J2EE by bigboyslim(m): 7:33am On Dec 12, 2008 |
So, i've spent the last 4 months or so grooming myself in JSE and now i'm thinking of delving further into J2EE. I've heard lots of discouraging comments about how cumbersome and complex and sanity threatening J2EE can be so I thought I'd post this topic to ask anyone who has a fair experience in J2EE to shed some light on the complexity. Do you think its too soon for me to start that, if not what online resources would you recommend for a J2EE beginner. Thanks |
Family / Re: Caught My Husband From Cheating :/ by bigboyslim(m): 5:39pm On Nov 25, 2008 |
@OP I think the strongest part of any building is the foundation hence if the foundation is weak, the house is bound to collapse sooner or later. The only truth I can deduce from your predicament is that the man never loved you to start with. He only married you to get his legal rights to stay in your country and avoid deportation (this might sound outlandish to you but i'm sure the vast majority of posters on this forum are familiar with this concepts). When you said, initially you had no problem with him, its probably because the ball was still in your court in that you guys were married but his legal paper work had not been finalized. hence that would prompt him to dance to your every tune and act responsible. So, how does a man who never loved you in the first place change to become a man that loves you. That is more difficult to achieve than for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle. I can't advise you to leave your husband. What i'll advise you to do is give some serious thoughts to the facts on ground. Consider 5 years down the line living with a man who behaves this way, the type of influence that will have on your little boy. I'm sure you dont want your son to grow up to become a man who has no regards for women's emotions. thats just my 2 cents. Many people have begun saying that sometimes its better to be alone than to be with the wrong person. and if you've ever been in any type of abusive relationship, whether it be physical or emotional, the reason is not too far fetched. |

tope2000: see, thats why you are my number one hun. let me use this opportunity to remind you again that the openness in our relationship is one sided. Just because I can get greedy doesnt mean you are allowed to get greedy too. This is not an equal opportunity type thingy. |

Its always a problem for a guy dating someone who he has to literally look up to when it should be the other way round. In the worst case scenario, a man would rather date someone he can see eye to eye with than someone that will literally look down on him. |

Romance / Re: When You're On A Break Is It Ok To Sleep With Someone Else? by bigboyslim(m): 5:21pm On Nov 10, 2008 |
It's called a break because both parties still have it at the back of their minds that there is a possiblity of getting back together after the break is over. Sleeping around during the break ultimately compromises the essence of the break. The break is supposed to help view your relationship from an outsider's perspective. A period of deep reflection to help you determine what went wrong and things you feel you can do to make it right. Sleeping around during that time will definitely cause more harm than good and so it should not be done. |
Romance / Re: Met Mother In Law With Anoda Man In A Hotel by bigboyslim(m): 10:43pm On Nov 09, 2008 |
Just approach her and tell her, you scratch my back, i'll scratch yours. She'll understand perfectly that what happened at the hotel stays in the hotel. Good in-laws dont kiss and tell. |
Romance / Re: There Is dis Girl Which I Have Not Spoken 2 before That I Like So Much But I don't No How 2 Approach by bigboyslim(m): 10:38pm On Nov 09, 2008 |
@ OP Just say hi. and tell her she seems like a nice person and you'll like to know more about her. I'm not really good at approaching women either but like other posters have advised you, you got to do what you got to do. The worst thing you'll get is a rejection and the good thing about that is you can always learn something from the rejection that'll help you perform better in your next encounter. good luck. |
Romance / Re: Jilted Housemaid Hangs Self by bigboyslim(m): 1:19pm On Nov 08, 2008 |
This is wrong. why should the guy be arrested? Since when did it become a criminal offense to jilt a lover and go with another. The guy's actions were not directly responsible for the girl's death. |

Events / Re: Who Pays For The Wedding? by bigboyslim(m): 6:25am On Nov 03, 2008 |
Engagement ceremony - Venue - bride's house - should be arranged by the bride. Food - bride's family - groom's family can optionally bring additional food and drink to support. Wedding reception - Venue - to be decided by both bride and groom and mutual agreement reached on how to split the bill or how a single party will foot the bill depending on fiancial standing Food - groom's family - supported by bride's family (typically both parties provide food to ensure that their guests do not go home hungry) Anything after wedding reception. Groom's family. This is my understanding of the yoruba tradition. 1 Like |
