Unfortunately the APC as currently constituted doesn't offer much hope in terms of a desirable alternative to the current quality of rulership in place.

Atiku , buhari , no matter what their intentions for Nigeria might be, if any, they won't cut it .

Any advice for a petroleum engineer seeking an oil and gas job? Like trainings that can boost ones chances as well as where to do this trainings in Nigeria , I am a petroleum engineer got my 2,1 degree way back in 2010 and served in 2012
.. been unlucky not to be able to land a job since after service 3rd year counting and needless to say I am in my late twenties so I kind of feel like age is no more on my side. I've attempted dozens of job exams and never gotten past the first stage , maybe I ain't smart enough or maybe I need to chart a different course to achieve my goals.
There are a cocktail of certification courses and all seem to offer potential to a job seeker but due to the pausity of funds I will appreciate if someone experienced advices me on the best possible course of action to take at this time.
I did get the stcw at chakins ph cuz a friend advices me he could link me up with a job if I had that but yeah it never happened so that certificate is as good as useless to me now .
I see there are a lot of guys in here who have worked offshore for a long time and I believe someone can drop info that will come in handy

Unemployment is a really bad thing to happen to a man and I believe it has driven me to the edge and right now I don't know what gives me the drive to keep going forward it has shown me the two extremes. Extreme dissapointment that nearly drives one to depression as well as extreme determination to succeed nonetheless and I believe it's this determination that has kept me going so far it might sound untrue to many but the money has never been my motivation, it has always been a side attraction when I think of working in the oil and gas industry it's the passion for the activities , anytime I come across a thread like this ,I feel like yeah this is what I want but can't have. I feel like contributing meaningfully but have nothing meaningful to say so I sit back and gobble down testimonies of others .. crazy right ?

The fact remains my goal right from time has always been to become a successful petroleum engineer and this has eluded me up until now

I need help /advice ..anybody feels touched enough to drop me a hint I will appreciate . Thanks in advance

Bro thanks for everything .....but you see I've done everything about that game mc5 as u instructed and yeah the game installed and I got to play for sometime and then I closed game, comming back now I keep getting the "update to new version" screen and I follow it and it leads me back to playstore where I can either open or unsinstall the game and I try the open option and it takes me back to the game with another update screen .

I have removed and reinstalled the game and it can't be fixed so I cannot play that game again untill this issue is fixed ..can u suggest anything that can fix this issue

Bro thanks I've successfully installed it but the game is in Russian and it shows a blue screen with stuff written which I believe is a prompt to upgrade my version of asphalt 8 I've seen that screen before with my other version

I realise my query may be diversionary but seeing as there are many experts in the house I feel it won't hurt to seek advice from them

I am a PETROLEUM engineering. From futo and I did get that much desired 2'1 that was way back in 2010 ,finished my service 2012 and of course the closest I've gotten to any oil and gas activity was a services firm were I did my 6months internshiq..

Needless I am totally disappointed with how my career has turned out thus far.
I have always wanted to be a reservoir engineer. I have written more than 2 dozen exams scholarships exams inclusive and have never made it past any. I never imagined a time will come when I will be so clueless and bereft of ideas on how to make a career break.

I am no more a fresh graduate and my age is not in favor of such chances anymore. I have come on nairaland severally where folks like me where advised to go do an Msc funding is a major issue. I have tried for scholarships and no success.

When I read about you guyz who have made it in the industry I feel like a complete failure.

I have nothing to do right now..and I still feel the zeal to become a successful reservoir engineer.

For now I am considering sharpening Up my autocad skills and maybe doing a pDMS as that's what I can afford now. Just to improve my chances of landing a job.

I would have loved to do a well engineering course but the cost is way way beyond me.

Can you experts help me with any tips or advice which will help me get my career on track again
I do not wish to continue to wallow like this I need help ,guidance etc..and I believe someone in here will be kind enough to help me out.

it happens and I actually wake up and find I've "come"..this shit has happened to me way too often.

Coincidentally my career is in shambles as far as I can remember.I studied petroleum engineering at FUTO and since I finished nysc. I've never succeeded in any job interview. Financially I am quite a mess now. Everything I do fails. I've made so many moves that should have uplifted me financially and they all failed. I have to mention there was that one time I made about 2million from no real serious effort of mine.my main targets this year where met though..I moved to a 2 bedroom flat and was able to acquire a car (achieved this in partnership with my elder brother.) But my own set goals my own personal hustles all failed. Every move I make towards earning money most likely fails..sometimes I can't help the fear am sorta jinxed.

since I made that 2m its like the dooors to wealth have shut on me..I mean I get few opportunities and I make change once in a while but on the whole life has been a set back.

And I keep on having dreams when I sleep with women..sometimes my gf other times strange women sometimes I only kiss them and I "come" in reality.

I am catholic and I won't say I pray all the time but I fear God. I pray from time to time. I usually do not pay much attention to issues like this but this days I get worried as my financial/career troubles persist with bleak hope.
