Travel(PHOTOS) See What This Nigerian Woman Was Caught Doing On A Plane To London by Bigpicture(op): 7:21am On Jan 28, 2016
As sent in by someone on a trip to London.

Enroute London today, I saw something that thrilled me and it gave me assurance personally that there exists a God and He is being worshiped by his creations.

A Nigerian Muslim woman that we boarded together, took her time to pray to God at exactly the appropriate time to do so. She asked if she could get a spot and once granted the permission to do as her religion has instructed, she went on her kneels and performed the rites.

That is just to tell you that there is no place that you can not worship your God and that God is everywhere, even in the skies.

Nairaland GeneralLobatan! Man Dies While Driving And Masturbating To Porn Movie From His Mobile P by Bigpicture(op): 7:18pm On Jan 27, 2016
A Detroit man, Clifford Ray Jones, was killed when he was ejected through the sunroof of his car while driving along the highway with his trousers down and masturbating to porn on his cellphone.

Jones, 58, was killed instantly when his car rolled over in the early hours of Sunday morning.

As well as not wearing any trousers, Jones is not believed to have been wearing his seat belt which contributed to his partial ejection from the car.

Daily Mail reports that the accident happened at 3.30am on Sunday while Jones was traveling south on the Lodge ramp to Interstate 75.

It is believed that Jones lost control of the car because he was distracted and was unable to prevent the 1996 Toyota from spinning because he did not have both hands firmly on the steering wheel.

Lieutenant Mike Shaw of Michigan State Police said the incident was among the strangest he has dealt with during his professional career.

He said: ‘ We see people putting on makeup, we see people doing different things as far as hygiene, as far as reading books, it’s almost to the fact there’s so much technology out there a lot of people are more paying attention to what they’re doing other than driving their cars.’

PoliticsNigeria To Receive Another $750m (n150 bn) From Abacha’s Loot; N2bn From Ibori’ by Bigpicture(op):
The Nigerian Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, during an interactive session with the House of Representative Committee on Justice, revealed that the Nigerian government will soon repatriate more of the infamous Abacha loot held in foreign accounts by the former military President, General Sani Abacha.

The amount to be received, the minister revealed, is $750 million (approximately N150 trillion). An additional N2 billion, stolen by the UK convicted, former Governor of Delta State,
James Ibori, is expected to be returned soon.

The minister stated that: “In respect of the recovery of looted assets, the ministry will engage in an agreement waive policy of using mutual legal assistance agreements or other bilateral and multilateral instruments to seek cooperation with other jurisdictions to ensure the repatriation of illicitly-acquired assets in foreign jurisdictions.

“The collaboration will equally involve the engagement if foreign based counsel will attend to matters on behalf of the federal government. Low- hanging fruits being targeted in this initiative include $750 million Abacha loot as well as the £6.9 million of the Ibori loot.”

“In the long run, the ministry will be in a position to coordinate the recovery of billions of dollars in foreign jurisdictions, based on current estimations.”

“It is equally necessary to highlight the fact that the ministry’s current liability for judgment debt is in the region of N75 billion.

“The ministry has however proposed the sum of N16 billion to meet a portion of the outstanding sum in 2016, out of which the budget office has proposed an extremely low sum of N 709,155, 140.00 which does not meet even one percent of the outstanding judgment debts.”

Foreign AffairsSHOCKER: Women Protest Lack Of Men To Impregnate Them by Bigpicture(op): 9:09pm On Jan 26, 2016
Women in Kenya, Ndeiya ward say their drunkard husbands are unable to sire children and they may look elsewhere for sober bedmates. They said their men have abandoned their homes because of drinking too much illicit brew.   Speaking during a peaceful protest at Thigio shopping centre on, the demonstrators said younger women are the worst affected as they are “unproductive”.

“If you walk in this village, you will find so many young married women, but only a few are pregnant. Those who are not are suffering in silence because their men cannot perform,” resident Nancy Wangare said. She said men have been drinking anything alcoholic to keep them high, but society bears the consequences of sexual dysfunction.

“It would not be a wonder if we start looking for men to sire our children. Our husbands will not know anything. We will trick them that the pregnancies are theirs and they will support us,” Wangari said. The 32-year-old mother of one separated from her husband four years ago.

One young academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial position in a big company. He passed the first interview; the director did the last interview. The director discovered from the CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research, never had a year when he did not score.

The director asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?"

The youth answered, "None."

The director asked, "Was it your father who paid for your school fees?"

The youth answered, "My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees."

The director asked, "Where did your mother work?"

The youth answered, "My mother worked as laundry woman."

The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

The director asked, "Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?"

The youth answered, "Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Furthermore, my mother can wash clothes faster than me."

The director said, "I have a request. When you go back today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning."

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back, he happily requested his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange. Happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to the young man.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother shivered when they were cleaned with water.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fee. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his graduation, academic excellence and his future.

After finishing the cleaning of his mother's hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, asked: "Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered, "I cleaned my mother's hands and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes."

The Director asked, "Please tell me your feelings."

The youth said:I know now what appreciation is. Without my mother, there would not have been the successful me today.

By working together and helping my mother, only now I realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done.

I have come to appreciate the importance and value of family relationships. The director said, "This is what I am looking for to be my manager. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life. You are hired."

Later on, this young person worked very hard and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.

Something to think about:

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, will develop an "entitlement mentality" and will always put himself first. He will be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he will assume that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he will never know the sufferings of his employees and will always blame others.

For this kind of a person, who may be good academically and maybe successful for a while, eventually he will not feel sense of achievement. He will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying our children instead?

You can let your children live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it.

After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person.

The most important things are that your children learn how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learn how to work with others to get things done.

CrimeWtf! Man Ordered To Give Police 24 Hour Notice Before Having Sex Or Jail Term by Bigpicture(op): 7:58am On Jan 23, 2016
Talk about lack of space in your life- this guy’s sex life is literally at the mercy of the state.

A court in York in the UK has approved an order whereby a man, name withheld, is supposed to give police a 24 hour notice before engaging in any form of s*xual activity.

This was after North Yorkshire Police sought and obtained a sexual risk order against the man in question. Swxual risk orders are used when someone has not been convicted of a sexual offence, but the police convince a court it is necessary for one to be made against the person to protect the public from him or her.

According to Yorkpress, the order entails that “if the man…plans to start a sexual relationship of any kind with a woman or to have one-off sexual activity with any woman, he has to contact North Yorkshire Police (or if he moves to a different county, the local force) and tell them who the woman is. He must do this at least 24 hours before any sexual act occurs.”

In summary, whether it is a well planned act or an impromptu one night stand, he still has to inform police; which quite obviously defeats the entire purpose of the one night stand.

The order obtained is an interim one, which would last until May 19, when judges would review the order and decide whether to approve a longer one for a minimum of two years.

The order also extends to his use of the internet and phones or other devices he could use to call or text another person.

Breaking the terms of the order can lead to a prison term of up to five years.

PoliticsDrama As Minister’s Wife Refuses To Remove Hijab For MTN Registration (photos) by Bigpicture(op): 9:04pm On Jan 20, 2016
A mild drama played out at an MTN registration outlet in Abuja when a certain Muslim woman refused to remove her ‘hijab’ to complete her SIM registration process.

Following the fine imposed on MTN by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, for having about 5 million unregistered SIMs in its network, it started another round of SIM cards registration in the country to meet up with the January deadline.

At the Garki II, Lagos street MTN outlet, a Yoruba-speaking Muslim woman covered with hijab, refused security search at the entrance to the registration centre.

We gathered that the Muslim woman said she will not unveil herself before she will gain access into an office ‘in her own country.’

A police officer, who was acting on instructions to check every customer before they gained access into the office, told a reporter that, “This woman is a suspect.

“How can you come to a public place dressed like this and you expect to gain access into an office that is not yours?

“No one knows what she has under her veil. She may be carrying a bomb, who knows?

“This is the reason why we insisted on searching her and she claimed she is a Minister’s wife,” the officer said.

Meanwhile, the purported Minister’s wife gained access into the office through the intervention of one of the MTN staff who identified herself simply as Zainab.

Zainab, the front desk Manager, said the unidentified woman asked to be privately attended to as she cannot unveil herself in public.

According to her, “The woman asked me to register her in a private room because she cannot remove her veil. I told her it is not in any way possible and after pleading, I asked her, “what if I want to take your photo during the registration?”
