All i want in a smartphone is a blackberry passport running android os. |
Can you teach me? I love this! |
Tolzeal:and that's exactly what he did. Roger that captain. |
eden2015:mugu |
isidollarboy:copy that |
mazizitonene:you added it to the exclusion list. Good. |
monkvirus:find a nylon bag capable of retaining the heat created by the laptop. Now make sure the power inlet is enclosed too. This done, power ur lappy and leave it to shut down by itself. The problem may be solved by so doing cos ur graphics card will overheat and hopefully get reflowed. Let's know how it goes... |
mazizitonene: Tolzeal:i think he disabled the antivirus permanently. This is risky o, or what ya think Tol? |
Dacronym:let's not format yet. Try there two softwares to remove the rootkit and if no joy, you'll have to copy out your files into an external hard disk, or another media like flash, dvd, etc, then you abandon ship and format. http://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.malwarebytes.org/antirootkit/&sa=U&ei=SbEFVYPXJceMmwX2yIHIBg&ved=0CBgQFjAB&sig2=gwKHSxzQ6Xg1Zu9a-j_juA&usg=AFQjCNHVit-dtyemaqAoVyVa-QbuGKsYpA http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.mcafee.com/us/downloads/free-tools/rootkitremover.aspx&sa=U&ei=SbEFVYPXJceMmwX2yIHIBg&ved=0CBcQFjAA&sig2=WA7fHyZt_yMiqRTzszIgzQ&usg=AFQjCNH7eBlnMkuC9CHtuxwn_ty3Co1EXg |
This is an end time question ![]() |
monkvirus:it may not be the ram fault. May be a graphics detachment from the board. You'll need to reflow it, or use a lil old trick I'll post later. |
Ok. Watch out for me in some years. He will envy me. ![]() |
up gunners! ![]() |
tomzman:not at all. I'm in oyo state. Oyo town precisely. You can get people from Lagos here. Adetwin, deji2009 and co should be able to find experts for you. |
isidollarboy:skipped this problem earlier and failed to address it. It's highly regretted and not an act of cowering. You have decided to install windows 8.1(with the start button) without addressing your keyboard. You'll have to either get an external keyboard (usb), or wait till you're certain of the purported inability of your keyboard's functionality. This said, you'll have to either get a windows 8.1 installation disc, or download the image file online, and burn it to a dvd. Follow these steps thereafter: insert the disc, start the computer press the functional button (mostly f12 or esc) to enter the boot menu, select the dvd drive, then at the prompt asking you to press any key to boot from cd, press a key. *windows is loading files* after that, choose 'install windows' choose custom install (not upgrade), click the drive partition you want to install windows on. (do not format the drive, i repeat, do not format the drive!) click ok; a prompt should show you a message that your selected partition contains windows files already, just click ok. Keep your fingers crossed (probably go and make tea and get some cookies), *copying files* *expanding files* *installing features* *installing updates* *finalizing installation* set the computer name, date, time, etc. You should have the start menu pop up. Bravo! You made it cos you're a genius. Let me know when you get to this benchmark. I'll guide you through the next steps. |
tomzman:here is a little advice and probably the way forward. Kindly download avast! Premier Antivirus, install the trial (regular installation), then update the virus definitions. After that, give your computer a full scan. After taking recommended actions on the scan result, use malwarebyte anti malware to scan further for malware. Reboot your system to see if you can work on it-noting the stability. If the system is stable, then you can switch to whatever antivirus and install the latest version of usb disk security. If otherwise, then that means critical system files have been affected and deleted after scanning. Then i'm sorry you'll have to format your system. However, you can refresh your windows-if you can get there, then if you can't then you can re-install windows whilst retaining your user files, and programs by not formatting your hard drive when re-loading the system. Where do you reside so as to get people here who can fix this for you? |
kudoxs:glad to hear. |
kudoxs:try installing the graphics driver, and the button driver of your laptop. |
heskeyw:it's good as a gift. If you reject it, let me give you my address. ![]() |
heskeyw:no, it can play basic games though. You'll have to set the quality of most games to low, and some hands will nag before opening, and lag and flicker while playing. |
kingsley989:check the device manager for missing drivers |
oswaldvictor72:try another working adapter with matching power rating and let's see |
latfun22:if it doesnt show any logo or any other thing, then you might consider re-seating your RAM. this is advised with the intent that you alraedy acquire a screw driver and the technical know-how of cleaning your RAM, and slotting it back. i believe you know that the warranty can get void, and you can also damage your pc physically, or by static electricity if you touch forbidden parts, or mishandle the components. therefore, i am not ready to be held responsible for any loss/damage caused by you re-seating your ram. thank you. goodluck ![]() |
Smartestelvis:kindly give the maker, model, and configuration of your laptop e.g. Hp 15 Notebook, 4gb RAM etc etc. |
HyDef:check the device manager for missing drivers. this will be shown with a yellow question maark symbol. let us know how it goes. |
TIDDOLL:this can be caused by any or all of these problems: too much dust or dirt clogging your air vent. Hard disk failed smart test, and/or virus infection shoots CPU usage to close to 99% always; run a hard disk test from the bios to affirm the status, log in to windows then open task manager and study the CPU usage-should be between 8, 15 and highest, 40% at startup. Get back to me. Can't type much now. Going to work. |
kingsley989:is the hardware there? I mean can you see an outlet like a fingerprint scanner on your laptop? |
kingsley989:have you tried checking and updating the drivers? |
edobor108:That's either the effect of shock (experienced from physical forces) or the screen have deteriorating pixels which in some cases spreads over time or remains stagnant. I'm sorry to say this but you'll have to use it that way. However, you can return it if you'r still covered under the warranty or buy a new screen entirely. |
ChynoBEATS:thank God it worked. |
live4ever: deji2009:Better still, you can type fsquirt into the run dialog (search for run in your start menu.), make sure your bluetooth button is not orange in colour, select 'receive files' and attempt to send again. If no joy, let's know, if otherwise, pin the program to your taskbar for subsequent access. |
