nairaxchan: some company secretaries charge as much as 2.5million, standard is 500k, but got mine for 300k because of the relationship,Thanks a lot, I think I would go for that, I've registered a couple of companies in the past few years for different purposes and I need to get all their documentation in order |
sseunth: i have gone through the post but he stopped when things are getting interesting. Are you part of the people he helped or better still can you help me from where he stoppedWhat he put up there is more than enough, to start a business you need to be a self starter, Take that and move from there, do what's suggested, grow relationships and network with good brains in school with you, lecturers and co, they could all work with you or give you connects later. No he didn't help me but I cant type long stories so I just searched and brought it up, sseunth: pls if u dnt mind....all my questions wud be directed to u....now on that article, he was like oil servicing or so.....the article was on distrubuting oil and it fractionals n how to apply frm the companies like texaco, shell etc....am i right?....pls help me outDon't want to derail OP's post so I'm replying here, He talked of selling refined oil, petroleum, diesel and lubricants, you can do that by getting in touch with filling stations and organisations who need it and getting suppliers who have it for sale and making the difference as profits (I'm not into that so can't say much on it but I know a couple people who do it) Applying to companies you talked about is if you have services or consumables to supply to them, fabrication, construction, consultancy, etc @akaystum pls create space with placeholders (maybe fullstops) so your next posts come sequentially |

You mean we can register a Ltd ourselves? I was in CAC Port Harcourt to register a Ltd early June and was told I cannot do it myself, Please when did this start? Barristerlaw: Anybody who is interested in registering his own company may so do by following the instruction herein provided. Attached to the instruction is a draft copy Memorandum and Article of Association.you can just adapt it to indicate the names and shareholding of the shareholders |
nairaxchan: what lawyer posted is thru, because i just went through all this wahala to rectify my company name.i got myself a company secretary, although pricey a little bit, it is worth it in the long run.Whats the cost like? |
sseunth: well, i read it on a site....so can you help me out with the figureWhat's the site? Oil and Gas is vast so they might be talking of a specific niche, You can get into the industry with as little as Your skills (and maybe a little cash for P.R, Company and DPR registration) |
sseunth: you need money. Atleast i know you mst have up to 50milliona for oil and gasAnd who told you that? Or you're just throwing arbitrary figures to console yourself? |

Ashantiking: These Eba eaters also like good things. And can afford them too ![]() |
People actually save money or have surplus money at different times. I do a contract and after deducting personal and execution expenses I have a lot left in the bank, that's idle funds and no, it's not an inheritance or gift. Or more familiar, I earn a million naira a month, expenses average out at 200k monthly. End of the year 9.6m is left in the bank.. That's idle too |
Solution12: just looking at the prestige that comes with it.There's not one kobo of prestige in a corolla. I hate those things |

Born2berich: Am thinking of opening an account with morgan capital to enjoy this benefit as meritrade still dey slack on this area and brokerage feesI don submit all the documentation since sef, But them never gree give me login yet seems as I insisted on old chn |
bigass: 480million ke How?0.25% commission of 480m go be 1.2m |
Born2berich: Definitely, it isnt free.. You will have to pay about N1.2M for real time feeds and about N1M for Delayed real-time feeds. End of day feeds is N800K.So Morgan would need N480m in trades just to cover subscribing for the feeds? Diaris...... Site looks good though |
@dav8id What's the lead time from Payment to Delivery and can you deliver to Port Harcourt? |
All this SMN insults, There is a difference, on SMN there are mostly long term investors, here we have mostly traders, In a sustained bear market, People here would loose far more money than those on SMN because the stocks with fundamentals and reputation would be less affected than the flying stocks with no substance behind them, I've seen a bit of all, this is my 8th year in the market. There are stocks I bought 2006 that are still in profit, no matter what happened in 2008 and co, The stocks where I lost money where all speculative plays. I do a bit of both today, I still have my long term portfolio I hardly sell fromm, I get dividends which I re-invest from that, I have my trading portfolio with another broker, I've made some quick money with that but I usually transfer money from there to long term. There's no point. Being sentimental and abusive here, it doesn't help with the way you guys are perceived here, There is a big lot of wisdom on SMN, try and be open and listen to both sides of every story, You'd be thankful when the bears come. You can't wish or pray or bind or forbid them away, they always come |
