2000 Baga killings, Don't believe the army
By Bunmi Awoyemi,

Ph.D DON'T BELIEVE THE FLIP-FLOPPING NIGERIAN ARMY SPOKESMAN - BRIGADIER GENERAL OLUKOLADE I saw in the news this morning that the Military spokesman Brigadier General Olukolade denied that 2000 people were slaughtered overnight in Baga, Borno State as reported a week ago by the BBC and CNN based on eye witness reports. Instead he stated that ONLY 150 people actually died. He had to wait for one week to make this denial after his Commander-in-chief released a condolence message within 24 hours of a terror attack in France killing 23 French citizens empathizing with the French President and the French people. His Commander-in-Chief had issued a gag order against media houses threatening to cancel their broadcast licenses if they reported the story. The same Brigadier Olukololade said he had rescued the Chibok girls only for him to retract his fake press release? The same man said the government knows where the girls are being held but 8 months after the government is yet to rescue them? The same man that said that Boko Haram had signed a cease fire deal only for us to discover that the cease-fire deal is fake? What is most disheartening about his actions is his betrayal of his colleague, Brigadier Enitan Ransome-Kuti Dr. Beko Ransome Kuti's son who headed the multinational force that was overrun by Boko Haram due to lack of proper munitions and weapons as well as due to betrayal from his bosses who failed to warn them about the fact that the attackers were on the way which ordinary surveillance flights by unmanned drones could have done despite a N4 trillion budget over the last 4 years. I will take anything Brigadier Olukolade says with a pinch of salt. May the soul of Brigadier General Enitan Ransome-Kuti rest in perfect peace.

Who Will Call Nigeria “Christian Leaders” to Order By Igho Hakeem Ohwojeheri

We read this morning that the prelate of Methodist Church, Samuel Uche, yesterday in the present of President Jonathan accused Fulani and Kanuri ethnic nationalities of being behind Boko Haram with the sole aim of seizing power and Islamising the country. I could not help but feel “wan kei” that a Bishop of such statute could have vomited such level of foolishness in the present of our President. Very tragic and unfortunate. Imagine that during Yar’Adua reign, that a top Muslim leader stood before Yar’Adua and claimed that Igbo and Ijaw ethnic groups where behind the Niger Delta insurgency in other to seize power and Christianise the country. Imagine the uproar and condemnation such comment would have elicited from Christian communities (home and abroad) and Muslims who would fall over themselves in condemning the President and the maker of such comment. Its a known fact that Boko Haram insurgency started when a Muslim/Fulani was in power. The Bishop obviously knew this, but like his pairs, he is a liar and a vile blackmailer. Another drunk, in a Delta State Anglican Communion, Venerable Felix Okonkwo,(Vicar-in-Charge of St. Phillips Anglican Church, Asaba) said, same yesterday, that APC is out to promote and propagate Islam, stressing that the party has nothing good for this country other than to kill and destroy. In other words, the Vicar meant that APC wants to promote Islam and that means they want to destroy and kill. But every last of these liars knows, as of fact, that APC is not Islamic in any way, and they are not out to kill and destroy. The most unfortunate thing was that the Vicar made the statement while hosting the Governor of Delta State and the PDP Governorship candidates, Ifeanyi Okowa. In gratitude, the said Governor then donated N10 million for the completion of one of the Church building project. Imagine again that a Muslim leader in Kano State accused PDP of being Christian party with the sole aim of killing and destroying. Then imagine that he said this while paying host to Kano State Governor and an APC Governorship candidate. Then again, imagine the Governor donating N10 million Naira for the Islamic leader project. Then don’t even try to imagine the uproar that would follow. Its evidence that what these crazy people are trying to do is to offend and anger Muslims among other things. Muslims, Fulanis and Kanuris have led this country before and never a time did they insult Christians and Christian majority ethnic groups as PDP and their army of “Bishops and Pastors for hire” has been doing. These Christian leaders could have just campaigned for their candidates and ask Christians to support and vote for Christian candidates, but they have to insult Muslims and Islam to make a point, because that is the only way to get their message across to their flocks whom they have been feeding with hate and bigotry since God knows when. As a Muslim, I cannot but caution my fellow Muslims not to allow idiots, who the curse of the Creator are upon, to offend them. This is not the first time they are attacking and verbally harassing Muslims and it won’t be the last, this is how they are. History is my witness. In 1966 they arrested, tortured and beheaded Muslim and Nigeria leaders along with some of their political allies under the allegation that the Muslim leaders intended to Islamise Nigeria. Then they ruled the country for the most part of the next 13-14 years in which they ensured that Christianisation of the country progressed without anybody complaining. When Shagari, Buhari, IBB and Abacha ruled, they did not Islamised the country. The only essence of Christianity to these blackmailers who parade themselves are religious leaders borders on influence and finance. Christ teachings of moderation, humility, kindness even to perceive enemies, love and honesty means nothing to them. It follows that anytime I listen or read the hate messages and blackmail emitting from some Christian leaders in Nigeria, I always asked a question that always go unanswered, who will call these people to order?

PoliticsThe Fear Of Prison Is The Begining Of Change (opinion) by bilms(op): 1:08pm On Jan 13, 2015
Dear Nigerians,
The fear of Prison is the beginning of Change. I
have taken time to hear from many people in PDP
campaign groups. I have observed that they are
not campaigning based on issues bothering the
masses. They are simply asking ; "DO You WANT
TO GO TO PRISON? "
President Jonathan asked the question, Governor
Akpabio asked the same question and so many of
them were so much campaigning against prison.
Now I am wondering why they are so much
worried about prison. Why the sudden fear of
Prison? The answer is: " when dry bones are
mentioned in a story, an old woman becomes very
uncomfortable " If they are not corrupt and are
really fighting corruption. Why are they so much
preaching against prisons? Now I understand why
former governor of Bayelsa was pardoned. I
understand why "corruption is not stealing" and I
understand why the audit report on missing $20
billion won't be released. I understand why we
have more expensive GEJ bill boards than road
signs. Some billboards cost more than a million
and these people have mounted thousands of
them.
Instead of channelling resources appropriately.
They resorted to wasting them on billboards and
jingles on radio and TV. Who has been funding
these things and with which money? Now they are
asking us, the suffering masses if we want to go
to prison. President Goodluck from his speech has
shown that he is not ready to stop corruption.
You can't stop corruption without sending ppl to
jail. I don't fear prisons and if I commit a crime I
should be given the punishment I deserve. Why are
there laws if we can't use prisons? They have
suddenly become so afraid of Prison cell. They
should also remember God Almighty also has a
prison : HELL.
If you want to help PDP please vote them out. Let
them go to prison cells so that they will repent and
avoid HELL.

BOMBS AND VIOLENT ATTACKS ACROSS NIGERIA AS ELECTION CAMPAIGN BEGINS
Abdulrazaq O Hamzat
http://mrrightsng..com/2015/01/let-bombs-and-violent-attacks-stop-as.html

Its not up to a week that the electioneering campaign officially took off in Nigeria, but several violent attacks have been reported.
From Rivers state to Ondo, Gombe, Jos, Abuja, Abia State and other places, reports of bombing and violent attacks is being recorded on a daily basis. It all started in Rivers State when the All Progressive congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari flag-off his presidential campaign in Rivers state, several APC members were attacked and shot on their way to the campaign. According to reports, No fewer than seven supporters of All Progressives Congress (APC) were shot by suspected political thugs who ambushed them on their way to the flag-off ceremony of the presidential campaign, held at the Chief Adokiye Amieyesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt. It was gathered that, the vehicle carrying some APC supporters from Kana Local Government Area ran into an ambush laid by some trigger-happy political thugs, who opened fire on the bus, and in the process wounded six persons, including women. When the incident happened, the presidency or the ruling People Democratic Party PDP didn’t condemn the attack on the APC supporters and since then, countless others have been reported. Few days ago, President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign buses were attacked in Jos, no one was reportedly affected in the attack. According to the reports, some angry youths attacked and set ablaze a campaign bus branded with President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign posters at Zololo junction, Bauchi road in Jos, Jos North Local Government area of Plateau state. A witness, whose car was also torched by the rampaging mob, said another PDP-branded car was also set alight. The source, who only identified herself as Mrs. Rose, said her Honda car was also smashed by the protesting youths. It is not clear if they are members of the opposition party, but the eye witness said the road leading to the area was blocked by the rampaging youth, as they bashed other vehicles plying the route. According to her, the incident occurred in the presence of members of the Special Taskforce on Jos crisis STF, who could not help stop the action of the youth. The incident has generated tension within the state capital Plateau state capital as residents rushed home for safety. However, APC presidential candidate, Gen.Muhammadu Buhari condemn the attack on PDP’s campaign buses. Similarly, Hoodlums attempt to bomb APC’s office in Ebonyi, but APGA’s office was destroyed. According to reports, the wave of political violence took another dimension in Ebonyi State on Sunday as hoodlums attempted to bomb the All Progressives Congress (APC) office in Abakaliki, they were unsuccesful, but succeeded in destroying the office of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), in Ohaukwu local government area of the state. This is coming on the heels of invasion and destruction of APGA office as well as houses of some supporters of the party in Ohaukwu local government area of the state by unknown gunmen alleged to be wearing police uniform. Report said. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ebonti state, ASP Chris Anyanwu, who confirmed the failed bombing of APC office, noted that Police in Ebonyi state were currently working to unravel the people behind the dastardly act. APGA governorship candidate,Sen Anthony Agbo condemned destruction of the party’s office and touching of houses of some members of the party. He noted that, “These agents of destabilization in company of over 20 policemen, attacked the houses of some members in his area. “They burnt the party’s office and destroyed several properties such as furniture and posters, as the policemen who wore police vests and wielded AK 47 rifles, shot at the houses of our members,” he said. Also, APC party office in Okrika Rivers State got bombed According to APC Chairman in Okrika, Christian Asifamaka, he reported that unidentified men bombed the office of Nigeria’s opposition All Progressives Congress in Abam Ama, Okrika in Okrika local Government area of Rivers state. The explosion which occurred at around 3:14 a.m., destroyed the secretariat, bringing down the walls. The damage was quite extensive with the Chairman’s office being the worst hit. The party blamed the People Democratic Party PDP for the attack and it appealed to the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, who is from Okrika that the land Okrika has never spared any person who brings trouble to the land. “We beg our daughter to remember that the land of Okrika has never spared any Okrika person who brings trouble to the land or destroys it. We beg her to please call her people in the PDP to order because Kirikese is bigger than anyone of us and we should not destroy it.” “Let us each hold our political views and try to persuade our people in a civilized manner. This barbaric acts must stop. Wakrike deserves better,” Asifamaka said. The APC chairman cautioned Okrika people in PDP to remember that the land of Okrika has been known to defend itself and its people against aggression and that any Okrika person who brings crises to the land answers for it because Politics is not a do or die affair. Meanwhile, the PDP in Rivers State condemned the bombing of the APC office. The state PDP explained that it received with sadness the report of the destruction of the building and called on security agencies to bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book. A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the state Chairman of the PDP, Mr. Jerry Needam, appealed to politicians to play politics with love, tolerance and fairness. Expressing the belief that those involved in the bombing of the APC secretariat in Okrika must have done it out of an ill-conceived motive, the state PDP frowned on an earlier statement credited to the governorship candidate of the APC in the state, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, that the PDP supporters were responsible for the act. Another attack took place In Ondo state, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State embark on “Work for Change” rally last Friday. The APC described the attack on its members as unjustifiable, barbaric, unacceptable, unfortunate and a threat to fair and credible elections in Ondo State. Similarly, APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun house was raided by unidentified men. The All Progressives Congress (APC) expressed concern over the safety of its National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, and his family after his residence in Abuja was raided in the early hours of Monday by unknown invaders. In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said while hoping that a police investigation would unravel what happened, it was either those who attacked the residence at 1.30a.m. are robbers or assassins. It said while Oyegun was away attending a previously unscheduled meeting in Abuja the invaders struck, his wife who was at home was left deeply traumatised by the raid. However, the party said while it does not known who was behind the raid, it was worth noting that the angry rhetoric and vitriolic personality attacks that had been directed at the opposition by the top leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their spokesmen have heightened tension and put the lives of opposition politicians at risk, ahead of the forthcoming elections. Similarly, the Police in Gumau Division of Bauchi State said it have arrested a 20-year old man for attacking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Toro Federal Constituency, Barrister Hussaini Umar. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Haruna Mohammed said the suspect, one Auwalu Yunus, a resident of Riga village of Zalau district in Toro Local Government Area used a handkerchief to rub the face of the PDP candidate. Mohammed said Barrister Umar was in Zalau village to flag off his campaign when he was attacked by the suspect and as a result became unconscious. He added that police officers visited the scene of the incident and rushed the victim to Ni’ima Clinic where he was treated and discharged, saying the case was under investigation. Again, PDP Accuses APC of Killing Two Members The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State equally accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) members of killing two of its (PDP) members in two separate incidents in the state. The PDP, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt alleged that APC members last Friday shot and killed two members of the PDP, Hon. Hope George and Friday Mbadee Onura. However, the APC has described accusations that its members shot and killed two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members as wild, unfounded, spurious and mere hogwash. Additionally, Violence escalates as suspected APC supporters raze PDP property in Gombe. Despite the pledge by Nigeria’s two main political parties to violence free general elections, violent acts by their supporters appear to be on the rise. Two days after campaign buses of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation were set ablaze in Jos, Plateau State, several property belonging to the Peoples Democratic Party in Gombe State were burnt down on Sunday. The Gombe incident occurred in Gona Village of Akko Local Government Area. Another violent attack was reported as explosion rocks Abia PPA Secretariat. Most recently, An explosion suspected to be a bomb blast also rocked the secretariat of Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) along Warri Street, Umuahia, Abia State resulting in an inferno, which could have consumed the entire building but for the intervention of petty traders who broke the gate of the facility to put out the raging fire. The fire was said to have started when an unknown assailant threw two four-litre paint containers into the premises of the building. The containers were said to have gone off with a deafening explosion. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA) in Abia State, Prince Emeka Okafor, has told newsmen that Abia State Government and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) masterminded the explosion. Okafor, who spoke to journalists on the development in his office yesterday, said the incident was not the first in his party’s secretariat. He alleged that the first time the office was attacked, PPA’s personnel were attacked and property worth millions of naira destroyed. “We suspect our landlord, the Abia State Government and PDP; they destroyed our party office in Umuokpara, we reported the matter to the police and nothing happened. They went about the city of Umuahia saying PPA was dead; they even placed a coffin at the secretariat. They have destroyed our posters and billboards in Aba. Mean while, Abia State police command has stepped up investigation on the explosion that occurred at the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA ) party secretariat in Umuahia. The police public relations officer, Geoffrey Ogbonna who confirmed the explosion that occurred on Sunday night said though it was minor, the police have stepped up investigation on the cause of the attack. With the level of violence recorded in this early stage of the campaign, it is important for the security agencies to devise better ways of ensuring security in the build up to the election. Let it be noted that, a partisan police cannot provide security, it would only turn the citizen against itself. Politucal parties also need to dedicate a special day for education of its members to avoid involving in act capable of jeopadizing the efforts of the party. The party must also have an internal mechanism to monitor its members before any political engagements to avoid unneccesary violence.

Did you know that in 1983, Chief Obafemi Awolowo contested at the age of 74 while Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe contested in 1979 at 75?
Did you know that Ronald Reagan became US president at the age of 70 and served two terms of four years each?
Just last December, Tunisia sworn in Beji Caid Essebsi as their President. Did you know how old is he? President Essebsi is 88 years old. The election that brought him in as president was the first free and fair presidential election since the country (Tunisia ) gained independence in 1956.
If a 72 years old grand "Pa" (as the haters called him) can give me constant electricity, guarantee maximum security (stop the killings up North), put food on my table and stop corruption that a 57 years old young man who is suffering from an inferiority complex can not give then I will be a very big fool to refuse such CHANGE.
So those making noise about BUHARI's age should shut the hell up and give in for a great change.

Agenda For Peace With Mr.Rights: Why Insecurity Cannot Be Tamed
Written by Abdulrazaq Hamzat
http://mrrightsng..com/2015/01/why-insecurity-cannot-be-tamed-by.html

There is need to review the current mode of policing and security in Nigeria and other African nations. It is very crucial at this point because insecurity is everywhere and there seems to be no way out. Police and other security agencies have no solution to the insecurity challenges, government and leaders seems to be helpless, they can’t find solution to the numerous crisis and other route causes of the challenges. Even the law court which was described as the last hope of common man now look like the death zone for common people. Just few weeks ago, a law court sitting in Ikirun, Osun state sentenced two young men to death for allegedly stealing fowl. There is law, but there is no justice. While those stealing billions go Scot free, we condemn those who are made robbers as a result of government failure to death for striving to survive. Also, Inter-personal and inter-group conflicts is increasing by the day, conflict in Jos is not ending, communal clashes in Nasarawa is escalating, crisis in Benue, Kaduna and other places are also resurfacing. There is no end in sight to all the insecurity in the land, yet government seems helpless and less concerned. This apart from the constant religious clashes, public attacks, counter attacks and many more. On a larger scale, insurgency is a major threat to many African countries including Nigeria, why is there crisis all over the place? we must review the mode of policing. It should be noted that, the major reasons for crises in Africa are not entirely internal, but local and foreign problems combined which ride on the back of internal grievances. Since conflict is inevitable in human existence, what usually cause conflict escalation from within is the perceived unAfrican court processes which breeds hatred, contempt and lack of trust that usually creates permanent enmity. Police engage in the use of force in ordinary civil matters, people are unlawfully detained for no just cause and in some cases, the law enforcers concoct false charges against innocent victims to get financial benefits, failure to pay such demand land many in jail. A random survey indicate that, many perceived the police as the peoples enemy, rather than friend. Therefore, Provided these current trend of human rights abuses by security agencies continue, provided the court are failing to provide true justice, provided people continue to perceive the government as strangers with no people’s interest, certainly, the current spat of insecurity cannot be tamed. No amount of ammunition, personnel or resources by security agencies can prevent the crisis. Insecurity is natural reaction to human abuse. Since conflict in one part of the world could equate to conflict in the whole of the world, it is safe to say that, peace in the world cannot be achieved until there is peace in Africa, and the peace in Africa cannot be a reality until the Africa peace institution are revised, reintroduced and standardized to meet demand of the 21st century. It is on record that, peace institutions in Africa before slavery and colonialism varies in different communities, but there is one distinguished quality that merges them together, it is called the African Palaver (AP). The concept of African Palaver is widely used to settle conflicts in Africa before slave trade and colonialism. However, various communities call it different names. Among the Kpello people of Liberia, it is called, the house of moot. It is a council made up of the kinsmen and neighbors of the conflicting parties to a conflict. Where every claim from both parties would be investigated with honesty, transparency and at the end of the findings, judgment would be delivered and all party would share drinks no matter how complicated the issue may be at first. In Chad, it is called Cofono among the Toubou society. It is also known as Adzo in Beti society in Cameroon. In Tanzania, among the people of Arusha, there was instituted Golib, which was a peace institution used for the prohibition of feuds and hostilities between and within families, clans, villages and communities as emphasis was laid on abundant food, harmony, fecundity and the common interest of all the people. The African palaver was also recognized in Kenya. The Gikuyu elders of Kenya had it impressed on them that their primary responsibility to the community is the prevention of conflict between members of their communities. The prevention of violent and deadly conflict that would involves the use of supernatural powers, open hostilities, bloodshed and destruction of properties. In Nigeria, this concept varies and can be summed up as follows: The council of Elders, kings in council, town or village assembly, masquerade system, hunters association, oracle and deities. The guilty party is made to compensate the other party in a proportional manner that is made to be symbolic rather than as punishment. In Mali, it is called the keeper of the word of authority; they render justice in the name of their ancestors. When conflict is brought before them, they first listen to both parties, call witnesses, and then question both sides and the witnesses, starting from the eldest of these local judges to clarify issues and get the true picture of the conflict. The use of palaver is the emphasis on restoration of harmony rather than on who is right or wrong. This concept involves three stages: 1. Persuasion stage where delegation would be sent to both party for persuasion. 2. Where both parties would speak or give a speech on the issue involved, their fears and worries etc 3. Is the decision stage, where the institution settle the conflict and restore harmony. The Traditional approach to conflict prevention is done through socialization, Africans see human existence as unified, interlinked and integrated. Investigation reveals that in South Africa, there exist the concept of Ubumtu which means, collective person hood. This concept is contained in the Nguni proverb that states that, “I am because we are.” From childhood, people were taught to live in harmony and avoid trying to win at all cost. Africans impart in the children that a quarrel with others is to be regarded as a fight between blood relations. Many people do not know how myths, idioms and proverb were initiated, in the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, at a point of sorrow to a person, when consoling him or her, they would say, ''Ironu ko ni dada tio se fun ara'' which means that thinking has no good to offer the body. But at other times when they try to impress the value positive thinking into someone, they would say, “a lai ni iro nu'' which means, a thoughtless person. This is done to always suit different purposes in the name of managing situations. Inculcation of myth, use of proverbs, idioms, folktales and songs to describe nature and how to live in it was a way to preventing, managing and resolving conflicts. Study also shows that, the use of traditional institutions in conflict monitoring, the family ,council of elders, king in council, clan, etc were used in the task of conflict monitoring and prevention. Each family head is employed and mobilized to prevent conflict through peace education, conflict monitoring, mediation and reconciliation. Ritual treaties and blood covenant were used to remove fear and engender trust, bind families, villages and avoid wars. Such treaties involved powerful deities which makes it not easy to violate as violation would bring dire consequence. Institutions and celebration of festivals during which the virtue of peace were extolled in songs, rituals are performed and prayers for peace are made by all. The use of sanctions, marriage, oath taking, diplomacy like such between the ruler of Mali and Shangai are all means to monitor and prevent conflict in Africa before the advent of slave trade. Slave trade, colonialism, religious misunderstanding and the European commerce which promote crass materialism and individualism were factors that destroyed the family solidarity and corporate integrity. This was responsible for the weakening and eroding of indigenous peace institutions. However, Maya Angelou noted that, it takes more than a horrifying transatlantic voyage chained in the filthy hold of a slave ship to erase someone's culture. Africa's history did not begin in slavery, and despite the peculiarity, horror, and duration of enslavement of Africans, slavery occupies a minor timeframe. Maya Angelou said. It was revealed that, Christianity existed in Ethiopia long before there was the "Church of England". Islam exited in Africa before it even reached outside of what is today Saudi Arabia. Libraries and universities existed in Islamic cities such as Timbuktu, where advance mathematics and astrology were studied. In Ethiopia for hundreds of years the Kebra Negast was written in the only surviving African native script Ge'ez. Ethiopia was the only African nation to actively repel colonialism and is one of the world oldest continuous civilizations. Africa has always been part of the Biblical, Jewish and Islamic world. It was a common site to see Ethiopians in Rome or anywhere in the "known" world. Modern day Israel was also a site for Ethiopian pilgrimage and Mecca was for Muslim Africa. The historical trip of Kanka Musa was said to alter the economy of every state he passed through on his way to Mecca. History and development didn't happen in isolation of African agency. Slavery and Colonialism did victimize Africans, but Africans are not histories perpetual victims. Africans in antiquity had agency and made conscious choices which contributed to the development of humanity. In Axsum the course that Ezna took to make Christianity the state religion was based on his sovereign agency. Regardless of orientation, to believe Africans have been on the receiving any of other people's whims is to deny African human agency. Agency swings both ways and as much as it holds us accountable it also defines our station in civilization. The African peace institution before slave trade would not only restore peace but foster development and unity. We must review the current mode of policing and incorporate African mode of policing which is seen as more people friendly. We must empower the traditional institutions to play vital role in ensuring peace and providing proper education for the people, we must ensure the role of family solidarity is restored in a more standardized way and limit extent of police intervention in civil matters especially in rural areas. These would not only help reduce the current insecurity in the land, it shall position our society for prosperous future.

Jonathan Govt is violent driven, terrorst friendly and hostile to the citizens- Activists

President Jonathan do not deserve a second term because his government is violent driven, terrorist friendly and hostile to the citizens -IG Wala

A human rights activist, Mr. Ibrahim Garba Wala has urged Nigerians not to support president Goodluck Jonathan for another tenure in office. In a facebook message, IG Wala explained why the president shouldn't be supported. In his word, ''I can still recall when the former Minister of Labour speaking on behalf of President Jonathan, referred to those of us at the protest ground as miscreants. He was full of pride and arrogance, feeling as if it was a dictatorship regime. The statement he made on Television encouraged the Chief security Officers (CSO) to President jonathan to lead some security thugs in a covert operation on us in Abuja during the Subsidy protest in 2012. They came in Six Toyota Hilux with hefty men dressed and armed, most of them covered their faces like Boko Haram. They attacked us in a violent manner with guns, batons and electric teaser, destroy our equipments, made away with our laptops, IPads, Phones and other digital devises. He stated. Explaining further, Ig Wala stated that,'' Myself and few others were beaten to the point of death until some of them concluded that I was dead.'' he said, adding that, Similar attacks took place in our first place of protest close to the Federal Secretariat. we were practically molested and robbed by the Security operatives. He maintained that, For every protest in Abuja and Lagos, Jonathan solution had been a violent approach on us. We may also recall the sponsored thugs that came to the Unity Fountain to disrupt the BringBackOurGirls daily sit-out. It is an act of violence to use guns and electric teasers on innocent citizens that are victims of your bad policies and sheer negligence. ''Today, the same Jonathan is softening his voice to plead to us to vote him again, what does he need the votes of miscreants for and those he wanted to kill?'' ''The level of atrocities committed by criminals and terrorists is enough to prove to us his level of incompetence, poor governance and height of impunity. This is someone that cares not about the plight of the victims of the crisis in the North East. He used their condition to solicit for funds and the funds are nowhere to be found. He concluded that, President Jonathan do not deserve a second term because his government is violent driven, terrorist friendly and hostile to the citizens.
