THE PDP GAME...CAN I BE WRONG?

Although, i have longed believed that the PDP crisis is a staged crisis, a strategic formula to check the increasing fame of the All progressive Congress. Tactical loss, for a strategic victory.

In my view, any serious political party must be concerned with the rate at which the APC was growing in fame and popularity which may amount to wide range of acceptance by the public.

In an effort to cut that short, the PDP introduced what i call THE PDP GAME. A game which would deny the New APC all the media attention and shift the attention to the PDP.

The APC seems to have fallen for the game, unguided themselves and submit their raising profile to the PDP just easily..i didn't expect this from a party which claimed to be ready to take over the central govt.

If you think i am wrong, flash back to about 2 to 3 months ago, which party dominate all the headline? pick a news paper and show me one paper that would not carry the APC story on its first page every day? few or none at all.

but since the ongoing PDP crisis begun, how many APC stories have you seen on the front page? How many times have you discussed the APC?

The PDP has taken over, they dominate every discuss, every top stories, every new stand, every youth circle, every political analyst and so on.

in a nutshell, APC have submitted their lead.

The PDP is full of wise politicians, they are mastered strategists. They took over the headline, and in no time, they shall transform the advantage into a strength..They shall resolve their crisis and hold unto the lead and may never submit it cheaply.

Some people are expecting the 7 rebel PDP Governors to decamp to APC..But that will never happen.

Sule Lamido, The Governor of Jigawa who was said to be interested in the presidency come 2015 is a hardcore Buhari antagonist, he will never give up for Buhari. Hence, he will never support a party with Buhari. But i wonder why many didn't see this.

Finally, let me say that, it takes good strategist to defeat the PDP and APC must re-strategize if it want to create any upset come 2015.

Labour Party Remains Nigeria’s Only True Progressive Party - Mimiko

Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko, said Labour Party remains the only true progressive party in Nigeria committed to working for the people of Nigeria.

Mimiko who stated this at the National Executive Council meeting of the party in Abuja, said Labour party remains the party to beat in Ondo State, adding that the party will create ideological ethos for Nigeria politics. Speaking to delegates from across the country at the party’s national secretariat, Mimiko said the interest of the people will remain pivotal in the policy direction of his administration’s development initiatives.

‘’I want you to be rest assured that we remain firmly committed to the true ethos of progressive government and that we indeed are out to prove to Nigerians that Labour party remains the mansion of true progressive politics in this nation. We will continue to run government in such a way that you will remain proud of us as a party.

‘’We are conscious of our roles in history as the first Labour party government in Nigeria and I want to assure you that I will not do anything to detract from that privilege. We are out to actually create an ideological ethos for Nigerian politics. We are out to prove that in spite of the liberalized economies that is being practiced all over; in spite of globalization, there is still room for ideology in the politics of our nation. An ideology reflected in the choice you make on behalf of the people, not in terms of posturing, not in terms of all the sloganeering, we remain the true progressive party of Nigeria’’.

On the issue of merger, the Ondo State governor said, ‘’At the appropriate time we will be able to make the alliances that we need to make without detracting from the major ideological trajectory of our party’’.

When i am elected president of Nigeria, I shall give Nigeria, Africa and the wold peace.

Many have been complaining in Nigeria, Jonathan is worst, Yar'adua is not good, Obj didn't do well. They have been saying Abdulsalam, Abacha, ibb, Azikwe etc didn't do what was expected of them and till date, the complains continue even though everyone who led the country came from different part of the country.

People have not asked, why are they all failing?

So i am asking, why have they all failed?

Just one thing is responsible, lack of peace.

Peace is not a situation were there is no insecurity, it is a situation were every one is pleased with each other.

Is America pleased with Russia? Is Saudi pleased with Iran? Is Chin pleased with Usa, is Zimbabwe pleased with with Nigeria? the answer is, No.

Since the independence of Nigeria, hardly has a time ever occurred where everyone is pleased with each other. though, in most of our history apart from the civil war period, the country didn't experience much crisis, but since peace is not the lack of crisis, but rather, the lack of suspicion. If there is no crisis, it doesn't mean there is peace, it only means there is silence. These past period ensured that, In the face of oppression, there is silence, in the face of hunger, there is silence,in the face of violation, there is silence, in the face of abuse, there is silence, in the face of hatred, there is silence and in the face of lawlessness, there is silence.

The summation of the above only ensures one thing, unwillingness to collaborate and partner to excel.

The experience also ensured the willingness to accumulate unreasonable amount of resources not needed what soever, but desired to be kept for security of one's future and future generation yet unborn even if they may never need the resources.

This is not just about Nigeria, it is the same all over the world.

if i am elected president of Nigeria, i shall ensure there is peace. This shall be achieved because as a peace expert, i shall work with all individual to resolve the issue that led to the silence in suspicion. i shall ensure that there is no tribal hatred, religious contest, suspicion of interest and counter interest and ethnic superiority.

I shall also follow the same path in restoring Africa and model it in the world.

It is my believe that, if these barriers are removed, the poorest country in the world would live happily rich without hunger, unemployment and crisis.

your observation is well noted, however, senate can only stop the appointment of an undeserving and unqualified candidate. Even at that, the position shall not be left vacant, the president will have to replace the rejected person with another person..

GEJ RESERVE THE RIGHTS TO HIRE AND FIRE AT WILL

i wish to state that, we must respect the office of the president and the right to hire and fire at will that he reserve.

It seems many people have forgotten that Good luck Jonathan is the Nigerian president and as such, only him have the sole decision to hire or fire any minister he so pleases. But As far as i am concerned, Gej has not done anything wrong by sacking any minister since he appointed them in the first place.

It is worth to note that, Few of us knew this ministers until Gej appointed them and if in his assessment, a minister as under performed based on his expectations, he reserve the right to fire them any time any any day.

So, No matter how much we adore a minister and rate him or her high, it is Gej that made them adorable for giving them a chance to serve in the first place, and if we despise a minister for his or her bad performances, it his Gej that should be despised and held responsible.

For this reason, we must entirely respect the right of the president to fire anyone without complains.

Although, I understand that the sacking of the 9 ministers has a political undertone, as all the 9 sacked ministers were the nominees of his present political opponents, but still, those who nominated the ministers only made recommendations, gej made the final decision to appoint them. If a minister perform well, the credit will not go to the nominator, but the president and as such, if the minister under performed, the discredit wouldn't go to those who recommended them, but to the president who appointed them.

However, it will be very unwise for the president to sack performing minister because of a struggle with those who nominated them, this in my opinion is because, if the minister is performing, nobody would credit the nominator.

But if we look at it from another perspective, it will be very uncomfortable for the president to continue to work with ministers whom he perceive to be loyal to his political opponents. This is expected from him as a human.

So, From what ever angle we look at it, the decision of the president to fire or hire is his sole decision and should not be contested.

Offa: My life in danger, says PDP candidate

Date: 2013-09-12

The Councillorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Shawo South West ward in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Mr. Afolabi Olawole, has said that some persons are seeking to kill him for rejecting the victory awarded him by the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission in the rerun election of August 31.

Olawole, who spoke with journalists from his hideout on Wednesday, said that he had been receiving telephone calls threatening his life and members of his family since "I refused to be part of the fraud."

Olawole said that he was not bought nor received any promise from anybody before he came out to reject the victory. He added that he knew he did not win and there was no way he would be at peace with himself occupying the office whose election he knew he did not win.

He debunked the claim by his party, the PDP, that he was not its candidate. He explained that he was the PDP candidate at the first ballot and during the rerun poll as well.

Olawole said that there was never a time he left the PDP. He added that the KWASIEC, which conducted the rerun election, listed him as the PDP candidate for Shawo SouthWest Ward.

He said, "I will say what I have said before: The APC candidate won in all the eight units in Shawo. The results were collated and announced after the election but things changed after.

"My name is on the list as the PDP candidate. I am not a member of the APC and I was not given money or anything to reject the victory. I did not win and God knows. I am a Muslim and I won’t claim what is not mine. I was not bought over by anybody.

"They are threatening my life: they are sending messages to me through my people and I have been receiving telephone calls."

Asked if he was ready to join the APC now that the PDP no longer wanted him, Olawole said that the people of Offa would determine his political future.

He said he was not aware that the PDP planned to rig the election, adding even if such plan was in place it was not known to him.

He advised the PDP to reflect on why the people of the local government rejected the party and made corrections rather than laying claim to a victory that was not theirs.

The candidate also urged the APC to see the love shown them by the people who voted them as a trust which must never be betrayed.
