PoliticsLESSON: To Love Is Nothing, To Be Loved Is Something by bilms(op): 3:18pm On Aug 23, 2012
A very poor man lived with his wife. One day, his wife, who had very long hair asked him to buy her a comb for her hair to grow well and to be well-groomed. The man felt very sorry and said no. He explained that he did not even have enough money to fix the strap of his watch he had just broken. She did not insist on her request. The man went to work and passed by a watch shop, sold his damaged watch at a low price and went to buy a comb for his wife. He came home in the evening with the comb in his hand ready to give to his wife. He was surprised when he saw his wife with a very short hair cut. She had sold her hair and was holding a new watch band. Tears flowed simultaneously from their eyes, not for the futility of their actions, but for the reciprocity of their love. LESSON: To love is nothing, to be loved is something but to love and to be loved by the one you love, that is EVERYTHING. Never take love for granted.

PoliticsFailure In WAEC 2012: I Disagree with Waec result by bilms(op):
Mass Failure in WAEC 2012: I do not believe that WAEC's judgment is true

I have been wondering why this nation has accepted in good faith, the recent results released by WAEC that witnessed massive failure of students without any further questioning. I will like to call for an investigation into the decision by WAEC that led to the failure of so many students.

It will be proper in this age of freedom of information to consider requesting for the scripts of the students to be provided to both the teachers and the students. How is it possible that students who passed their secondary school exams in SS1, SS2 and first and second term of SS3 will eventually fail the final exams, which is one out of the nine exams taken at secondary level? Is the WAEC curriculum in harmony with the schools curriculum? Were the exams questions based on the curriculum and available learning materials recommended by WAEC? Did WAEC ever consider integrating the school continuous assessment in the final results?

There is the need to investigate WAEC and its activities concerning the results of our future generation, so that their results will help us in determining where the problem lies. Exams are not tools of punishments but instruments for teaching and learning improvement and I do not see any reason why we cannot use WAEC to improve learning
PoliticsI Love Nigeria. by bilms(op): 11:41am On Aug 23, 2012
I love Nigeria.

The bus driver accuses the Policeman/LASTMA official of harassment and extortion... The passengers accuse the bus driver and conductor of charging exorbitant fares and unjust treatment... One of the passengers happens to be a PHCN staff who just received bribe from a neighbour (a banker) to help adjust his meter... That banker is upset because he just found out that the rice seller cheated her by using a 'customised' measuring bowl to sell to her... The rice seller needs to make extra cash anyway possible to help 'sort' the examiner at his child's school... I could go on

The FUNNY part is that all these folks gather at a newspaper stand the next morning to accuse the Govt of corruption and conclude that our politicians are our problem.

#Reorientation on my mind.

PoliticsThe Truth About Nigeria by bilms(op): 11:25am On Aug 23, 2012
THE TRUTH ABOUT NIGERIA
We must all realize that building a great nation is not about having resources or man power; as most people feel, it is about having truth, because only truth builds a nation. The Truth is the only thing that makes you great, greatness built on lies and deceit ends up sorrowful. A nation built on Oil shall dry, that which is built on man power shall be powerless, if built on a good land shall fade away, Only nation that is built on truth shall survive. We must therefore converge to discus about being truthful with each other, taking responsibility and clearing our mind of suspicion. Though, The Nigerian leaders have effected every citizen of this country with the negative attitude and way of reasoning, where by making crime, immorality, violence and cheat a part and parcel of our daily lives, but you can correct it yourself now before the youth finally arrive on path that will leave miserable forever. Don't underestimate us, we shall get there and take this nation to the promise land.

I came across a post on Facebook which says,ACN WOULD BE WORSE THAN PDP if allowed to Rule Nigeria, and it was a contention of issue.

So i feel it is worth to be discussed here om nl..below are some response from the facebook post..

Nigerian Nationalities
ACN WOULD BE WORSE THAN PDP if allowed to Rule Nigeria.

Prince Ewere Eghobor ur reasons?
Abdulazeez Heady Arisekola Edward Even people no go see money to spend like pdp
Sola Solomon Enitan ACN does not have people oriented programs that put wealth in the hands of the grassroots, its a money guzzling financially dehumanising party.
Ojo Ayotunde Justice So which party should rule o?
Prince Ewere Eghobor thanks Ojo Ayotunde Justice help me ask them cos PDP av failed Nigerians in Every way.So what party is d way forward?
Iyaniwura Ifedayo Fred The both party have there weaknesses, but nevertheless one is better one. With the ideology of ACTION CONGRESS of NIGERIA, they don't worth to rule at the central.
Omotayo Gabriel Ogunkuade
It is a 50-50 chance game. All politicians have common goals, except the ones who allow God's hands to touch them. In this case, you can think of Amaechi of Rivers & Fashola of Lagos. It's neither PDP nor ACN but individual's determination
and fear of God that is pushing them towards serving the people as expected. When you talk of rigging in election, no political party is absolved. Any average political party rigs where it has upper hands and shout wolves where it's games are uncovered.
Iyaniwura Ifedayo Fred Zadok... Which party is a failure? And which party is a success? Have you tried ACN at the central and they didn't fail? As far as am concern, the quality deposited in individual matters, not a party manifestos. Huh? So check yourself well, and stay out of your emotion when you are throwing your perspective about national affairs !
Biodun Mike Adeyanju
PDP has been tested at the centre for 13years & it has been monumental disaster. To say a party that has not been tried will be worse than PDP is hypocritical, speculative, uninformed and those peddling it lack objectivity. But from success
es recorded at state & council levels, one can say which party should leave the centre for other parties. PDP has no achievement anywhere. I can give examples. It us a fraudulent & ungodly party with selfish desires.
Duke-Bright C. Enyia The devil you know is better than the angel that you do not know.
Andrew Alagoa duke-bright c.enyia that literal sentence violates heaven order pls.angels and demons, angels are righteous
Duke-Bright C. Enyia
Thank you,Andrew but demons are fallen angels especially those who rebelled against God.That illustration is only figurative and has no direct alteration to ordinance of the characters represented.Emphatically,PDP is better than ACN.Who for
med the later?Same people that formed the former.Disgruntled members of PDP who were short-changed.I s strongly believe that ACN is not the messiah of a party we are expecting. It is either we all dig it out in PDP or form a formidable opposition party that can successful engage PDP in a deep fight.
Akande Akin Sanyaolu
Ur present actions go a long way showing what u wud do if given anoda chance. CAN @ d state n local level so far has nt shown they can do better @ d central, even pdp. D issue shud b personality thing than party. Even fashola to me,is nt mat
ure for d central judging by his approach. Any policy put forward dat cannot ameliorate d state of poverty n unemployment in a country by any leader, shows d weakness of such leaders quality.so far, amaechi too is not qualified. Let's keep praying b4 2015 4 d right person.
Oluwasegun Simeon Osho
if anyone wants to do an objective comparison in order to foresee the performance of ACN or CPC or APGA if governing Nigeria at the federal level, what one needs do is to choose the best performed governor in each of this party and evaluate
their achievements considering their available resources with challenges like that of population. Lagos still tops all other states if objectively considered. Hence, ACN stands to perform far better than PDP or any other party if given the opportunity to rule Nigeria.
Amuda Temitope Lackren Emmanuel ‎@olusegun,what are the achievement of ACN in south-west? Please mention it, let evrbdy hear it.
All dese parties are on dsame feather.if ACN has d opportunity to rule dis country...haaa d country must worse dan wat don't expected.Ekiti,Osun,Oyo and Ogun are cries now.

And his media hyping was not the case until recently toward the electioneering period when acn was painting his white black with the same media to rubish his superior performance. It was then that he roll out with style and achievements not propaganda like that of acn

i have been out of nl since close to 40hours ago after creating this topic, just to come back to meet several derogatory comments about the best governor in nigeria who is silently working to make people smile and live a good life,i mean mimiko in favor of brf by the acn bokoharam on nl. B4 i went offline,I waited 4 meaniful questions but didnt get any. Let me make some points clear here,98% of the acn/fashola boko haram bombading this thread with insult and abuses are ignorant about the wonders of mimiko, includind those lying about ondo being their state of origin to justify their lies. All these people have nt been to ondo, some are passerby who expect flashy govt performance in the capital b4 they see a working govt, but what they fail to realize is the fact that ondo is nt a flashy state and its development is nt concentrated in akure(the capital),mimiko is touching every single local govt, but their programmed brain to hate everything outside acn easily tagged another governor besides their programmer's as weak and nt performing. The fact that mimiko is not into media hype speaks volunme of him,he his not into media propaganda like your adored acn whick seek false praise. To those who askd genuine questions, pls give me some few time to type up.

soluwafemi71: Why will a reasonable Nigeria wake up from the wrong side of his Bed and say things like this. if given the chance, he will simply enrich his pocket and those of people like him. give praise to whom deserve praises and stop saying nonsense.
That is because all what Fashola is doing in Lagos when compared to his counterpart in Ondo state is doing with less resorces, is far better and greater...
