@Oba234, i am willing to get a sincere answer, but the truth is, some Nigerians will always condemn anything from Nigeria. No matter how good it is, they will always say the negative.

What i expect from any critics is a simple and sincere analysis and comparison.

This topic is clear on it content.

It simple said, Nigerian music are better than American music in term of lyrics, rap and style.

Some people don't seems to understand the difference between American artist who gat world fame are due to hype not just the content. They forgot that American is controlling world media so their artist could get anywhere with their media.

If you think they are btter than our artists, i challenge you to present an American artist, and i will provide a Nigerian artist so we can compare their tracks,

present an American artist to compare one after the other

Music/RadioNigerian Music Is Better Than America's by bilms(op): 11:28pm On Dec 25, 2011
Hello guys, i have been wondering why no has talked about this,or am i the only who think american artists are not any better than our nigerian artists? Let's face it, i have been listening to american music for some time before finally fallen inlove with the nigerian musics, but ever since our local artists stole my heart,i have no regrete what so ever. Comparing the nigerian artist to their americans counter part,i do not see the americans in anyway better than our artists. Be it in the rap game or singing,in the content of lyrics or anything, nigerian artists are better in my opinion. Some times when they play the american music and i compare it with ours,i found nigerian songs better in most cases now. How come some of us are always negative and feeling infirior when we are actually superior?
PoliticsUk No Longer Blacklists Medical Graduates From 9 Nigerian Universities by bilms(op): 9:59am On Dec 24, 2011
http://elombah.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9207:uk-no-longer-blacklists-medical-graduates-from-9-nigerian-universities&catid=31:general&Itemid=69

The Nigeria media was abuzz this week with reports that Medical graduates from nine universities in Nigeria will no longer be able to obtain licenses to practice in the United Kingdom, following a decision by the UK's General Medical Council (GMC) to ban the higher institutions. Elombah.com was however told that is no longer the case as the problem that gave rise to the bad headlines have since been resolved.

The GMC, a body of independent regulators which registers medical doctors to practise in the UK, reportedly took the decision to bar graduates from the nine universities from writing PLAB. GMC says the schools no longer meet accepted standards of practice in the UK.

Information available to elombah.com indicates the schools had a problem with accreditation from the Medical and Dental council of Nigeria, MDCN, because of the population of the students vis-a-vis lecturer ratio.
This happened late last year. As an obligation, the MDCN informed the WHO who de-listed the affected schools.

This problem has been solved and the MDCN website has now been updated. See the MDCN website: http://www.mdcnigeria.org/

PLAB is the UK exam that enables non-UK Medical graduates to undertake post-graduate medical training in the country.

The affected graduates were those who graduated after December 10, 2010 from Ambrose Ali University, Ebonyi State University, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, University of Jos, University of Nigeria and the University of Port Harcourt.

It also applies to those who graduated on or after April 1, 2010 from Igbinedion University College of Health Sciences and the University of Benin.

According to Jason Day of the GMC's press office, the schools were axed because they no longer meet the required standards for practise in the UK.

He added that the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) had also advised that they suspend accreditation of some medical schools in the country.

“The decision only applies to students who graduated from those medical schools after the MDCN suspended their accreditation,” Day said.

The present reality is that this problem has been solved and the MDCN website has now been updated. Consequently below is a list of currently updated accredited medical schools as obtained from the MDCN website:

The WHO website though (http://avicenna.ku.dk/database/medicine/) has not been updated as bad news often makes the headlines quickly but they are very difficult to retract.

PoliticsAn Example Of The Conduct Of Non-violent Revolution by bilms(op): 3:53pm On Dec 18, 2011
AN EXAMPLE OF THE CONDUCT OF NON-VIOLENT REVOLUTION: THE BARDOLI SATYAGRAHA

"Patel first wrote to the Governor of Bombay, asking him to reduce the taxes for the year in face of the calamities. But the Governor ignored the letter, and reciprocated by announcing the date of collection.

Patel then instructed all the farmers of Bardoli taluka to refuse payment of their taxes. Aided by Parikh, Vyas and Pandya, he divided Bardoli into several zones – each with a leader and volunteers specifically assigned. Patel also placed some Gujarati activists close to the government, to act as informers on the movements of government officials.

Above all, Patel instructed the farmers to remain completely non-violent, and not respond physically to any incitements or aggressive actions from officials. He reassured them that the struggle would not end until not only the cancellation of all taxes for the year, but also when all the seized property and lands were returned to their rightful owners.

The farmers received complete support from their compatriots in Gujarat. Many hid their most precious belongings with relatives in other parts, and the protestors received financial support and essential supplies from supporters in other parts. But Patel refused permission to enthusiastic supporters in Gujarat and other parts of India from going on sympathetic protest.

The Government declared that it would crush the revolt. Along with tax inspectors, bands of Pathans were gathered from northwest India to forcibly seize the property of the villagers and terrorize them. The Pathans and the men of the collectors forced themselves into the houses, took all property, including cattle.

The government began to auction the houses and the lands. But not a single man from Gujarat or anywhere else in India came forward to buy them. Patel had appointed volunteers in every village to keep watch. As soon as he sighted the officials who were coming to auction the property, the volunteer would sound his bugle. The farmers would leave the village and hide in the jungles. The officials would find the entire village empty. They could never find out who owned a particular house.

However, some rich people from Bombay came to buy some lands. There was also one village recorded that paid the tax. A complete social boycott was organized against them, wherein relatives broke their ties to families in the village.

Members of the legislative councils of Bombay and across India were angered by the terrible treatment of the protesting farmers. Indian members resigned their offices, and expressed open support of the farmers. The Government was heavily criticized, even by many in the Raj's offices." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bardoli_Satyagraha

STOP!!! Guy, Why are you running away from her now? Dont you remember those days you used to run after her to win her hear by all means? She is the one running after you now!!! What a pity!!

Many ladies who give in to premarital sex usually are the ones running after the man and begging him to marry her!

Many a girl can never understand why a fellow dropped her after she gave in to him and did what he had been begging her to do.

The reason is simple: For many guys, the thrill is in the chase. After the conquest has been made, he loses interest and moves on to the next girl. The poor girl is left to try to pick up the pieces of her life the best way she can.

It is so common for young men to deny the pregnancy of their girlfriends. However, no matter the length of time, no sinner will go unpunished. There is always payback time! Why do you do it when you know you are not ready to take responsibilty?

Marriage is an honorable way for anyone to enjoy sex says our religion.

If you must do it, go and marry so that you will not be running away like the guy in the picture!!!

Hello people,

I am really concerned about the way artist are being nominated for this so called Grammy award and the criteria. In my opinion, in what ever way and criteria, Tuface Idibia should fit in as the best African artist.

When it comes to African Music, Tuface is no one in term of success, being accepted,in content and achievements.

Why would he not be nominated for such award if its credible?

We Nigerian are very funny really. Th Nigerian Embassy was invaded by SA police on the account that some people were denied visa and blamed it on not giving bribe. Be it true or not, they don't have any right to invade the Nigerian embassy no matter what, the best they can do is write them. But am surprised that some Nigerians are in support of this action.

How many times were Nigerians denied visa to so many countries in Nigeria on the account of not giving bribe, yet no one i complaining.

If the government is not working, none than the masses feels the pain. If government policies are failing, the masses are to receive the cane, because governments failure is the citizens hardship. When government lacks good and realistic ideas, the citizens will lack good life, when they lack focus, citizens go backward, when they make wrong choices, citizens live wrongly, when they are on the path of ruin, the citizens on the path of destruction, when they are bad, citizens will be worse, when they are corrupt, the citizens will be corsair. This is why we must be concerned with the ruling government and give them all the support we can. Let's assist them to make life easy for all. Awolowo, Obasanjo, Akintolo, Tinubu and others have lead and been followed by the yoruba's. The so called leaders and their generation have been enjoying and will keep enjoying, while the followers suffered, still suffering and may continue to suffer if we fail to reason. The leaders made way for their generation yet unborn and we live in hardship and abject poverty under their leadership while th, ey live in luxury. The hausa's have followed Ahmadu Bello, Aminu Kano, Sardauna, Yar'adua, ibb, buhari and others, despite ruling the country for many years, they have nothing to show in the north as benefit to the people who followed them, yet they made ways for themselves and generation unborn. The same goes for the ibo's,they followed Azikwe,Ojukwu and others, while the followers remain poor, the leaders continue to be rich with their families taking all important appointments. Yet we endlessly defend their live style and policies,we fight and even kill ourselves for all these people. How long shall we serve them and their generations? When would we see their evil and fight it. Are we all fools? Think. AOH

@jarus, I have requested you to clarify your comment about me earlier and i will not relent until you explain what i did which in your opinion made me a political jobber or someone looking for cheap popularity. Or you apologize for such a vulgar comment.

That remark is the worst insult i have ever received from anyone in my whole life and if that is coming from you, it demand an explanation.

I have never insulted anyone on this forum, not you, not anyone, so if because i had an opinion and expressed it made you uncomfortable, why not just walk away, instead you made such an insulting and embarrassing comment about someone,

On the Buhari case, I have said it before and i am still saying it again for all to hear.

I am a supporter not a follower, A follower may decide to follow him to the canal, but i support objectively.

If he can't support another candidate, am off.

Jarus:
Knowing the poster of this topic as one unprincipled political jobber looking for cheap popularity, I take his posts, here and on FB, with a pinch of salt. Having ignored his past attempts to drag me into one Kwara Political Group as well as his activities on Facebook, I don't take him seriously. Political neophytes and emergency activists clutch at all available straw to get attention.

Now, I am an unapologetic Buhari supporter and I spent my energy and resources working for him in the last elections. But, will I advise him to contest in 2015? I don't think so. Will I vote for him if he decides to contest? Definitely yes.
I am so surprised at this comment, especially by someone like the so called Jarus, You called me unprincipled jobber looking for cheap popularity, So i ask, What popularity are you talking about? How has speaking the truth mean to be unprincipled or being a jobber? And in what way did i seek popularity because i speak my mind on the subject?

i  request of you to apologize for such an abusive words on my personality.

Secondly, It is true that i invited you to a group during the election in kwara, but what group is it? why didn't you name the group and what its focus is about? you choosed to portray it as if it is hidden or bad all because you want to defend BUhari,

I invited you to Join  a you group named Team for Progress (Kwara 2011)

It is all about liberation and educating the people to understand and know their candidates better before choosing which to follow.

A brief about the group is bellow and you can read it from the link above

We are youths who are dedicated to liberate kwara state from dictatorship and backwardness with seriousness and sincerity. We came out after seeing how hard many people have fought to liberate kwara state and there fulminate actions in many occasions, and how they linger over it. But all with no avail. Out of our optimism in their resplendent resurgent, we have decided to stop the talking, but do the acting by finding away to show

the people of kwara state and Nigerians entirely that we are being enslaved and the only way out is to collectively do the fighting.

Many of the people with resources doing the fighting on the peoples behave do not have the same ideology and it is causing a lot of misunderstanding which as been making it very difficult to get the people out of the slump.

For this reason, we initiated this idea to finally end the 30 years of darkness in kwara state politics.
