Team Feb...I lost my 16weeks pregnancy yesterday due to placenta previa...wish all mother's safe delivery.

Yes experinced this with this pregnancy had bleeding/spotting from the first day of postive pregnancy test to around 14 weeks, my doctor couldn’t tell where it’s coming from either but am 35 weeks now and baby is healthy. Since baby is okay you just have to observe the bed rest (though I didn’t) by God’s Grace everything will be fine

I experienced this when I was 12 weeks and 14 weeks because it was lowlying placenta. Each last 4 days before it stopped.

I observe bed rest at home during 12 weeks but the 14 weeks was one week hospital bed rest and 1 month plus bed rest at home.

What I was advice to do is
avoid lifting any heavy thing even bucket of water
avoid walking long distance
avoid house chores (very important)
avoid bending down for long
avoid sex or anything that will strain the muscles in the abdomen/ pelvic/ jajaina

Do not get worried over it. I was told as baby grow, the placenta will move up which will stop the bleeding. Currently no more bleeding.
Waiting to take another scan to know placenta current position.

So just stick with doctor's advice. If possible get someone to assist with house chores if husband is too busy.

This happened to me during my first child. Pls and pls take to your doctor’s advice. Rest is the best bet to slow it down. Also the doctor would know if they need to administer drugs. Thank God it’s off and on and not profuse bleeding. In my own case I was gushing out blood like water so I was placed on permanent bed rest with drugs. I couldn’t go to work for 3 months. But all went well In the end. So just work with your doctor. If you are home resting pls minimize all you do. In fact if it’s possible stay away from house chores and other strenuous activities. Like one mama mentioned, pls NO SEX! don’t try it at all. Since it’s placenta previa, you must avoid sex until your doctor gives you an all clear..

All is well.. You are both fine. Rest assured your baby is fine. It’s not big deal if you take to instructions from your doctor. Before you know it you will get to term and bring forth your LO. The Lord that helped me will help you too in Jesus name... Hope this helps abit.

pls mamas, has anyone experienced this before?...this is my second pregnancy,I started bleeding from 11th week..my doctor placed me on 6 doses of progesterone injection with other drugs and also placed on bed rest....after the treatment,scan was done and baby is ok...
Now am 14weeks 6days and bleeding still continued like 2days off 1 day on... doctor said I should just be on bed rest and that I have been doing but it has not stopped.
I have gone for scan on my own and baby is ok but I have a posterior lowlying placenta ...the Sonographer said that is the cause of bleeding but my mind still not at rest..

Good morning mamas...pls I want to know if anyone knows whether Ifako Ijaye hospital is attending to pregnant women for antenatal or they are still on strike.

I have experienced it before...but the dentist only helped me to cut the gum covering the tooth, this should be less painful than removing the tooth.
