I keep asking myself same question? Is it only a matter of vibrancy? Knowledge of IT? I think it also boils down to the seriousness we the youth are, also our view and reactions and solutions toward issues. Let me narrow this down to political issues. With the comments from youth towards the recent happenings in Nigeria politics one begin to wonder when will Nigeria youths begin to reason things straight. The way some youth reacted to the exclusion of youth from this administration not minding the fact it was the same youth that brought the govt to power. We find nothing wrong in seeing recycled old faces in the past govt and same old recycled old face which we shouted they spoilt the country were brought to the senate and we the youth said that is change. Change I believe is when things are done in a different or new way. Nigeria youth are so bias and partisan to the extent that we re blind to the fact and that cannot bring us out to rule. Our politicians have been able to brainwashed most of us and until we change our orientation we will always be excluded from every government. Compare the judgement of Lagos state and river state. Appeal court which is a higher court ruled in Lagos and we were OK with it. Now that a smaller court ruled otherwise we failed to criticize because we want PDP out of that state by all means. Let us not also forget yobe state were a huge sum was trace to the REC's account and the tribunal looked the other way. We the youth should always criticize if we want the elders to take us serious in this country. Let's call a spade a spade and not an object of digging. |

The woman is more involve in d upbringing of d child dan d man yet d man claims d child. Even till d child grow old d mother can still figure out wen things re not well, she notice dat strange mark on ur back or ur head but d man can neva notice all these yet he claim d child....... my opinion is d woman should own d child cuz she is more is involved dan d man. if u want to argue pls consider dat moment of labour........ |

I read with utmost disappointment how we Nigerians fight ourselves on social media. How a particular region believe dey re better off to another region. God has so bless this nation to d extent dat we need each other. Let's analysis this...... Hausa: They re d great farmers in dis country. They cultivate virtually all we need in dis country. Even life stocks. Other region don't need to pay for import duties to get there farm produce. Igbo: Whether you like it or yes dey re the producers and marketers in dis country. Any locally made products ranging from machine to automobile re the handiwork of d Easterners. Also like d popular saying wen u get to a place and u don't find an ibo man there pls live dat place cuz its not habitable. Now to the issue of Lagos, whether d yorubas like it or yes d ibos ve contributed to the development of Lagos state. The so-called Lagos market is being championed by the ibos. Akwacross/Edodelta: U will not argue with me that the country called Nigeria has been surviving on these people for years. The economy of this country lie on these people and it will continue to lie on them. Yorubas: The only reason why you wouldn't want to coexist with these people is when you don't want the ancestors to answer your prayers. They are the only one in this country dat can provide the teeth of a piton or nail of a lion when requested by the ancestors. We all need each other in this country so let us continue to live in peace and harmony. God bless my country |

Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau has again failed to appear in a new video released by the sect on Wednesday BBC reports. The video which was posted on BBC’s Twitter handle today, shows the members of the deadly group pledging allegiance to Islamic State, also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS). A man who spoke on behalf of the insurgents, however said that Boko Haram was still under the leadership of Shekau, who was last seen in February. He countered the fact that several insurgents had surrendered to the Nigerian army. The insurgent also said it was untrue that the army had released some women and children abducted by the sect. According to the stand-in Boko Haram spokesperson, Nigerian troops, having failed on the battlefield, are now waging the war through the media. www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/shekau-missing-again-as-boko-haram-releases-new-video-2/ |
