Birth story

my edd was 27th January according to LMP,but I gave birth on the 24th...i started having menstrual like cramps the week before but it wasn't regular...fast forward to 24th the menstrual cramps started coming more frequently towards afternoon of that day.I called my hubby who had gone to work in the morning as I wasn't having any contractions when he left...he started coming home but he didn't come in till like 2hrs later cos of traffic....the pains became so much...I was alone with my toddler...she was just staring at me..I wanted to dress up and go to the hospital with my toddler but the pains was now coming frequently... I was stuck. my hubby called a friend who was coming to pick me with his car...hubby finally arrived with his friend...we quickly entered and he drove to the hospital..as I had packed my bags already...I was screaming in the car banging the roof and chairs...I started loosing my mucus plug at home....we finally got to the hospital as I was getting down from the car,my water broke.I was dripping water and going inside the labour room....the nurses quickly got my card....brought out my things...the nurse did VE and said I was fully dilated and the baby head was down.the other nurses were rushing to set up other things..she asked me to push at the next contraction....wen it came I did ....the pains was out of this world...I was screaming the whole hospital down....at the third push my princess came out with small tear.I was immediately relieved.The placenta came out..the matron put her hand inside me and still brought out piece of placenta and blood.The doctor stitched me and I was taken to the ward.
my labour was about 3hrs before delivery...I wish other mama's safe delivery.

Goodday mothers. Still took my DD to the hospital. Ran a full blood count, she had malaria 2+. Was so shocked, cos she always sleeps inside her net. They gave some I.V injections, was just crying when the doc was piercing the cannula in her vein, she was just crying. Spent 10k for treatment, they said I should bring her for the next 3days to complete the treatment. Well, I thank God for everything, but I'm just so down right now, I've been crying, I'm even crying as I'm typing, the money that was used for this treatment was the money we were supposed to use to buy foodstuff at home. My husband has still not been paid his salary by the govt, infact I'm just overwhelmed with all this situation, to say that this pregnancy wasn't planned for and people keep telling me that the baby will bring open doors. I still believe that this baby is a blessing, I'm optmistic and have faith that all things will work for my good, I have faith that things will change soon, but I can't just help crying sometimes, I'm human and have feelings too. I know God will provide, he has given me HIS promise in romans 8:28 and jeremiah 29:11. I thank God for the gift of these children, I know he'll provide for me to be able to take care of them. I thought babies that are exclusively breastfed hardly fall ill? Pls what is the cheapest baby food in the market now?. I'm breastfeeding and yet most days I eat only twice a day. Sometimes I jsut need somebody to just cry to, somebody I can tell all my worries not becos I need the persons sympathy. I'm tired of bottling up my feeling everyday, I wish I can shout and tell pple what I am going through. Hubby doesn't like to see me cry or worry over our situation, whenever he sees me cry he'll say I'm reminding him of his incapabilities. I just need a shoulder to lean on.

Hmmmn, Idumota is still ur best bet ooo except na only cloth hanger remains. With 5000 to 11000 you will get cloth hanger. Me no sabi house delivery for cloths ooo.

Thanks sis, no strength to go to idumota jare, n.a. postponement carry me reach this level. It's not my fault , it's because I'm having a girl after 2generals. I wanted to do special shopping now i can't even go anywea with this big belle n Lagos heat

Pls mamas that bought cloth hanger recently how much is it now? Abeg if any1 has contact of any1 that does home delivery of babies clothes I'm interested. I don't trust this jumia n konga at all, going to idumota is out of it & my area is damn expensive can't even buy ordinary socks there.

Please is molfix diaper good? And please what can I use as cot? All dis wooden cot are too expensive, thinking of using a playpen but don't know what it will look like..

As for me o, molfix all the way. It's very good, I use it for my kids n der has been no complains. All my sis in-laws dey use am sef.

If u can just close eye & if it's ur first born pls the wooden cot is better, u can use it for all ur kids . The one I used for my first born is what I'm using till now infact my sis don register as hand me down.

pls I need help o house, has anyone in here experienced dis b4? I went for my routine Antenatal today at 34weeks +2days and I got d shock of my life. I told my gynae that my pelvic girdle pain has gotten worse and I can't even stand for 5 minutes and my appetite has gone worse too so I literarily don't eat. only for him to ask me if my bags I packed and I said no that I was even planning to go round up my shopping dis coming Saturday. d man jus asked me to lie down that he needs to do a scan, immediately after d scan he started he jus started laffing that I shld go and erase that my old EDD o because the baby's head has really dropped and is ready to engage any moment from now. so now we're looking at baby coming anytime btw 37-38weeks max. infact he's so sure that d max I have is 1st of February. now I'm kinda anxious. I've never had a surprise baby b4 and trust me wen I say dis one is full of tricks. her vitals are fine and she's measuring way ahead of her age. abeg how do I cope psychologically with dis new development? make una help me o. Nb: my first baby I was induced at 38+ because she was growing too big for a first time mum but my 2nd came at 40weeks plus. I know I shld b happy because it means I get to rest from all dis unpleasant symptoms that has tormented me since day one but I'm jus kinda freaking out because I've left alot of tins until last minute and now it looks like I don't even have time on my hands again.

Relax ur mind mama, just quickly put everything together. Anything from 37weeks baby is considered full term. Same thing happened to me with my first child, I just went for regular antenatal only for doc to refer me to delivery ward o.

Jazzyjazz, keep declaring the word of God upon him, he shall be fine. Your joy is permanent.

Wanted to ask u, how many weeks are u now, d last time I went for antenatal I was suppose to be 28 weeks doc con say I be 27wks+2dys...I confuse oo..he said bcs sum months have close to 5wks and dre are 52wks in a yr abi wetin ...sumfin like DT ...didnt understand him oo..just asking sha since we are d same edd according to LMP...

Don't mind them o, different story each day just work with ur first scan EDD/LMP. We're 28 weeks, I no dey count days sef.

Mamaa Ind house, please your experience is need. Ds has been stooling since last friday. Took him to hospital on Saturday and was placed on injections and drugs. Finished injection on Monday evening but up gill now, the diarrhoea hasn't stopped nor reduced and he is still taking ORS.

Please, what can I do?

Help a worried mama, he is loosing weight.

Just continue with the zinc n ORS, the diarrhoea will eventually stop. Ensure he's properly hydrated.

Belle don dey itch me small small around my navel but my breast is d worse..with black stretch marks and pimples all over my breast and chest...I can't just wait for march... ..

I use to experience this in my previous pregnancies bt thank God I found the secret this time around o. If u can do it, ur body go dey shine. the secret is early morning water o, just take like 2cups of water every morning immediately u wake. U will see the difference.

I have silently followed this post as a single, now married and expecting I have a question for my sabi mamas, I saw my last period on 2 Oct 2016 nd I
Met hubby on 15th Oct. Missed the next period. Now I want you to help me calculate how many weeks pregnant I am,so I can be able to know my due date. And other necessary things I should do at this stage. Note: am a FTM. Thanks
