No 1, if it's a one off thing and he is truly sorry, not enuf to end the marriage.

No 2, as long as he is doing his duties and he still loves me like normal, then that's his problem.

@ Biolabee, thanks, I'll contact lawyer in property section. I'll be there for my kid, it's better I'm alive to take care of her than for some wicked woman with her mother waste my life.

you think so? i think adam had it easier..

we both fell from grace but Baba made men lords over women cheesy tongue
this gender war we see both virtually and in the real world is a consequence of that curse,,, women have desire to their men yet want to usurp his authority over them

both sexes also now work for their daily bread

noobiesin: Thanks. Ur advice is duly noted. Any lawyer you can recommend?

No there's nobody else in the picture. Yes. It's life threatening as far as I'm concerned. My research has shown that the best I can get as the father is joint control, cos some things can't be proven in court. So I'll just keep praying for my daughter. Jazz things n all that. I really don't want to put my story out on the net. Just need to get some info I couldn't get on google.

Thanks
well in that case, get a reputable lawyer...since you say you are both consenting

since things have gone diabolical.. May God help you
if that is your decision,Just try and be responsible for that child because girl children are fragile especially if neglected by thier dads...

Contact lawyer on the property section, he may be able to recommend one or two family lawyers

You cannot make an unsuspecting woman miserable for the rest of her life just because you cannot control that mad animal in your groin.
Sebi he is the head, ehen the head has laid down the example, let others follow. Take Nigeria for example. Bad leadership, bad followers.

Woman don't fret. Even God holds him more accountable. Adam's punishment was greater than Eve, cheesy despite the fact that Eve was the cause Now imagine the man being the cause of it all, double punishment for him I presume. Tehehe!
True though God may have punished adam more because he wanted to lie on the woman

I'm waiting for one year to be complete. Are u a lawyer? Or do u know any reliable divorce lawyer who can help file the case? Thanks.
I agree with the coogar on this... what is makin you consider divorce
is your life at stake,,, do you want to keep the child,.... have all dispute resolution mechanisms failed,..... is there someone else in the picture...

only a rare man would raise another child as his, moreso if he knows
if he does not know and finds out late in life, it is a rarer man that will continue raising that child

we all agree.. society seems the same thing through different lens
one is a minor trespass and the other is a violation or taboo...

id like to know how women see it hence my questions..
FamilyRe: Is This Common Amongst Nigerian Married Women? by biolabee(m): 6:00pm On Apr 30, 2013
jidegirl12: Biola,

Once a cheater always a cheater, a stray cat that already tasted the neighbour's food will definitely try it again.
No matter how you pamper/baby/care for a useless man, he will still go back into the gutter be belongs.

It's now up to the woman to know how to fill that void and deal with it undecided

It takes great courage , respect and self discipline for a good man to dedicate his life / commitment to his family and that's why a long term courtship is very important before marriage.

I don't believe in one time cheater, and that goes to all my friends circle .

The horrendous behaviour of some men are mind boggling undecided like cc always say you can get all the goodies in a marriage as a single fella as long as you're loaded.
Another interesting comment.. so if in an alternate universe
You would walk of the union.. yes?

Also what other xteristics would you term these useless men.. stealing from their wives, drugs, alcohol etc

will men who are like three baby daddies be useless or will they be useful since they are not married to any of their baby mamas.. (akata men)
FamilyRe: Disgraced Actor Solomon Akiyesi Tells His Story •I Loved Ezinne, My First Wife, by biolabee(m): 5:57pm On Apr 30, 2013
Summary for those who cant read tongue

Wife 1
Sadly enough, Ezinne denied any wrongdoing. For three years, I exposed opportunities for Ezinne to simply tell me the truth but she never took advantage of any of the opportunities. Alas! She was not pregnant. I decided to investigate myself and took her for HSG where it was discovered that there were no fallopian tubes in her and that there was evidence of previous surgery of the uterus. I independently probed further and found out with evidence that Ezinne had a life-threatening abortion in 1992 that resulted in the rupture and subsequent removal of her womb and tubes.

Wife 2
I had no peace. My best moment was whenever I had to leave home for work. And after work I never wanted to go back home. On a trip back home sometime ago, I was praying that my aircraft should crash and I die instead of going home. Even when I was driving home, I was under strong temptation to ram into oncoming vehicles instead of going home.

Later...

Then the heat started again. I must provide N2 million for her to deliver her baby, even though she knows my income and its source. When her pressure got to a head and to avoid the same road I travelled with Ezinne, I took Lillian to a gynaecologist. A scan was run on her and the result was declared before the two of us that she was not pregnant.

Wife 3
Uloma did not just jump into the picture to “snatch” Solomon from Lillian. Uloma has been my friend since 2006. We met again in 2009 at the peak of my business crisis and have been seeing each other afterwards. Candidly, I was swept away by the love, understanding and the peaceful disposition Uloma proffered even as a friend, far from the opposites I was getting back home. The way Uloma treated me was the exact desires any man longed for in a wife. So, I was always running to her whenever Lillian lit her fires.

What could I possibly gain? Uloma wasn’t frustrated to the point of desperation to pay a man to marry her. There was no award for anyone who married her. She does not own an estate or anything willed to her by anyone that I was running after. Uloma is not the daughter of any rich man or top politician. She’s as much a hustler as I am.

But Uloma was the only person who truly listened to my heart and understood where I was coming from. So to say any of my failed marriages was for money is simply silly and unreasonable.
Conclusion

And above all, my own life is now seriously at risk because I feared hurting anyone. I ask all concerned to please sheathe their swords of anger and find it in their hearts to forgive me. I will make restitution as much as the mercy of God permits me. It’s never too late to begin again as far as God keeps us all alive.

I’m a man on a mission for a peaceful marriage, a good home and family life. I guess my desperation took good reasoning off me. Again, I am humbly and truly sorry. I thank my friends who have stood by me through this trial. Your comforting words are like lights on my dark path.

And for the judgmental few, I urge you; work with the truth while the Almighty fixes that which went wrong in my life.

slimyem: ....and also wants to keep doing his offside runs?
Is that what you are saying? true.
good response.... that means infidelity to a woman's mind translates to the fact that the man hates her
interesting...
FamilyRe: Is This Common Amongst Nigerian Married Women? by biolabee(m): 5:51pm On Apr 30, 2013
slimyem: Your opinion bro.
If i were to judge,i'd judge both equally.
Pity the woman who doesn't deserve that her husband cheats on her and sires kids outside.
Pity the man who doesn't deserve it but gets to raise a bastard anyways.
The same way its not fair to the woman is the same way its not fair to the man.Its a crazy world.
End of!
Back to topic.cool
you'd judge equally because you are a woman and to you they are all your children. fair enough
To a man they are not the same

you may be thinking of fairness and equity but they are not the same

Back to topic cool

It has been from time immemorial..

For fans of Games of Thrones, Cercei Lannister killed King Robert's Barrathian bastards as they had more royal blood than Geoffrey Barathion who is a product of incest
all are bastards but some are more equal than others
LOL
FamilyRe: Is This Common Amongst Nigerian Married Women? by biolabee(m): 5:40pm On Apr 30, 2013
slimyem: Its all infidelity.Only number 1 is forgivable if there's true remorse and a "promise" it won't happen again.
2 and 3 are in the same category and as per the question....lipsrsealed

What is "throwing your marriage away"? Opting for this woman's choice or walking away?
throwing your marriage away is what it is,.. seperation or divorce
so if your pouse committed 2 or 3, you would walk out of the union?

Second question

What if he loves his wife and remembers theyve been through a lot together and wants to stay for the friendship, kids etc

In old age. physicality is not an issue but rather companionship

slimyem: I thought this thread was about cheating in retaliation in which case both husband and wife don't mind each others excapades anymore not analysing and debating worse case scenarios infidelity can birth.

However,a man who sires a bastard outside the home and the woman who brings a bastard home to her husband are the same IMO.None is worse than the other. It makes no sense to compartmentalize.
slimyem.

my bastard is MY BASTARD.. my wifes bastard is another MAN's seed
To a woman,,, they may come from the same place but mehnnnnnn.. they are different
two different things.. dont ever compare

ileobatojo: 3, 2, 1. 3 leads 2 only by a whisker.
thanks.. 3 leads 2 interesting
But is 2 enough for a woman to end her marriage.. Ladies over to you
Cos what i am hearing is that a man in scenario 2 should divorce his wife to have his mistress
What if he loves his wife and remembers theyve been through a lot together

In old age. physicality is not an issue but rather companionship
David had Abishag to warm his bed but his soulmate was bathsheba

1 Kings 1
Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he gat no heat.

2 Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat.
