Stalemate: @op.. The truth is that some countries in Africa that attracts tourism are one way or the order a zone of doom... Lets take Nigeria as a paradigm. Imagine yourself thinking of travelling to NORTH. I think that can only be possible when you think that you're an article of no commercial value to your family nd your well wishers. Why? Its b'cos THE BOKO~BOYZ are on the alert to send your innocent soul to the great beyund. And IT WILL NEVER BE YOUR PORTION. Think of going to south~east, definately you're preparing your family 4 dinner nd a hexagona table dilague with d ruthless 'man~naperz' also, in the south west, some ugly phenonmenon lyk the gentle men on d high way who are ready to compel you to surrenda your lyf of your money. Moving outsyd 9ja, some tourist that went to explore countries lyk LYBIA,IVORY COAST,EGYPT e.t.c some years back, they were caught unaware by d unrest dat sent many soul 4 exploration in d great beyund. So, tell me, why wouldn't they prefer other continents to Africa? Remember, your topic centres on holiday. I think holiday is to be accomplined by peace and not chaos... 4 me, going to continents lyk europe, america e.t.c wil certainly top my priorty list if am to travel 4 a holiday.LOL.. like the way you put it/... |
beneli: I think Dis Guy has a point here! Another point, i guess, is that people don't actually know what we have in our back yard. We are not very good at selling our tourist attractions so it doesn't really sound cool to say you spent your holiday in Ouagadougou. Coming back from Paris sounds a lot cooler!beneli i love this can you put up a thread about this.. like a journal I spent ten days in Ghana about 4 years ago I made sure it was not just the usual though Osu, Cape Coast, Kumasi, Volta n tema(reminded me of festac) In Kumasi i went to the Ashantehene palace and lake Bosumtwi In the Volta Region, i went as far as the Wli Waterfalls from where you can see mountains and even Togo I stayed in a 10 cedi student motel and i slept clutching my laptop as i was sorta apprehensive but it was nice Ghana palmie too is nice I planned to do Abidjan but have never had the time Na shopping do me now ![]() |

dayokanu: How would you provide for your family when you dont even have a car to move around? So you have meetings at work you carpool, You leave work at 10, you delay your colleagues till 10 to pick you home?DK.. You can't change lol What if it's the woman who is the big kahuna |
Interesting .... Learnt something new.. My SE colleagues wives are enjoying lol Where is the OP to give us more information For this lady who has not worked for a long time, this is tragic and reminds me of some O & G wives in Port harcourt who are so used to not working that when tragedy strikes either by death or otherwise, they cant cope as they are used to a standard of living If the woman is abroad, she can start some online courses. I hear Supply Chain is the inthing in some western nations With this she can get a 20hour weekly job from which she moves to full time In naija.. she can get a teaching or nursing diploma and start from there Its not easy but she has to start from somewhere The kids are now big enough so she has think of herself and them considering we don’t know tomorrow The man can leave her God can take the man ish |
Ujujoan: Obviously we need more men like you . . . Tot my husband was the last of his kind!Actually there are a lot of guys who will do this as I believe it is common sense and part of providing for your family I respect ibo guys for something they make their wives so beautiful and pampered to their own detriment Some other tribes do this too Maybe some ladies have taken advantage of this unduly |
dayokanu: The man probably needs a car thats why he bought it, If the wife needs one too she can also buy. The person who bought the car thought he would need a car thats why he bought one.Dayo its not like that Yes i bought the car but if i only have one car and we work in different areas id rather give my car to my wife so she can take children to school, hospital if need be, PTA runs etc and i will car pool or bus to work At times this your dogma can be funny sha.... i get ur general gist that housewives shd take some responsibility for their lives but no 2 situations are ever the same |
Sorry is the issue now husband driving car or bike i thought it was advice to a lady who has been a chronic housewife and needs to adjust to reality |
^^ good post Moderation is key especially nowadays with bb Damn some people just enter their space and neglect the world around them |
dayokanu: But they are cut out for collecting money and even borrowing from you a fellow woman?GBAM!! It's called eating and having your cake |
All the more reason why a courtship is important A woman should marry if it's the right time for her not to please her parents or contemporaries, as an escape from poverty or bla bla bla CAN TWO WALK TOGETHER EXCEPT THEY AGREE Ten years after kasala don buss |
Eh yah.. Pele She really must have pushed the final button lol From time I've always learned to fear quiet people Once they go off na wire ![]() But it's good it ended well ![]() OP... Where are you Can you give us more info on your situation |
Sign Yellow Ruled the Day! God is a game!!!! |
Woo... @taryour that was some ish Lucky the violence did not have more consequences I will only advocate physical violence as a last resort for which I guess you were in..that lady was really something else OP, please avoid violence to the best of your ability It can only lead to more escalation |
The companion of an angry person will be angry also Don't let it get to you Be positive yet be assertive on your principles where your values are trampled upon Remember though humans are different and this person may really be frustrated You can be more specific though so we can give more relevant advice |
ibizgirl: Abeg how many such people do you know? Are you married? This guy's lack of trust in his newly married wife is what gets me.Woman it is you who should open your mind I accepted that he may have something to hide but you don't want to accept the potential distracting effects of social media on a relationship Do you want me to bring examples of people who have hooked up with their exes or had flings via social media What does being married or not have to do with my comment |
coded guy: You are here assuring the Arses of beating chelsea when we all know Fergie will decide to brain fart and play scholes and Giggs in a 2man midfield against chelsea.Really a shame |
Baba Oyo: @Ileobatojo. ...you did well with your written Yoruba really. ...only that in writing Yoruba, there is no such thing as "sh" its always "s" and so that's why you can't write "she" instead of "se" .Baba O ekaro.. Awon tile nko Ose a da o.. |
jhydebaba: @biolabee, I do my thing my way, I don't care. U get mouth shaNice one jando.... I'm enjoying your story telling |
I like the angle of someone who may not be pure and is covering his tracks but it could also be because some people get addicted to social media to the dtriment of the REAL PEOPLE around them They neglect their spouse and you see them on social network all the time Funny they never see that they have a problem This also goes to BB, Nairaland also That may be his concern |
I wish everyone the best Please moderate your expectations There are still womderful plans for each and everyone of us |
Not comfortable with Spiderman Webb Dort$und should have enough to see this game through Not sure some key players will not see yellow and miss final |
Gareth Bale has been named PFA player of the year AND young player of the year in a glitzy ceremony in London. The 23-year-old Welshman joins Cristiano Ronaldo (2007) and Andy Gray (1977) in winning the both awards in the same year. The Spurs forward beat the likes of Manchester United striker Robin van Persie, who currently leads the race for the Golden Boot, and controversial Luis Suarez, who is serving a 10-game ban for biting Branislav Ivanovic last week, to the top award.
