This is an emergency case, which you should report to the bank. Never treat this type of issue with a single individual. Call and email the relevant units. Contact your bank, not your account officer. If you are a GTBank customer, say, use https://www.gtbank.com/help-centre/complaints-enquiries#nav-emergency-services Report it under suspected fraud or unauthorised transaction, see attached image. You wouldn't want to start filling out forms and waiting for the bank to "investigate and resolve the problem as soon as possible". E no dey hard for a story that touch to start... I pray that all would be sorted out and that you get your visa on time. To answer your question: start counting. You eliminate the need for explanation and any possible interest that the first explanation could generate. Gist time: An account officer to major clients with one of the top banks was living large and travelling all over the place. He used to book tickets to watch EPL matches. When one of the clients pointed out some discrepancies in their account, the bank called him and asked him on the phone: what's up with XYZ accounts? That was the last time conversation. He disappeared! Last time I heard the bank is still looking for him. Some abroad flex and local chilling na other people money dem dey take dey arrange am! saddek04: 3 Likes

Hi If there's a document supporting that difference, it would be a good idea to upload it. For example, an affidavit. Your aim is to improve your probability of success as high as you can. Don't provide any person with an excuse to even send you an NFS. That's my take. Best of luck with the application Opeyemikas: |

Sorry, neither a question nor an answer, just a mini-rant. TL;DR: Don't give people a chance to scam you, all the resources you need are freely available and help the community to reduce exploitation. As you navigate through the application and travel processes, always minimise the chances of becoming a victim of a scam. The resources that would take you from beginner to expert in terms of university, visa, and travelling are freely available on Nairaland. If you follow this thread or the previous one(s), you can start your journey right from getting an admission, applying for a visa, up to travelling to the UK. Page 1 https://www.nairaland.com/7267459/uk-student-visa-tier-4#115439644 is a crash course that would quickly get you up and running. You can ask and people are usually available to answer. The goal of volunteers here is to see you succeed but for an agent (I mean a real one), you are just a business. A source of income. That's why some agents don't have issues falsifying documents. The fact that you could be banned is not part of their problem. Some "agents" are pure and 100% scammers. They set a trap by telling you a nice story of how someone "helped" them or how they "helped" others. If you fall into that trap you are, well, trapped! Just because someone condemns an act doesn't mean s/he is a good person. Some scammers start their act using "I can't believe people are...", "People are wicked, why would...", "We should be helping ourselves, look at what citizens of other countries are doing...", "I promised myself if I am blessed, I will help others....", "I have this *too good to be true* and I want to help...". Look before you leap. Shine your eyes! Don't ask for your universities' account here. Almost all universities have pages telling you how to make payments. Sometimes, you should get a contact of a specific unit as opposed to the admissions office. You can use people to make payments but make sure you really know who you are using. There are straightforward and truthful individuals here but you are responsible for your actions. Beware of links! If possible, access services through the official website. As much as possible, avoid the temptation to go via the PM route. If a "helper" makes a demand for money privately, mention that request here publicly. The demand could be in various forms. "You go pay $$", "I just say make I do this for you but another person says im go give me $$". "You go appreciate me ooo!". Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with gift giving but I don't like the deliberate manipulation. The amount you would play might not be something to you, but huge for others and the community isn't built around "agents". May God bless and reward all those that genuinely help others. May we continue to be positive and avoid being negative in our words and actions. All the best to the successful ones, those still waiting, and those in the planning stage. Thank you for reading my apologies for the length! Cheers 20 Likes |

Check with your university if you can enrol online (I believe you can). There are welcome events during the enrolment week but they don't make it mandatory for students to attend but you should attend if you are able to travel. krystynaachie: 1 Like |

Please don't alter the date. When applying, you only need to show that the relationship is real (married or partner). Get ready with your chat history, pictures (before and during all the major events), and any other evidence you have. Opeyemikas: 1 Like |

You could ask your referees to send the same reference as a pdf to the admission team, on official letterhead, using their official email briefly stating that they used a personal email account to send your reference. Your details should be included in the email as well. bastardson: |

Options: 1. secure an admission now. 2. wait for the award then start applying for admission. They are both valid. It isn't a right or wrong; true or false situation. Personally, I prefer option 1 and I strongly recommend it. The point is, you're waiting. So why can't you use the opportunity and apply for admission(s)? If you get the award, you would just submit your offer of admission. Parallel processing. My people, as rice dey inside pot on top fire, you no fit cut onions? If you delay, you might have to "settle" for any University that is willing to admit you at that point. 2 Likes |

bataderemi: Hi, unless you have a strong reason for not applying for admission, I would recommend you get your admission then wait for the outcome. You would be obtaining your admission yourself eventually (based on the previous occurrence), so why delay? Cheers 1 Like |

meemeeberry: Obtaining admission is a good idea. So that when PTDF is ready for you, you're ready for them. Remember for MSc universities usually have dateline. For PhD, you might have to seek for a supervisor (you would want to do that while they still have vacancy), prepare your proposal, and interview with the university. C grade in your WAEC and/or study where English is the medium of instruction usually is enough for the English requirement. Cheers |

omohlolly: Please, don't listen to your friend. I am not saying it doesn't happen, but I know someone who got the scholarship last year without knowing anyone at the top. Mind you, scaling your agency's nomination is a step forward, but you would still compete against other applicants across the globe, which is done by the CSC. Just try your luck. Best wishes. |

Some peoples' mental picture of a dpr applicant is that of Image A and, they think, they must help the applicant get back on her/his feet by acting as in Image B. Relax people. We have some understanding of probability. P(Job) P(Job/Factors)(Factors: applying, approval, writing test, naija factor...) Oh! Don't forget that there is God. The only difference after the employment process will be: some will be working with dpr and others will not. But things like sunrise, sunset, rainfall, being alive, rotation of the earth... will not be affected. DivineKayy: I don't know how replacement became a standard practice, and usually considered as being different from employment, in this country. In a discussion, you can hear people talking about "organisation x is not employing but just doing some replacement". Pray, since we don't have a new agency, ministry, department, or company that springs up every other second to "employ new staff", is it not those positions that the unemployed or those seeking to change job would apply to? If a government is employing, let everyone try his/her luck. If you strongly feel your children shouldn't be competing with "common people", establish a company and give them all the available positions! May God help us and guide us to be objective and just in our thoughts, words, and deeds. 5 Likes |

The approved and the rejected; the aced and the flunked; the grounded and the floated, the recommended and the disregarded. I'm sure the introducer and the introducee, through the backdoar and through the backdowee, through the windowa and through the windowee, are also not left out of the waiting game. Err... I am sorry for posting this here. Please does anyone has any info on northbridge energy limited (particularly recruitment/interview)? Please share if you do. There is a thread regarding that, but it isn't very active (a handful of posts asking questions and none answered). See a post about positions at NORTHBRIDGE ENERGY (I am not claiming they did this but...) https://www.nairaland.com/2204022/push-cv-elite-employee-quest/37#33654128 Thank you. You are to come along with valid identification e.g International Passport, Voters ID-card, National ID-card or Drivers License. The list isn't exhaustive. They should accept other IDs as long as it doesn't fall within: (Note:Ordinary photographs or photographs stamped before being attached to an identification documents are not acceptable). Please don't hit below the belt! People will always disagree on almost anything. There is disagreement even in something they think they are in agreement! Remember we have different schools of thought, opinions, ideology, religion, etc. Each of these groups contains subgroups recursively. Let's argue objectively. We should rely on our communication skills in passing our point across and convincing the next fellow to see things from our own perspective. We should strive to avoid driving pleasure from putting other people down. Possessing what others don't have should be source of humility not pride. If person A says x = y and person B says x = z, each one should build his/her argument and present it to the other person. Then the following would happen: 1. They realise that they are using different statements to explain the same thing. No need to argue. 2. A accepts B's argument. 3. B accepts A's argument. 4. They compromise and identify acceptable common ground. 5. They agree to disagree. No need to play dirty. So, before you start firing your machine gun from your keyboard, please take a moment and cool off. Play some games, do some screen shopping, delete old emails from your inbox, etc. If it fails to lower the temperature, try breaking stuff. You know, Japanese style https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDREuBAnf7M Best regards 4 Likes
