Seconded. Don't underestimate SDP. Make e no go do you like film trick. Amosun's APC is facing many challenges. More than half of Ogun APC officeholders and supporters have defected to SDP with their godfather Osoba. The slogans in Ogun state today are AMG (Amosun Must Go) and AIG (Amosun Is Gone). Civil servants despise him. Students want him out at all costs. Market women are complaining because he has demolished markets and is yet to build new ones though he has built massive roads in half the state. And people in his government complain he is a dictator in a democrat's skin. PDP on the other hand has been completely hijacked by Kashamu the druglord who singlehandedly handpicked all candidates for 2015 leaving Daniel, Kuye, Bankole and 9 out of 12 guber candidates out in the cold.

SDP, on the other hand, is quietly receiving defectors day by day and is free of the baggage of the status quo - a fresh new beginning. With Osoba as the leader, Bankole as guber candidate and Amosun's defected deputy as Bankole's running mate, it keeps getting better by the day.

Those of you who call Bankole a thief, please point to one property or evidence anywhere otherwise you are just lazy illiterate empty barrels. And when Bankole becomes Governor of Ogun state, it's the same cheapstakes like you that would be singing his praises.

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may have finally picked the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole as the consensus governorship candidate of the party in Ogun State.

Our correspondent gathered that Bankole was selected as the PDP flag bearer for the state after several hours of deliberations between the PDP national leadership and the party’s stakeholders in the state.

The development has however, sparked a fresh row as the Chairman of the Organisation and Mobilisation Committee of the PDP in the South West, Prince Buruji Kashamu and the Ogun State chapter of the party said no such agreement had been reached.

It was however, learnt that the meeting where Bankole was picked as the party’s consensus flag bearer in the 2015 election held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday night and was chaired by the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu as well as other national leaders of the party.

The meeting, the source disclosed also had in attendance Bankole, former governor of Ogun, Otunba Gbenga Daniel; ex-minister of state for finance, Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye while Prince Kashamu did not attend.

Other agreements reached at the meeting included the sharing of the other elective positions in the state between Bankole, Daniel and Kashamu.

The meeting was also said to have agreed that while the Ogun Central senatorial slot be reserved for the wife of foremost Ijaw leader, Dr. Bisola Sodipo-Clark, the Ogun East Senatorial ticket should be handed over to ex-governor Daniel.

Kashamu however, is to determine who gets the Ogun West Senatorial ticket.

Also, the nine House of Representatives slots are to be shared equally amongst the three party big wigs in Ogun.

Each of them is to take three House of Representatives slots.

Similarly, 15 out of 26 State House of Assembly seats have been reserved for Bankole while Daniel and Kashamu will control the remaining 11 seats. But while Daniel would take six of the seats, Kashamu is to control the remaining five.

The Secretary of the PDP in the state, Alhaji Semiu Sodipo however, said there was nowhere such a meeting was held and such agreements reached.

According to Sodipo: “No element of truth in it. It is not visible, it is not possible. It’s total lies, it’s malicious.”

Also, Kashamu who spoke through his media assistant, Austin Oniyokor denied being aware of the meeting and the agreement reached.

Oniyokor said, “He was not part of the meeting and was not a party to the meeting if it ever held. He believes strongly that the information is not correct. It is part of the kite being flown by Bankole and his people in their desperate efforts to circumvent due process. Everybody knows that in a democracy you can only talk about consensus when all aspirants agree to such arrangement. Where you have a dissenting voice, even by one aspirant, then it cannot work.

“To the best of my knowledge, all the aspirants for the governorship seat in Ogun State are still very much in the race. I do not know where this idea of consensus is coming from.”

I have seen the movie. Ordinarily I shy away from Nigerian movies at the cinemas because my first two attempts were terrible. I had expected that Silverbird would show only the highest quality movies at the cinema but I was wrong. By the way, the first two movies I tried were Inale and Maami. Inale failed for me because the acting, the story and directing were below expectation. Maami was unacceptale because the picture quality was below par for cinema and the ending seemed rushed due to director fatigue.

October 1 on the other hand delivered. Though, it was predictable, it was still enjoyable to watch and I would gladly award a pass mark. Other movies that I have been impressed with in the past (though I did not see them at the cinema) include Six Hours to Christmas and The Meeting. I was not impressed with Mr and Mrs and worse still Two Brides and A Baby.

I would like to ask the op to mention other Nigerian Movies he would rate higher than October 1 besides Half of A Yellow Sun. Otherwise, either he's expecting Kunle to be at par with Hollywood or he thinks as a critic, one must critique critically.

Incomplete information is not acceptable or actionable. You need to find out whether he is in detention or if he has started serving his sentence. If he is convicted, we need to know the exact crime he was convicted for and the duration of the sentence. I believe we all went to school so we can process information thoroughly and take informed decisions.

If convicted and the duration of sentence is short, say 6 months, I'd advise he serve it through and learn his lesson. If longer, then other options may be considered.

bucho8888: i work with min of interior which is in charge of immigration n as soon as i saw dis post i immediately contacted an officer at their hq abuja. he said if they r recruiting then it must be through d back door. dis officer works at d admin office. so if there is an open recruitment he should know. but he is not aware of any recruitment.

Anybody can come here and claim to work with Ministry of Interior. Even scammers and disgruntled elements will come and make false claims here. If indeed the recruitment is fake, how come there are adverts is 6 major newspapers and yet the Ministry of Interior has not come out to deny or disown these publications? If you truly work in the ministry and you cannot confirm the authenticity of this exercise from either the Ministry or CDFIPB, then you need to be retrenched with immediate effect!
