Enjoy your Fascist regime. This is why I hate APC and Fashola because they are heartless bast@rds |
So it s safe to say without the rest of Nigeria and Niger Delta oil Lagos will be on par with Cotonou. A glorified port city. |
trovert: LAGOS IS A YORUBA CITY FOR GOD SAKE, ..Nobody is disputing that Lagos is ancestrally belonging to Yorubas but that Lagos owes Nigeria as a whole and the Niger-Delta for the level of development they have. Ask any northerner if Abuja was built from Kano trade and they will ask if you are daft! They (ABOKIS) will tell you that oil built Abuja, so why are you Yorubas denying that Lagos sprung up on her own without inputs from other regions? That is what this thread is all about. |
malele: Recently FG almost awarded 215billion dollars for lekki deep sea port. That is what this thread is all about. This threas if for the likes of Eko nile calling for deportation or Gbawe and Agbameta screaming villagers at any body that dares criticize their fashola. |
Mynd_44: Source abeg.OP's ar$e |
olaife80: Dont bother urself with them man, is a war within and Itsekiri will surely teach them.Itsekiris will never want to join you and they are yet to forget what hapened to them in the 90's You stand a better chance settling with Kwara and the Kabbahs who have dumped you for Arewa ![]() |
Orlando Owoh: Guy, we're talking about the 1960s. Murtala Muhammed became Head of State in 1975.But that is when the problem started. The oil companies have paid royalty to the Federal Government directly only. So it goes to show that the policy of federalism was only applied to other resources outside oil |
Rather than look at facts as they are most of you here have resorted to insults. As I said earlier this is about how and from where Lagos got the resources it is today. Can you imagine a Third Mainland Bridge being built today by Fashola? If so I will expect a toll of 1,000 ![]() |
Orlando Owoh: Nigeria did not witness oil boom till the 1970s besides the regions controlled most of their resources and paid taxes to the FG. East controlled its coal, north controlled its groundnut and cotton, and west its cocoa. Cocoa was the major cash earner of the west. The government of the Western Region asked the Israeli company that designed the University of Ife to modify its drawings, which it did reluctantly, when the government noticed that the prize of cocoa had dropped in the world market.Murtala issued a decreed which made all natural resources Nationalized and controlled from the center! |
ACM10: Another one continues with the damage limitation exercise. Oil displaced those other things that your mentioned as the major source of revenue even as at 1965. That was why it was hard fought. But your. chief tribalist removed it from the equation and indirectly channeled our thought to the useless cocoa. It takes 3-5 years for cocoa to become productive and fruiting occurs at most twice a year and a cocoa tree has a productive lifespan of 25 years. Given international pricing fluctuations and losses from harvesting and processing it can be safe to conclude that cocoa is not as productive as other cash crops such as Rubber or Palm Kernels which was a mainstay of the economy in the SouthSouth. Let us not dare compare cocoa and oil in the past and now in terms of consistent output, production growth and revenue flow. Let them go back to Cocoa farming since in their own words it was more lucrative than Oil! I dare them |
Igbo Millionaire from Anambra? That is like saying Arab Muslim from Saudi. But if you had said non-ignorant, clean, handsome, educated, articulated Military General then we will know you were definitely noT speaking about somebody from the SW. ![]() |
shymexx: And you honestly believe that in a proper war between the Northerners and Yoruba's, the Northerners, especially the Fulani's won't be sent back to the Futa Jallon where they came from?please stop posting You funny die!
|
shymexx: Bishop_maggotBumfagg0t fantasies why you a fagg0t Shymex? why you like d1ck up ur ar$e and down your throat shymex? why shymex why? |
shymexx: I'll never understand Yoruba people and why we love one-Nigeria so much. Trying too hard to be the saviour, yet it's stifling the progress of Yoruba people.see this ode. you guys are into Nigeria like a crack fiend. You know you have gained more than if there was ever true federalism. |
shymexx: Stop trolling me phaggit!so i see you are into ana1 ranting sodomite |
shymexx: Thanks, Sir. Well said!!Go and save yourslef from the clutches of Aboki |
Katsumoto:better. Good riddance you assh0les must be serious w@nkers. after derailing the thread and spewing crap all over the place and not adding a single atomic value to the thread. f00ls |
ilugunboy: Some people will die of frustration and hating of the Yorubas...Nobody is hating anybody rather I am reacting to certain provocative actions and statements by Lagos State Governor and his APC etouts here. The Deportation Saga and the call for renaming of Nigerian Stock Market to Lagos Stock Market. |
St_Black: May I ask:definitely not you guys of late |
Katsumoto: And despite the ND receiving huge monthly allocations, what has its leaders done with the revenue?concern yourself to state of osun affairs |
atlwireles: What disappointment did Jonah cause the southwest press/people 4-5 weeks after the election, before the song of marginalization stated?? Your SW members of the house sold your speaker ship slot to the NW for whatGuy it is useless to argue with these APC touts. They have made me raelize that Yorubas outside education are not really smart. See how Thiefnibu sold them out. This is the same thiefnibu that influenced Al Mustafa's appeal hearing and squashed LASG from filing new charges all in a bid to lure him to then ACN. |
St_Black: I wouldnt use the word 'excuse' in my case but 'opinion'.a few overzealous young men carried out a bloody coup and a whole race must suffer for it? You are daft tribal he-goat |
Katsumoto: You guys like to get emotional during the debates. You start mouthing off but as soon as the other person beats you down with facts, you get emotional.which facts? You have turned the debate to your obsession over Biafra. You are posting crap that cannot be substantiated and all your rantings are not original as you appear to be an adherent follower of one useless historian |
Katsumoto:They simply pillaged conquered territory, siphoned fleeing Biafran deposits and mortaged the future to western countries by giving them cheap concession to oil fields in return for weapons. That is the story of "our history" past. Sad. How the two of you sheltered rats are reliving the civil war. |
atlwireles: I don't think most people waiting to invade the SS, understand Nigeria army has no chance of victory. Absolutely no chance. Inside the mangrove , the creeks and those swampland forest , no outsider can win here. You cannot bomb from the sky, because all you see is absolutely nothing. Just water and forest canopy. And there is the money factor ! A Ukrainian arms dealer will supply you every thing from first grade AK100s to Javeline Missiles. The Chinks dont think on legal principle they will work with who is in charge of the fields. Nigerian army cant do sh1t! The advantage they would have would have been Tanks and heavy armour but how do you deploy a 20ton vehicle in swampy terrain? - You don't! |
Obiagu1: katsumoto thinks he is clever.he derailed this thread with his nonsense |
Katsumoto: Like I stated previously - you don't give candy to a kid if you don't want him to have it.And your AWO just convineitly helped them out |
St_Black: So when Ironsi assumed power, are you saying the various cocoa institutions, plantations, oil palm, etc were not hijacked by the government?6mths! The cocoa takes longer than that to ripen! 6mths for god-sake! |
Eziachi: Ironsi was only in power for six months and after which you and the north was taking turns experimenting with Nigeria, you still find comfort living with evil a long dead Ironsi introduced or was he holding it against your wish from changing it? That's a pathetic excuse. These lot are like old cracked vinyl plates stuck on a tune. They entered this thread looking for Igbo but ended up displaying their xenophobia and insecurities. Complex nah their problem |

But your political elites and your media noise makers blamed Jonah. That song became their building block during the fuel subsidy coup? I remember Falana on Channelstv opening his mouth to accuse Jonah of trying to destroy the southwest economy, that's why he is removing subsidies. What the liar never told Nigerians was the southwest consumed 60% of the so called subsidies petrol. Things just went down hill from there.
