Religion / Breaking New Frontiers- The Inspirational Story Of Samsoft by bishoprccg(m): 1:52am On May 22, 2015
Today it’s a privilege to share the amazing true-life story of a talented young man who has been a shining light in the gospel music industry. He has made a name for himself and created a platform that has blessed millions of life over the years. He is not just a gospel artiste, but also a songwriter cum producer and worship leader. This creative talent who is also the President of SamSoft Music didn’t experience overnight success, as he had to shake off certain barriers and obstacles on his way to the top.

Background

Born in the ancient city of Owo, Ondo State- Western Nigeria to the family of Akhimienho , SamSoft whose real name is Samuel Akhimienho has risen to stardom via the dint of hard work, dedication and Gods unmerited grace. He is popularly called the king of gospel Afro centric hip-hop and is blessed with an awesome voice and natural flair for inspiring the audience with soul-stirring performances.

He had the support of his wonderful parent who ensured his gift and talents did not go unutilized. This multi talented Edo state indigene grew up in Sapele, Delta State- Southern Nigeria in the midst of amazing musical talents like Alec Godwin, Assent Tweed, Jeff Ukiri and the Late Kefee of the Branama fame. In the quest of sharpening his musical talent, he moved to the United States of America where he has become a phenomenon in the gospel industry, as his unique style of music has earned him a platinum selling status in the United States. He has worked with the likes of Ron Kenoly, Tye tribbett, Alvin Slaughter, Martha Munizzi and many more.

He currently plays four musical instruments including the Keyboard, drum and bass guitar and recently released one of his hit songs Holy Spirit ft Keisha Dream-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYQ81oO9ido&feature=youtu.be in 2014. This gospel music sensation got born again at the age of 12, and presently resides in Boston Massachusetts United States of America.

How it all Started

Sam had always known right from a child he would be a gospel artiste. It was an innate quality that came with him from birth. Music had always been embedded in his gene right from birth, but he started actualizing the dream at the age of 12 while still in church. It all started right in the church choir at Sapele, Delta State- Southern Nigeria where he horned his musical skills and rose to become the choir director.

Motivation

Like most amazing talents, Sam’s motivation and Inspiration comes from the Holy Spirit. He always had his tough times at the beginning of his career, but he remained focused on Jesus who is the ultimate fountain of encouragement. The love for God, music and the unwavering love for people around him also motivated him to go into gospel music. Men will always fail you when you looking to breaking through, but he shook off the disappointments of failed promises and lies and held on to Jesus who never fails. According to Sam, these are the secrets of his motivation and success in life.

Failures and Disappointments

He chose not to call it failures, because according to him, we don’t experience failure, but test. The test we talking about are that of character, strength and tenacity of the individual to excel in life. In life, every test is a stepping-stone to whatever success you achieve in your career. A test is calculated to bring out the best in every one of us.

Success Principles that has helped Sam in life

The way to success have rules and Sam has always applied the following success principles which has worked for him:

Follow your vision
Stay in your vision
Stay prayerful
Guard yourself with positive people
Drop every Negative people around you
Love your job

Challenges in Life and career

Every individual in life will always face one form of challenge or the other, and Sam was not an exception, as he had some dose of challenges. Unfortunately according to him, he faced challenges from the church- people who ordinarily would have encouraged him and given him the leverage to excel in his musical career. “Sometimes you get frustrated because these are your own people that should support you but usually not the case”. Funny enough, as soon as you start becoming successful, they want to invite you- that to me is called hypocrisy and it’s a sin. I overcame all that by remaining focused and consistent in doing what I love doing- singing for God daily, and changing my mode of promoting my music via high tech using Networks and Social Media.

Advice to youths and upcoming talents

Sam’s advice to youths and upcoming talents is to stay focused and believe in their dream. He advises them not to share their dreams with unfriendly friends before actualizing them. Finally he appealed to youths and upcoming talents to protect their dreams.

Politics / Re: Ongoing Demolition Of Illegal Structures In Sapele, Delta State by bishoprccg(m): 6:13pm On Jun 28, 2014
In the last few weeks, it’s been tears of pains and anguish as the Delta state government via the ministry of transport and works have commenced a full scale demolition of “illegal structures’’ in Sapele, Delta state. In view of the foregoing, I wish to make the following submission:
1.To keep quiet is not only inhuman, but also inhumane. We assault the victims more by our silence. Indifference to evil is the greatest evil itself, hence I am using this medium to speak up regarding this thorny issue, because of its telling effect on the already impoverish inhabitants of Sapele who have over the years suffered neglects and marginalization from successive government in the state.
2.Every sensitive and people oriented government should have given those alleged to have built or placed illegal structures on major roads sufficient time to comply with government directive. A month or two month notice would have been appropriate in this regards, considering the fact that the government didn’t wake up with the demolition plan overnight. This was however not the case, as the task force involved in the exercise suddenly descended on innocent citizens with their bulldozers leaving in its wake rubble and tears that may take years to assuage. One fact that must be made clear here, is that no sane individual or citizen is against any responsible government planning to bring about beautification and development, but such plans must be properly implemented and the people properly carried along in all the stages of implementation. These structures that have been demolished are the source of livelihood of more than 70% of men and women in Sapele, as government has over the years failed woefully to provide employment opportunities for these same people whose source of livelihood has been destroyed.
3.What is good for the goose is equally good for the gander. I refuse to accept the assertion by the state government that the demolition exercise is devoid of bias, as veritable evidence on ground seems to prove otherwise. A situation where houses, structures and caravans of influential individuals and organizations are spared, while those belonging to poor and helpless individuals are destroyed gives cause for concern and questions begging for urgent answers. This sense of selective demolition to me is the height of injustice as injury to one is an injury to all.
4.When changes are made regarding fundamental structures of governance, the populace is usually given ample provision to relocate to well-planned alternatives. In this case, no provision has been put in place for the thousands of people who have been displaced and deprived of their source of livelihood. The only viable market in the entire vicinity of Sapele- The Sapele Main Market have remained under construction for over 8 years without its completion in sight, and billions of Naira sank into the project. The State government as a matter of urgency must look into the issue of the market with a view of completing it this year. This will go a long way to ameliorate the suffering of traders and those already displaced.

Finally, I wish to put it on record that Sapele which is one of the oldest cities in Nigeria with history dating back to 1891, remains an eye-sore in terms of infrastructural development, as it lacks all the trappings of a modern city. All that is left of the once bubbling city of Sapele are ancient relics which brings a nostalgic feeling to those who happen to witness the timber boom and port activity in the 60’s and 70’s. There is no visible dividend of democracy, as majority of the road network are crying for upgrade and repairs. Sapele Technical College which remains the only viable higher institution has become a glorified secondary school after years of neglect and the promise of siting a polytechnic in Sapele remains a pipe dream that may never be realized. If the State government really cares about the people of Sapele, it should be thinking of uplifting the decayed infrastructures of the city rather than plunging the already down trodden into more misery, poverty and pains.
It is my sincere prayers that the yearning and aspiration of the over 5 million populace of Sapele will be assuaged and succor come in the way of those who have been affected by the ongoing demolition exercise.

Business / Creating Wealth Via Your God Given Talent by bishoprccg(m): 8:20pm On Sep 10, 2013
Do you know you can create wealth with whatever talent God gives to you? Bose Ogunboye a.k.a Lepacious Bose is a prove to the above statement. She remains one of the most popular standup comedians in Nigeria racking in Millions of Naira via her raw talent of making people laugh.

One thing that stands her out, is her size, which she uses as her selling point. What others may look as weakness can become a strength if properly harnessed. When she started out as a comedian, she shared the story about how her mother discouraged her from entering a male dominated profession, but her persistence eventually paid off when she was invited to a big show and was paid handsomely. There and then her parents became her biggest fan. Lepacious Bose discovered her real talent and today she is creating unlimited streams of income from it.

Religion / Five Reasons Why People Are Afriad Of Dying by bishoprccg(m): 4:15am On Apr 06, 2012
Death is a subject that few dread to discuss, because they don’t want to die.
But as we celebrate Easter, which symbolize the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, it is important that we share on the subject matter of Death, because someone had to lay down his life for the entire human race. The truth however, is that death is not all about darkness.
According to Elisabeth Kubler-Ross:
“I’ve told my children that when I die, to release balloons in the sky to celebrate that I graduated. For me, death is a graduation”

Death is a graduation from the lower spiritual realm to the higher spiritual realm. It is a form of relieve from the pains of our daily life. A reprise for those whose body have been ravaged by sickness and pain. The Late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, spoke about the benefit of death few weeks before he passed on unto eternal glory. He mentioned some of the benefits to include:
1. Leaving behind sickness and pain.
2. Leaving behind the trouble and injustice
3. Death is reward for those who know God

The issue is: Despite the benefits of death why are people scared of dying. Below, i have listed some reasons why some individuals are afraid of dying.

1. Not Prepared
Some are not just ready to discuss the issue of death, because they are not ready to die. Discussing the subject makes them uncomfortable. It is natural for one to be happy to undertake a journey when one is prepared. In this case, death comes too soon for those who are not prepared.Death does not give a prior notice to anyone. Its important that everyone be prepared, because nobody knows when Mr death will knock at the door.

2. Not certain of their final destination
Another reason why some individuals are afraid of dying, has to do with the uncertainty of their final destination. When an individual is uncertain about where he/she is going, it becomes practically impossible for such a fellow to enjoy discussing the subject of death. For those who are Christians, there are two destinations- Heaven and Hell. Those who have lived totally for the lord are bound for heaven.

3. Not willing to let go of the present pleasure
The natural man is always happy to be given attention. In Nigeria for example, the affluent and highly placed are not keen about dying, because of their worldly titles, properties and other mundane affiliations. Its easier for an individual who does not attach his/herself to earthly materials to think of going to a higher place of rest, than for someone who is used to having subjects attending to his becks and calls.

4. Feeling of not been fulfilled
When an individual has made series of plans and goals without fulfilling them, it becomes natural for such individuals to become scared of dying. They would prefer to stay alive and complete their goals and aspirations. The irony of life however is this- “The natural man can never be fulfilled” An individual who strive to become a millionaire will never be satisfied of millions. He will always strive to become a billionaire after achieving his initial goal. Its all about the insatiable nature of man. The natural man is always striving to achieve one thing or the other.

5. Wrong Mindset
When an individual has a wrong mindset, about death, it becomes difficult for such an individual to become convinced about the prospect of dying. Its like having a wrong mindset about wealth. When a man does not believe in wealth, such an individual can never become wealthy. Your mindset about death will determine whether you are happy about the subject, or sad about leaving the earthly for the heavenly.

Politics / Re: Enough Is Enough by bishoprccg(m): 10:26am On Dec 26, 2011
@Mobinga, i feel pained that an individual can deride God and the spirit of the dead with so much impunity. I am equally pained that those who ought to raise their objection to the wanton destruction of innocent souls are rejoicing over their travail. One thing am sure of is this: "If you laugh over the misfortune of your neighbor today, misfortune may knock at your door tomorrow"
Politics / Enough Is Enough by bishoprccg(m): 1:46pm On Dec 25, 2011
Today is one of the saddest in my life, as I cannot muster the courage to celebrate Christmas when some of my brothers and sisters have been slain by enemies of the state in neighboring Niger state. Their offence was that they went to church to thank God for keeping them alive. Tell me, what can be worse than snuffing the life out of an innocent soul. What joy can one derive from making someone to shed tears? What benefit can be accrued from making children orphans and for making widows out of those who planned to celebrate Christmas. Where are we heading to in Nigeria? Where is the unity and love we profess? Do we really have a functioning Government? If yes, why can’t they nip this crisis in the bud before it turns into something else? I have lost complete confidence in the ability of the Government to tackle the myriad problem plaguing the nation, and today I am calling on all well meaning Nigerians to call on God with a sincere heart for divine intervention. Enough is enough.

Business / How To Activate Your Dream by bishoprccg(m): 8:03pm On Jun 17, 2011
Every individual on planet earth has gone through the process called dream. Some do remember their dream, while others often forget what they dreamt about. Dreaming is a form of mental activity that takes place whenever an individual is asleep. Dreams are mediums through which God directs our destiny. Some 25 years ago, a young man sought audience with his mentor, and he poured out his heart with regard the burning dream he was having.Unfortunately, the mentor did not believe in the dream and labeled it as impossible! Fortunately, the young man never allowed this negative feedback to discourage him. He had absolute believe in his dream. He pursued his dream passionately, aggressively and relentlessly. People mocked and ridiculed him, but he refused to give up on his dream. Many thought he had gone mad!

He continuously walked towards the actualization of his dream. No price was too small to pay for the dream he had conceived.

All of a sudden, things began to move at the speed of light for this young man. His fame began to spread like wild fire.

Even his worst critics could not ignore him anymore, when they saw the fruits of his hard labor. He single handedly built the largest church in the whole world, with a sitting capacity of 50,000 people! He neither organized a fund raising nor collected loans from banks to actualize this record-breaking feat. He presently has more than 1,000 branches of his ministry scattered all over Africa, Asia, Europe, America and U.K.

He also has one of the best privately owned universities in Africa and has impacted positively on the lives of millions worldwide, through his tapes, CD’s and products. His name is Bishop David Oyedepo: General overseer of the Winners Chapel Worldwide. He never allowed his dream to die prematurely like others, but rather he unleashed his dream upon humanity.

It may take months, years or even a lifetime, to fulfill your dream, but never allow that dream of yours to follow you to the grave. Age, educational background, sex, lack of opportunities or finance is not a barrier to your fulfilling that dream of yours.

Every great achiever was once a dreamer. To achieve anything substantial, you must dream big. The world we live in today is a product of dreams.

Behind every great invention was a big dream. Eleanor Roosevelt said: ‘the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”

Great men like Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor E.A Adeboye, and Thomas Edison all have one thing in common: The ability to conceive a dream and work towards its fulfillment.

The first step in achieving success in life is to dream it!

It was Napoleon Hill who said, “All achievements and all earthly riches have their beginnings in an idea or dream”

As long as we dare to dream and take the courage to unleash our dream, we would always succeed.

It may take months or even years before your dream can manifest, but never you give up on your dreams!

Nigeria will never forget these two players in a hurry.
One became a kung fu star and earned a red card which blew Nigeria chance of progressing in the World Cup.
The other one missed a goal that a pregnant woman would have scored thus aiding the South Koreans to progress in place of Nigeria.
of these two, who is the most hated?

Romance / Is It Possible To Be Single/unmarried An Yet Happy? by bishoprccg(m): 6:53am On Apr 01, 2011
I once knew a pastor who introduced himself as been single and happy.
There were shouts of displeasure from the audience as he smile wryly.
Few years later he married and today he is living happily with his wife and 2 kids.
Does it mean he was not really happy when he was single who it was just a joke?
I believe it is subject to individuals opinion.

In my opinion about relationship, i believe there are some issue that may be left undisclosed perhaps till when it is very convenient.
We all know that relationship is a work in progress, and as both couples get to understand each other, one can be unfolding
the package one after the other.
There are some few things that i believe guys shouldn't disclose anyway.
