This to shut the yapping mouths of those Apple fans who don't know that samsung builds the vital components of their mobile devices. Samsung bumps up the price of Apple’s processors by 20%, Apple can’t say no by Stefan Constantinescu on Nov 12, 2012 Every iPhone or iPad or iPod touch that you see in the wild, they all have processors inside that were manufactured by Samsung. Samsung, knowing that Apple simply can’t call another company and ask them to make their chips, raised the prices of said chips by 20% according to MarketWatch. There’s not much Apple can do, and the report confirms that, saying Apple accepted the price bump. It also goes on to say that Samsung made roughly 130 million processors for Apple in 2011. This year that number is expected to surpass 200 million. And the contract that Apple and Samsung have, it doesn’t expire until 2014. So let’s break this news item down. Why did Samsung bump up the prices of their chips? To screw Apple, obviously, but more importantly to make sure that Samsung can keep a greater share of what their factories spit out. The fewer processors Samsung makes for Apple, the more they can make for themselves. What’s Apple going to do? There have been rumors floating around the internet for months that Apple is going to transition to using another fab, TSMC, for their chips. We fully believe the rumor to be true, now it’s just a question of when. The MarketWatch piece says the contract between Apple and Samsung expires in 2014, so there’s a strong chance you’re going to see some Apple devices with TSMC chips inside hit the market within 24 months. What impact, if any, does this have on the Android ecosystem? Like we said earlier, the fewer components Samsung supplies to Apple, the more they get to keep for themselves. Samsung is now the number one handset maker in terms of volume. They’d like to keep that title, and that means throwing one of their biggest customers under the bus. Do we feel any sympathy towards Apple? Not in the slightest. |
Happy birthday Pastor Chris, if not for you christianity would have seemed like a vain religion. Cos of your word i am concious of my xtian heritage. May God bless u abundantly. |
It is quite impressive to see the Generator powered by urine on a popular and authoritative gadget site like Engagdet, it was really a refreshing feeling. The invention is by nigerian female students. Below is the link: http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/08/urine-powered-generator/ |
This sort code issue has been a bit annoying to me because no bank should ask a customer for a branch sort code, it is totally uncalled for. Every bank has the sortcode for all banks, the stupid thing some banks do is ask you for branch sortcode which as a banker i know is not necessary This is the way it works every bank has a unique sort code which identifies the bank e.g. First bank: 011150000 and your account no. is peculiar to the branch were you opened the account. So incase of an epayment the bank sortcode locates your bank and your account no. Directs the fund to your account. Simple |
In my honest opinion, he is a good entertainer like most Nigerian artist but not a good musician. Most Nigerians thrive on dance beats with little or no lyrical content. What amazes me the most, is that they are more successful, when good artist like mode 9, MI, Tu face etc are yet to break into the international scene. |
Mr seun these new color combination is appalling, specifically the Green background, kindly try the background for your subsequent post wit the black text, i think that would be perfect |
Mr inspired i sent u a mail 2 days ago but haven't gottena reply. how much can i get a 2005 model toyota corolla S with front&rear disc brakes |

@malboro who do you think you can delude? i bet almajiris are also xtians. the issue of insecurity can be traced to abandoned children in the north. A lot of those stories he quoted are counter stories except for the last one for Gombe who was caught with rifles and no single bomb as he qouted. People are trying to protect themselves. like i mentioned earlier Malboro1 qoutes is the new tacticcs employed in the north to creste grey areas to geniune cases and the counter stories are false and cannot be verified. Let me give you an example: Some xtians were attacked and killed in Deeper Life Church Gombe. The counter story was created that an igbo man who owed the assailants (fellow igbos) money ran into their church and the killers now killed worshippers and the igbo man. To show that the story is shuddy the same story was peddled for the adamawa killings. Ask yourself would an igbo man kill someone owing him money without getting paid back. |
Where are all those chicken hearted unrealistic people who claim we must remain united as one Nigeria. i believe they are waiting to loose a loved one first. The only succour to this issue is secession at least the suicide bomber would have to cross borders to attack or start a war. but since they live amongst us, southerners/christians are easy targets. |
Oga Seun!!! The new nairaland color combination is not lovely/appealing at all and the font size is too small. just like someone mentioned earlier kindly allow users to have both options to access and judge or simply put up a poll. Remember your success totally depends on the users |

Some really sad news. The state had not experienced any major attack since BH campaign of violence. i was lucky to be at home and not caught up in the chaos. Info reaching me says the police station close to the Emirs Palace after the popular Cross Roundabout was attacked. God help us all |
By SaharaReporters, New York Residents of Gombe township in Gombe state have reported multiple explosions and gunfight surrounding a police station opposite Bubayero primary school in Gombe township. |
I would propose North and South. The most intolerant people are core northerners - as they believe their lifestyle is superior to all, so for every perceived grievnace they kill southerners and Xtians in mass. e.g. Reinhard Bonke Crusade in kano was opposed by killing Xtians Miss world hosting in Nigeria Xtians in the north paid the ultimate price Last years election innocent Xtians were sacrfised especially Corpers. just to mention a few |
@Shymmex; You sound like u are not following the trend of things in this country. Which war are u running away from the one dat has already started. BH says it wuld not dialogue wit Govt unless we implement sharia in Nigeria & went as far as saying GEJ must convert to islam. they have been reigning terror on the Govt and Xtians. which has been stated clearly in their in most of their Youtube videos. Dividing this country is the best way to satisfy BH desire of having full shaira |
Nigeria is indeed a failed State, because of the North. we gain nothing from em. Imagine the south provides most of the resources in this country both human and financial but the north believes its their birth right to rule over us and our resources. Ask yourself do you feel safe in this country? for me its no because of insurgents in the north which sprouted as a result of a southern president. Please tell me if it is fair dat D oil money is used to build infratructures in the north and pays salaries of those under the northern govt payroll. But they claim it is not good enough, dey have to rule over us always. they promised to make this country ungovernable because a southerner is in power. The southerners have been so docile. dey hold us to ransome using religion why don't we hold dem to ransome using our oil money. cut a significant part of their monthly allocation for every southerner killed or divide the country simple |
Who is fooling who. these same set of people (North) promised to make the country ungovernable because a southerner won elections against their wishes. They just realized dat their plan is now having a negative effect (Dividing the country) and they can't do without the oil money/revenue The best solution for Boko haram menace is to divide the country so thst the North can practice Sharia as demanded by BH and the oil revenue for those states is used to compensate southerners who have to relocate and forfeit their investment in the north and also develop the the south as it would be an additional fund. That way BH and the north are happy and the southernerns are settled. |
This issue, as complicated as it sounds has a simple solution. Why not divide the country so that the northern Nigeria can practice Sharia and every southerner relocates to southern Nigeria. All the allocation meant for the northern nigeria can be used to compensate the relocating southerners and develop the southern Nigeria. If u ask me, it is a win win solution. Norhterners plus BH are happy and southerners are happy simple. |
Just forget all Sanusi's Economic twist. He is trying to decieve the international community to sympathise with boko haram. The problem with the north in general is their culture. they marry as many wives as they want, give birth to so many children that dey cannot cater for. The reason we have Almajiri's who have become Boko haram. There are only a few northerners dat belive in family planning cos they belive it is a western trick to reduce their population which gives them the edge in politics. |
The NFS series is da bomb. i mean games are for entertainment purpose, if u can't do it in real life at least u can do it in game. Bet dats the reason no one mentioned NFS pro street, the game really sucked. i had a good time with NFSMW. |
The foolish Jonathan Badluck is slow to take action against terrorism which results in loss of lives but is quick to remove fuel subsidy that puts the country in a more precarious position of adverse hardship, who be fool? |
