A change of theme can also cause this temporary challenge. Aside this, new sites bounce on and off on the SERPs before they stabilize. |

Webmasters / Do You Love What You Do? Begging To Digress On The Linda Ikeji Success Story by bizfirst: 9:33pm On Oct 22, 2015 |
About a day ago, my friend, Emeka Nobis begged to differ on the current tide sweeping towards Linda Ikeji's latest asset, a mansion purported to be over half a billion Naira (about 3 million dollars). Emeka argued that why the debate was for and against Linda, the most important thing should have been a curiosity to learn from the respected blogger and someday, maybe, build a mansion like hers (or even a bigger and better one). While Emeka is 100% and I concur with his views completely, I wish to add that it is very important to note that Ms Ikeji clearly loves her laptop and loves what she does - that is why she was able to rise within the ranks in about 5 years and achieve the fame and stardom she did (almost effortlessly). Now, if you were inspired by that story, it's high time you take Emeka's advice and also remember that without passion and love for what you do, you'll go nowhere. Remember too that not all are called to blogging or even love the model of making money...if you can't blog, go, master what you love and be persistent in improvement and I tell you most solemnly, you'll also build your mansion in no time - if that is what you desire. Honestly. Disclaimer: I have a lot of respect for Ms Ikeji as a tenacious businesswoman. However, I do not consider her my model or align myself with her methods.

Richiy: One important question (that may save the day): Did you by any chance install any of the numerous WP backup plugins before this sad expiration? |

For marketing, yes (afterall, the cyber space is almost filled to the brink) However, what you really need in the end is raw brains and a spirit that never gives up! |
Politics / Thoughts At (nigeria's 55th) Independence Anniversary by bizfirst: 2:20am On Oct 01, 2015 |
THOUGHTS AT (NIGERIA'S 55th) INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY Today, Nigeria celebrates 55 years of self determination, away from the clutches of colonial powers. On such a momentous occasion, it is important to reflect on the journey so far and learn the lessons (if any) as appropriate. 1. Age does not necessarily mean wisdom or intelligence (like we love to believe in Nigeria). If at 55, Nigeria is still messing up and getting even the basics VERY wrong, it is no guarantee that an older person would automatically make more sense than a younger one. Intelligence, wisdom and genius are thus not the preserve of older persons. If all the claims to power/authority that you have revolve around the fact that you are old or more mature (something even a goat can achieve), you should be indeed sorry for yourself! 2. It is never too late to change course and do the right thing. For Nigeria, that change came on May 29th this year when the people's General took oath of office...power was restored magically, queues vanished from the filling stations and billions of Dollars that were not missing previously, returned without no one even asking (yet)... As an individual, this is quite an important lesson...whether you are 20 or 50, you can still change (positively) and in the process, even awe yourself. It is never too late. Remember, the CHANGE for Nigeria came in 2015 after 54 good years of cluelessness! 3. The art (and science) of trading blame gets no one anywhere. Nigerian scholars are good in quoting the colonial powers as being responsible for Nigeria's woes. However, what they forget to mention - or are ashamed of is the fact that Nigeria was a colony with many other smaller and less blessed entities (now countries). Unfortunately, these countries have left Nigeria well behind now... As an (adult) individual, blaming others for your woes is plain dumb...many have passed through the same scenario you now find yourself (or even worse) and have still excelled. DO NOT BE LIKE COMPLAINING NIGERIA! 4. Finally, always ensure that you do the right thing - even it appears not to count... Many Nigerians had lost faith in the Nigerian project and it appeared no one could really bring PDP down...the party was simply all powerful. However, a few Nigerians still believed that change was possible and with their aid, vocal and financial support, many more were drawn to the cause. The rest is history, known to you and me... If you must thus be anything, kindly ensure that you do the correct thing even if there are indications that you may not win...if in doubt anyday, remember PMB. LONG LIVE NIGERIA!
