Car is 1996 Camry 2.2l automatic making a clicking sound while driving.

The sound is like that of a new bicycle wheel turning - kick, kick, kick.

It occurs driving straight but gets louder if the wheel is turned slightly to the right. Clicks get slower or faster according to the car speed.

It is not the typical crack crack sound of a bad CV joint thst occurs mostly only while turning. shift fine and movement is good.

When the driver side wheel is jacked up in the neutral gear position and the wheel turned, the click click sound is heard in the region of the inner CV joint area.

Mechanic thought it was from the differential area because it was almost completely empty. Transmission fluid was put in but the sound is still there.

Please I need experts in the house to help figure out this problem for me.

To OP, the answer depends on what vehicle we are talking about and to what level you are going to go with your modifications. One caveat, with suspension, one thing affects the other as they are infinitely related. So say you add tires with a bigger circumference as is common in Nigeria, then you've affected the designed sprung weight of the car, many nasty things can occur at speed when the wheels start oscillating up and down since the shocks might not be able to deal with the extra weight of the now bigger tires.

CAR:
Most cars, except for a relative few like the Audi All Road, are not conducive to being raised.

Pick Up Trucks:
Most pick up trucks, especially those with solid axles can easily be raised with a combination of body and suspension lifts. I had a Toyota Pick Up Truck , that I installed a 6 inch body lift, 6 inch suspension lift and the new tires also gave it an additional 4 inches of lift.

Did I affect the center of gravity? Loads! Did I once felt unsafe while driving it? Absolutely not!

So what car are you thinking of raising?

PS: I smile when I see a lot of people with their new fancy cars in Nigeria and wonder how they manage to get around unless they plan their trips carefully.

The fault usually develop when you slow down and try to accelerate. The car just goes off automatically and I see check engine in the dashboard. I have changed fuel pump, checked temperature switch, changed ejector, cleaned the nossils and also bought new plugs. I am really confused I have spent over 120k. This problem started when I gave a mechanic to change oil seal(biggest mistake I made because I left car with him). I don't know if he unplugged something or plugged something. Please I beg help me I don't want to waste more money on mechanics. If anyone has had issues like this and fixed it let me know how you fixed it. The car is hybrid by the way
