How many pages (max) long should a SOP ?

Two pages is ok,well is still depends on how good you can write a flow essay that even the VO will want to read again....so aside the last page that will show necessary documents,financial documents etc,it shouldn't be more than 2pages,in addition to what Yemdogg posted about SOP,I think you need to put an interesting story on how you have interest in the program you are putting in for.

i am not here to battle words with any1. I speak facts and from experience amongst my friends who are in canada already. If you noted my ending statement i said i was speaking relatively to the concern about the documents listed . Ask people on this thread that if u r idle for a long time/unexplained gaps and you apply for visa..i repeat it again you MUST BE REFUSED on "PURPOSE OF VISIT" and its accomplice. Last month i spoke against about using maple edu.canada agents and 2 people on this thread who used them and i wldnt want to mention their Monikers have been denied.i dont say nonsense or what i don't know i speak facts as i have mastered the Canada study visa system.moreover my close friend used MAPLE EDU.CANADA,paid almost N600k to them and was denied visa last 2months,their family cried wella. I was the one that helped him apply for his GCMS note and the VO noted program inconsistency as the sole reason for refusal.i dont say rubbish here.if that guy above can be sincere,if he has long gap without covering it/unexplained,he won't get this visa.im not here to sugarcoat words..this is from experience which i have never seen any1 overcome even if he goes to shiloh at cannan land and pray day and night. It can't solve it.moreover with the documents the guy listed i never knew he has submitted,i thought he was asking for review so he will proceed to submitting,that has why i made those comments to cater for any long gap if he has one since i don't know when he finished service.

God will favour,you have submitted,put your application in front of God,believe in Him,never look for any fault in ur application....but every day pray to God,and have faith.....Am not a Pastor,but faith without giving up works.

My concerns are i didnt include birth certificate of my sponsor to show relationship. But in her affidavit of support which was notarized..she states it there that we are cousins. And in the sponsorship declaration she stated that she s sponsoring me because my dad took care of her education from the primary level to tetiary.so she s kinda returning the favor.
Also..my cousin is married with two kids which she stated in the affidavit of support..but her bank statement, work id still bears her maiden name. Even she was refered to by her maiden name in the reference letter from her employer. House what do you think about this.. #pgd 8 months

Mother/Father/husband/sister/bother sponsorship is always the best because you don't stress ursef in proving/providing relationship only just birth certificates and marriage certificate have done the job. My advice to avoid all this insufficient balance of a thing..let your sponsor atleast pay ur full tuition if he is a CHAIRMAN / half of the tuition fees and provide the receipt while filing ur application, transfer your living expenses/maintenance to ur personal account and write a letter in respect to that.this i think shows commitment of ur sponsor in the VOs eyes and will help mitigate all these insufficient funds thing. Narration of relationship can't be enough as they need strong conviction by evidence of documentations. As for ur personal assets, atimes statement of account isn't enough if you have worked for a long time and at a certain age.if you are single at that age they need something tangible as evidence to propel you back home.either family or tangible assets like land/shares will have to come into play.Also for the personal assets/financial status,i hope you added all your revelant employment documents too?

I don't have landed property,I started working 2012,after nysc,in fact the work self God just dey bless now,besides,can someone take educational Loan from a registered co-op,where all necessary documents to back it up that after the program it will be sorted out...because will someone go and buy land now/shares

Yep, you can get a master's admission with that CGPA (though it would require an amazing application as well as a strategic choice of schools). uOttawa on their website somewhere states that they accept 2:2 for some programs (e.g. Electronic Business Technologies and some other programs). @MichaelFinn a long time ago (part 8, I think) got admission to uOttawa with a 2.54 CGPA. I can also imagine that some other schools with a 2:1 requirement may accept a 2:2 student with an extremely good application (excellent recommendation letters, relevant work experience, extraordinary SOP, personal contact with the admissions office, etc).

Your work is cut out for you, but you can do it!

I'm really getting confused here, @lawmerchant said i can easily get a masters admission with a 3.73 CGPA, @snoop4dem also said he got a masters admission for a CGPA as low as 2.9, @blaugrana82 said it is not possible to get admitted with a CGPA lower than 3.75, it is always stated on university's website admission requirement have atleast Grade B, I already got an offer letter from a college, shoud i go ahead with my visa application? People with experience shd enlighten us here.

Andre no is confusing you,3.73 is ok for master as stated earlier by lawmerchant,just apply to more than one school.

2.90 and you got masters admission? what year, course and how did u do it? cos schools in Canada aren't accepting anything less than 3/4 which is equivalent to 3.75 CGPA for masters. so I'm still wondering how u got a masters program admission with 2.90 CGPA if truly. pls enlighten us. it would be highly appreciated

This is false information. My CGPA was lower than 2.9 and I got admission for a masters program in canada. The chances are slim but not impossible

you don't type false information here,we all know 2-1 is for master,and master programs are more competitive,besides did I typed impossible,the chances are very low esp.why going for the slim chance,you can only advice him/her to try on it but not 100%sure,so I will advise you to use a better word for 'false information'

Your age has nothing to do with your application,age is no restriction to education,baba Iyabo still go school,read the treads for necessary documents to get for your app

I will be applying for study permit in july. I got study leave letter and introduction letter from the company I am presently working with. I got a juicy job from another company and I will be resigning from my present company soon. I'm a bit disturb now based on what gastuso said that the VO mail his company to confirm his staff Identity. I just hope it will not harm my visa application because leaving the company in july is 100% sure

In my opinion the view of vo in ghana is myopic thinking Msc applicants are more credible than diploma, pgc or any other post graduates degree applicants. I for a person I deliberately applied to an applied degree course in petroleum engineering before proceeding to Msc so as to have a good background knowledge being d fact I hv my undergraduate in chemical engineering. I believe there are so many pple like me who think beyond PR or postgraduate work permit In canada.

The only thing that's constant in this life is change, canadian govt can just wake up tomorrow nd put up a policy to cancel Postgraduate work permit like Uk. Wat will now become of someone who has gone for a course in canada mainly becos of PR or PGWP.my little cent

I have the same issue now,my waec and the passport are correct,but other docs have my first name being interchanged with the middle name,what should I do,should I swear an affidavit or what?

I have written over 700 posts answering so many possible questions about getting a TRV, yet people still mention me to answer the same questions I have repeatedly answered. Smh. Please before you mention me to answer your question(s), read my previous posts. So many others like @tnuola @Team12 @mevisbleek @Onyeoma3 @TheBae @hayqinsbFX @ayooluwatoni @berexio1 @Amefrica and many more people have answered an innumerable number of questions several times over. Read their posts. Or just read all of Part 6 and/or Part 7 and/or 8.

I think we that we are looking forward for trv on this part 9/10 truely to buckle up as being said by thesoj,who someone pple accused of not contributing again,I read someone was discussing about board and room issue,and I opened my Google,then I typed room and board,Canada,nairaland and I pressed entertainment,the whole link that has to do with room and board showed up and read through while in office,it got to a stage I was laughing and my partner was like why is this guy laughing,but you know you can it out.....in all let us read through and what we can just do to have smooth application is link with one/two guys that have done it before for more direction.....we will all rejoice testify to God's goodness.
