Good day everyone, first and foremost congrats to @snoop4dem, I have some very cunning questions to ask nd I would be glad if everyone can contribute cos I knw some people are also confused about this section. thanks as we all contribute
1. Tuition section: I over payed my first year tuition but it wld b credited for my next payment, my question now is this, should I state the over paid fee or the fee written on my acceptance letter
2. Rooms and board section: on my acceptance letter there is a break down as follow;
Rooom nd board $7200
Transportation: $720
Books; $1200
Miscellaneooous: $960
Total: $10,080
My question is this, will I just write d 7,200 stated for rooms nd board above or should I write the total $10,800
3:other section: will this be the addition of my personal saving and the yearly fund of $10,000 as promised by my sponsor or the addition of books,transportation,miscellaneuoos stated above?
4: funds available for my stay section: will it be equal to or greater than the addition of tuition+rooms and board+ other be Funds available for my stay

Hi Guys, thanks for the support in this group. I checked my CIC account now and I saw that my application has been approved. I hope those who are still expecting theirs will share testimonies soon. It was a long wait between April 11th, submission date, April 19th medical date and 24th June application approval date.

Which company is sponsoring you?is it where you work/uncle's coy,i believe in your next application try and work on your personal statement of account,because you have not pay any tuition fee,maybe if the money can be transferred into your account as evidence to show that your sponsor is committed...and it will be stated in ur SoP how you have such increment....other gurus in the house will help put more input.....that is my view

I really dot expect CAD to go down in the next one or two months.
Reason- The CBN has no pegged rate for the CAD no more and this is the period when people are paying school fees, hence the demand for CAD will continue to soar

I checked on Monday its was 205 to a dollar.......by today it is 222 to a dollar...

This is really not the best of times to plan travelling....

All of a sudden the 175naira to a dollar it was some time ago seem so cheap.....

try and work for your Gcms,from there you will know how to tackle it in your second application,i like your spirit,you will laugh last,just do the needful

My application was delayed today After Medical Passed status. CIC requested Medical result.

Please note that only the grounds that are checked off apply to the the refusal of your application.
1) have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study
2) have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the costs of transporting yourself and any family members who are accompanying you to and from Canada.

You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:
1)personal assets and financial status.

Others Reason:
Insufficient evidence of available funds provided for your studies in Canada.

Below is the documents I submitted on April 22nd.

1) Offer and Letter of Admission
2) Letter of Approval of my application for a Certificat d’acceptation du Québec (CAQ) for Studies.

5) My pay slips from October 2015 to March 2016.
6) Reference letter from my bank.
7) Bank reference letter for Company

Other Documents:
1) Completed and signed IMM1294E, IMM5257B_1 and IMM5645E forms.
2) Data page of my international passport.
3) Passport photograph
4) Copy of my Birth Certificate

I just got a refusal mail from CIC.

Exactly 8 week today i suppose.

Only reason is purpose of visit.(it has been my worst fear cos i know i perfectly ticked all other boxes before applying).

I knew with my status at work they would expect me to apply for MBA and not PGC. I'm not so surprised.

Abi una sabi any school wey go give me MBA admission with HND? On a serious note, if any, let me know.

I will apply for Gcms, and see what the VO said and refire for the last time!

If you are still serving in Nigeria,NYSC must reflect in filling your application,while your PPA is where you are posted,where you can be a teacher,etc which is occupation,no need to argue on that....We are here to learn from each other so as to have a successful application

Really....what is the meaning of occupation? Is NYSC an occupation? NYSC is the organization that posts you to your place of primary assignment. Is it only people that work in NYSC secretariat that are youth corpers?

Ok,yeah i mean official rate,well i was at access bank yesterday and i discussed with their operation manager as regards to form A,he told me Access has no official rate yet,but by wednesday they would have concluded on that,then they will now work on form A...God help us for this country.

That's the implication of floating the naira.

It's now regulated by bank market rate.

So it's safe to say that's the official rate .

With the 219.9 naira to 1 Canadian, will this affect those who have applied with a lower exchange rate when calculating the proof of fund (available money) as the rate is now higher? could This devaluation make someone who has met this criterion before be refused for insufficient fund , assuming the person doesn't have surplus?

Yours is remaining only 13%, you should be able to pay that when you get here and do some work. I just checked Google, 1 dollar is now officially 280.50 Naira.

Will you really want to pay school fees at all if you want to bypass application fee. One way I think is possible for you not to pay application fee is by going to edu fairs where you have direct contact with agents of different schools abroad...my 2kobo

It's a good idea but it may surprise you to know that to even get a Masters now can be difficult even with a 2.1. Your 2.1 has to be strong between the ranges of 4.0 and above. And I am talking from experience. Other things count too like the ability to secure a supervisor and relevant years of work experience.

Hope no condition given to you about Ur tuition fee,if any fulfil it,aside that you are good to go,all the same put ur in case in Baba God hand,Tell him to favour you,we only need His Favour.

There is no comprehensive list of documents to add.

If the program you are going for is IT related, please add your relevant certifications.
Also include your Resume and you may wish to add your pensions SOA as proof that you have been working.

Any other member can also add to this list

You can do this as well,depending on how you want it..

Try to get embassy letter from the investment company the letter should be addressed to Canadian embassy. A letter will be prepared for you showing the naira value of your investment and in the currencies of the countries (pounds and dollars). I think stanbic investment charge about N2,700 for such letter, I don't know about other investment company,also add your purchase statement with the letter. Print your bank statement no matter the amount provided the money market fund can cater for your expenses and submit. My opinion though.

Yes in your Sop,your statement of account will show that once you give instruction to the coy to pay directly into ur acct,i did market fund as well,just try and work on that...at least you are submitting application for 2017...besides you have the paper for the market fund,you filled forms right?,so submit them together

I have answered that,look for university that can offer you same course,you have 2-1,you are qualify to put in for master,isnt even about you been desperate but you only didnt go for the right thing.....

Please do you think applying to that Graduate Certificate in Global Business Management with Humber college with my 2.1 would not make Vo think one is desperate? Is Humber College well recognised just like other schools and universities?

Yes,it raises a red flag,only you have a better story to tell the Vo why you are put in for this course,kind of inter-woven,and if you can search for the search for the same course it will be nice,as per schools,just type on google the course then put canada at the back...you have it

I need some clarifications. I know as a single person when applying for a TRV am supposed to show proof of funds for a years upkeep usually $10,000. When an accompanying spouse is involved in the application does this become $20,000 ?

Also I have 90% of my funds in a money market fund. Its an habit thats been with me for some years now. Can I present this as proof of funds , since it takes 2 -3 days for the money to clear into my account.

All glory to God, I applied online and was a silent addict of this group throughout the period. Thanks to sholay2011, he was my offline guru and thanks to all the guru here God bless.

Soa from maternal uncle 5m balance
Letter of sponsorship from uncle ( not notorized)

And that was all I think . loads of prayer, fasting , retreats.
Just be true with your application and I wish all medical and all trv hopeful all the best. It shall come soonest. My app too 3 months . sorry for the long post .

I understand that you must be distraught and disappointed right now. I empathize with you. My best friend was in your shoes months ago, things worked out well on the second app. Yes the process is pretty much annoying after the long wait, and all but you didn't wait this long to settle for less or compromise.

How about you seek for gcms notes like someone earlier mentioned? We can't advise properly until we have details of your app. It's just a phase, don't see it as an end.

For anyone with 2-2,going to college,open the attachment and look for a related course.
