thumbs up for this
michV:
while i agree with you bro, a PGC(D) applicant would provide mediocre application and will hardly scale through.most atimes you can hardly hear PHD applicants here even with glaring loop holes they still get approved.i don't think i have seen any PHD applicant active on this thread get refused.same is applicable to masters applicants on scholarship or funding a VO would always be convinced that they are genuine students and would rarely pay attention to lapses in their applicaton except blatant concerning issues. But let PGC(D) applicant try leaving somethings undone, the individual is willingly providing pathway for the VO to discard the application.if prayer and fasting was about getting visa i wouldnt have been refused on just that mere reason cos my sponsor's monthly earning which is clearly stated on her payslips can still cover the remaining 1million in reference to the current exchange rate which another VO might still consider me if i appeared in the category of genuine students as it seems to them.in essence do the right thing 1st then grace, destiny and God's time for you can come to play. The truth is we all might not be meant for canada. There are other study destinations with Good international incentives.Mc loff before his dead said if your time never reach brother bone struggling cool

thesoj, let me summarise it for you, perfect all your application, but know that the one that will perfect your app is God.Briefly, let me share story of a cousin that went for an interview at US embassy, she was facing the woman that will interview her,as the woman was asking her questions, one of the visa officers pass by and look into the VO system and the VO passing by told the one conducting the interview that he knows much about my cousin family in US,and that was all.So do your best, and leave everything for God,if you dont get it in the first time it doesnt mean you wont get it if you re-apply.
thesoj:
With all due respect, I disagree with posts like this that encourage people to think that prayer/grace is more important to your application than how well you put it together. In my view, this attitude encourages a lackadaisical approach to problem-solving, which is the problem with our country. We like unnecessary shortcuts. This is not to say that people shouldn't pray if it helps them feel better about their application, I am solely stating that prayer will not work as a substitute to putting together an excellent application.

Also, stating that you only get your TRV by prayers/grace is a bit insensitive towards those who prayed and fasted yet didn't get their TRVs. It in a way implies they didn't pray hard enough or they didn't for some reason deserve grace.

WOW!
Infinity2020:
My application has been approved today after 20 weeks. I hope this will encourage all TRV hopefuls and to remind you that with God nothing is impossible. If God be for us who can be against us.

Date of Submission (paper): 18th April, 2016
Medical mail: 30th Aug. (after 19 weeks)
Medical done: 31st Aug
Medical passed update: 3rd Sept
Approval mail: 7th Sept (School resumes same day 7th Sept)

It took a week to approve my Visa from the date of medical ( that was God's speed).

I thank God for His grace. God will do it to all of you just as he did for me.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by bjmme: 4:39pm On Sep 07, 2016
Sorry about your delay. But looking at your application from an UNEMOTIONAL and PRACTICAL point of view, 6.1m in your sponsors account was waaaay too small. If you boost up that account to not less than 10m and apply again, you have 99.99% chance of getting your trv.

It has nothing to do with Pgd or masters admission, I got my trv at first attempt with a one year Pgd in a PRIVATE career college. The long wait is annoying but try again.
michV:
thanks..i have bounced back..pushing on my alternatives. dem say na insufficient for tuition dem go use win me na grin
I will prefer you go by this advice, if you have gotten your GCMS,it shows that is the area you need to work on
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by bjmme: 4:31pm On Sep 07, 2016
The outcome of your application depend on all these variables stated by you,if you have your TRV you can still meet up,deffering till 2018 is a very long way to go because you dont know the outcome,I pray they answer you on time
greatlifeis89:
Guyz please i need your advise.

I am 29 years with a good job. I have 3 years work experience as an external auditor and over 6 months experience as a forensic auditor (even though i didn't study accounting in school). I graduated with 2:1 and i am an associate member of various professional bodies including ICAN and CFE (USA). I applied for and was admitted for a PGC in fraud examination and forensic accounting at Seneca college. I submitted my VISA application on May 24 (via Manual) and CIC is yet to revert.
My resumption date was Sept 6, hence i have sent series of mails to the school informing them of my situation. Based on the response i got from Seneca college, the last date for me to resume at school is September 12 and the last date to request for deferment or refund of school fees is September 19.

My Concerns
1) Whether i should defer or request for refund of school fees
2) If i defer, the next resumption date for my program is September 2018
2a) There are over a million things i can use the tuition fees to do before then.
2b) Before Sept 2018, i can decide to explore other options. If i decide to explore other options, will seneca college at that point refund my tuition fees?
3) If i request for refund, then re-apply for Sept 2018 intake or if i defer till Sept 2018 intake, is there still any hope that CIC may still grant me VISA for Sept 2018 intake using my present application or i will have to re-apply.
4) If CIC approves my VISA today, does anyone think i can still meet up with the Sept 12 deadline? i learnt that it takes over 5 days for the passport to get to VFS.

spot on,
Tarry:
PGD applications often works in strange ways, you seem to have more chances with you PGD application without experience in your field than when you have experience in your field. so I say you have good chances. The PGD will be a progression to enhance your prospect of getting job in your field but why not a master degree that will make your chance better. your experience in finance is not a problem it only show you want to get back to your previous degree area of study

Bad guy you be Ethan, and for all delayed Trv,I feel sad to see all these, but going forward let us tackle the cause of the delay rather than have assumption abt pgc
Ethan45:
My Broda laugh wan kill me wen i hear 4. Na to just dash them money or kukuma pay for there monthly salary be the koko other than applying for all Four of you at once. Single applicant dey book novena and vigil for Cic to dash them just 1 year visa.
CIC middle name na stone cold, they find it hard to giv mumsi and pikin of 6months visa, gav d mum nd left d pikin to be feeding on ewedu and pap wen d mum travels, thats to know there level of akpo,hw then would they giv a community of 4 visa?
Sir/Ma my advice abeg apply alone, save the other applicants app fee for your flight ticket lera you invite your people over when u bag ur Trv because from statistics delay for all 4 of u is 95%.

Truely none like God,i will testify as well by the time i apply....congrats,please is good you share documents submitted, and once more dont be far frm Nairaland for you to put others through we need you here...God answer us all
NonelikeGod:
God breaks protocol
God reorders existing systems
God can turn back & hold the hands of time
God can turn around mess ups into set ups for step ups

I testified last week that I had received my passport request. However, I realised after I had submitted my passport to VFS that I was supposed to upload a scanned copy of my renewed passport through my CIC account and not to actually submit the hard copy yet (my passport had less than 3months before expiration).
As soon as I realised this, I uploaded a letter of explanation for my misconception and apologising for my wrong mode of submission. As God would have it, I received my approval mail. I kept declaring the promises of God over my life & pleading the blood of Jesus over my renewed passport bearing my new martial last name (after CIC asked me to renew my passport, I used the opportunity to change my surname. So I submitted the passport along with all the required change of name documents.

I asked God to use this incident as an opportunity to fast track my application and restore unto me the time I spent doing medicals. The period of doing medical a was a further revelation of God’s deep love for me. It turned out that I had a certain heart condition which I had no idea about; so I was referred by the hospital to go for a series of tests...I was exhausted, drained, burned and sapped emotionally and financially during this period. But Glory be to God I passed my medicals despite all the gra gra of the hospital. My God has the final say .

I received a ‘passport request’ from CIC on Friday and thanked God anyway, even though I prayed that they should stamp my passport before sending it back to me instead of us going back and forth..Fast forward to today, I picked up my passport with the intention of resubmitting it to them along with the passport request letter. Brethren, as I type this, I have my visa already stamped in my PASSPORT....who can do this if not God? The Jehovah Over do, the God whom the mountains saw and fled. I give him all the glory. I received my visa ahead of schedule hahahaha Jehova pass me oooh. I haven’t received my approval mails but I have my visa. JESUS THANK YOU. RECEIVE MY PRAISE....even the VFS people were surprised hahaha. My God has a laughter like THUNDER.

Renewing my international passport wasn’t so easy either. After paying 30k for 64 pages, I expected sharp sharp service. However I went there 3 times before I could get my passport. In fact it was the delay in getting the passport that made not remember to make a copy of the new passport for my personal records because I went straight from immigration to VFS. If I had made a copy I would have scanned and uploaded through my CIC after realising my mistake....but God had other plans; plans to fast track my visa approval. He didn’t want me to wait for passport request before getting my visa; God did upfront passport request/submission for me.

Gaining admission wasn't so easy. I applied to only one school....1 week after the deadline. How God gave me that admission still surprises me to this day.
I give God the glory. He was with me from start till finish. This whole process could have gone wrong because of my numerous inefficiencies, insufficiencies and inadequacies. The Blood of Jesus totally removed every requirement needed of me. Who can bring a Charge against me? It is God who justifies me. He has released upon me bounds of grace. I leap over mountains, I run over troops, I break barriers, because of this my God. He is so kind and merciful.

All things work together for good, to them who love God and walk according to his purpose. All in All, God’s mercy superseded my fears, worries, and messups. The natural order is ‘1+1=2, 5+5=10, if you don’t give CIC what they want = DENIAL”. However by the Blood of Jesus, I am exempted from the natural order and natural results. My case is Different. A thousand shall fall by my side and ten thousands by my left hand side but no harm shall come near me, the Lord is my refuge and my ever present help in times of trouble.

I submitted the normal documents, my husband's company was my sponsor, I have 2 kids (by God’s grace, theyl join me in January, I’m 26 years old, I finished school in 2010 & 2011 (University & Law Sch). Send any questions to my DM, I’l be glad to help. Both present and future applicants are welcome. I'll be off nairaland for some time. Keep the faith, keep the fire burning, there are dimensions of grace, God’s mercy will locate everyone in Jesus name AMEN.
