Ekpeye people remained with Ndiigbo to the end during the Biafran war. And they totally rejected Rivers State during the Willink commission fearing Ijaw domination and preferring to stay with their Igbo brothers.
If Rivers State were to be created by referendum, Ekpeye would have voted to stay with East Central state.

But things have changed and Ikwerre and Ogba have corrupted Ekpeye with their rabid Igbophobia virus.
