Even, adults like Eziachi, MENTALgong and co are just the same. Its no wonder young'ns like u act just like ur adults; Vile, vulgar, and beast-like! |

PhysicsQED: 3. I don't see how they would have killed Okpara even though the most ruthless among them (Nzeogwu, for example) might have had no problem with just a clean slate and a complete wipe out of all first republic politicians.
5. I don't think Zik was the diabolical mastermind here, he just seems too refined to resort to a naive and violent pseudo intellectual like Nzeogwu as the arbiter of his fate and the decider of his future.
I'm out for now. Be back tomorrow. Nice to see your characterization of Nzeogwu. . . . Nzeogwu is this maniac . . . . but what was Ifeajuna?! This tells a lot about you, you know? PhysicsQED: I simply don't believe a former medical doctor (an educated man) would risk his successful governance of his region to go and get involved in a military conspiracy to murder his political adversaries that might not necessarily have been successful and would transfer power of governance away from him and to the military. Okpara simply had no motivation to conspire and nothing to gain from it. You dont believe an educated Okpara would scheme with Coup Plotters, but, I bet u agree with your brothers on here that a similarly educated Mr M.K.O Abiola often colluded with rogue Army officers, and was involved in EVERY coup that ever happened in Nigeria?! Man, talk about double standards! |

chyz: As far as June 12 goes. It was not about democracy, it was about power, money, and influence. Abiola had ties to the military, which he was the funded 2 coups, he was also involved in the back-drop of Liberia with president Doe.He was a businessman that did a lot of evil things and towards the end it was revealed that he was a tribalist. Long story short he was One Of Them i.e. the Elites, not a regular citizen as most NLers. The day you Ibos decide to face the truth instead of feeling the Yourbas are ur mortal enemies thats the day yall salvation will come. The day, u speak the truth, instead of twisting it just cause a Yoruba is the main character, will be the day yall will see the light. Until then, be satisfied being 3rd class citizens in ur own country. Mixed priorities. Psycho aszz niggaz! |

You wonder why the Biafra issue will not die out Perharps the conditions prevalent in the 60s which led to the war has still not been addressed because people like you want to completely erase it and move on right? Maybe you Ibos should apologize for breaking the mold! If ur blood thirsty tribesmen did not start killing every non-Ibo on Jan'15, 1966. there would have been no reason for the Hausas to seek Ibo heads as war trophy; Nigeria would not have been this terrible had ur greedy kinsmen kept their thieving/trigger happy fingers to themselves! |

The only beans I see being spilled is the fact that this old man just admitted that he was a traitor, who fought against his motherland and violated the constitution he swore to uphold as an officer of the Nigerian Army. Oh, more beans I see being spilled is the fact that a self-professed saboteur was not court-martialled and punished accordingly. Just imagine if the Ibos were the Victors (and he was Hausa or Yourba), would he be here boasting about being a "Strike Commando" in the rag-tag Army? |

This topic is way to precious to the hearts of millions of Nigerians like me who see Fajuyi as a HERO to have this guy distract from the topic under discussion. When I argued with Dede to make him see how non-Igbo officers were not really the target of the counter-coupist of the 1960s, he jumps off into a tangent about how those statements have suddenly become a way of promoting Igbos. Somebody give him a life And, who the fuxck r u? Go back and re-read the crap u put up and tell me it wasnt a way of promoting Ibos! |
Politics › Re: Adekunle Fajuyi In Our Hearts by bkbabe97y(m): 12:08pm On Sep 20, 2010 |
MaziUche0: I knew you would reply to that response. You never disappoint me. It was well known at the time, that the Igbos and the Northerners were vying for power within the military. You already know why the coup failed. It was not because it was predominately Igbo officers who led it, but it was because an Igbo man had stopped them. The coup that the Northern officers staged could not be suppressed, because at that time, the whole military became hostile to the Igbo leadership. The military is built on order and following directions of your superiors, you cannot stop a coup if your grunt soldiers wont listen to you.
Igbos DOMINATED almost every aspect of Nigerian society at that time period. All the other groups hated us for that. It not our fault we Igbos can shine on our own hard work without relying on nepotism. Funny how a 22 year old boy knows all of this "first-hand". . . . . The day yall Ibos decide to learn on your own instead of relying on tales told in your village square, that would be the beginning of ur salvation! |

houvest: So sad but I wonder what happened to 197 if 400 out of 697 died of starvation and neglect. It does not add up. Credibility of a story gets questioned when the accuracy of its contents is lacking. However if it is true, it means some people in the federal and state governments are 'chopping' their money as I refuse to believe they were deliberately neglected. Just as our pensioners' and ex servicemen moneys are being mismanaged. These folks doing these things to these veterans and pensioners please have a change of heart. Stop destroying your future and those of your descendants for a mess of pottage. If it is really true that Ojukwu has never visited them Ndigbo should ask him why. The FG group did not go to visit them but went for de-mining so FG folks reading this, please do something. All those who are in position to intervene or assist should do so. Such matters about the less privileged and suffering humanity should come to NL for us to awake our humaneness and assist not to stoke our tribal supremacy ego or cause us to resort to tribal bashing, name calling and abuse. Why should the FG take care of them, they are BIAFRANS, remember? Yall Easterners should learn to take responsibility for once! Same way yall cry that FG/Yorubas should go all the way out East to go take care of Azikiwe's resting place. Wont be surprised when Ojukwu passes away and Ibos demand the Federal Govt give him a State burial! P.S: 697-400= 297. Get your math straight! |
