Sir bellong o, please I need a little clarification to this issue. I finished in 2008 but did my clearance in 2011 and went for service 2012. As a result, my statement of result and certificate bears 2011 but my transcript says 2008/2009. Will this pose an issue with EA or DHA as I want to claim work experience from 2010? Please great people kindly help me out here

Hello and good morning.
My question goes like this; My girl just finished her masters program in the US and has obtained her temporary work permit. We're planning to get married now but I want to know if it's possible to join her after the wedding considering that she's just on a temporary visa, and how long the process would take. Thank you

Bro, Sorry for the delayed response.

The aim of the CPD is to really see how much efforts you have put into developing yourself since you finished your Bachelors Degree and to ensure you have been in the same line with your chosen or nominated field...

I usually advice people to Tabulate a Summary of their CPD and it should include Title/Description/Date/Duration/Venue...

1. List out your Post Graduate Studies or Any type of seminars or conferences that is relevant to your nominated skills

2. List out verified articles or journals you have personally studied as well.

3. you can also list the HSE

4. Also add any undergraduate technical seminar you did

5. I'll advice you list them in a chronological order starting from the most recent

NOTE: You are not expected to submit proof of anything you fill in your CPD (Except you're currently doing a masters program, you'll need to submit your enrolment letter and your most up-to-date transcripts of the M.Eng)

Finally Addressing your current situation, I'll advice you to do a lot of research to get dates and information about past conferences and seminars that took place in Nigeria or at your undergraduate uni. Also search for journals online with texts related to your field. Organise them properly and fill up your CPD.

My Personal advice is to get a minimum of 10 different CPD activities... Cheers bro
Wow thanks my bro. This is really insightful

I've been a religious follower of this thread and this has not been mentioned, please kindly assist. I do not have any professional training to use as CPD, what do I do?

Thanks boss

Yes, only two days.. it is English exam now, WAEC English is way tougher.

For IELTS preparation, this site is good and has everything needed to get a good score.

It is what I used for two days before I wrote my exam.

You mean you prepared for IELTS for just two days, or you've been using other preparatory materials before thenhuh

U dont really need to provide a reference for each career episode. I didnt use for one of mine. And i didnt use a reference I just used my employment letter.
Wow! this is cool, thank you. Asking for for such reference from employers actually sends a red flag
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by BKings: 3:54am On Jul 14, 2016
jukeblam:
Employers' reference is needed for EA if any of the career episodes is based on employment; however, some people are able to write their CDR's fully based on projects done during undergraduate/graduate studies- this is permitted by EA. In such a case, no need to provide employer's reference.
OK, clearer now. Thank you
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by BKings: 3:51am On Jul 14, 2016
bellong:
No, CDR is to demonstrate your competence. You can use example from project, Internship etc that you have done.

This is where Engineer Australia is good compared to others who use only paid work experience.
Sorry bellong, just seeing your response. So assuming one of my CDRs is based on whatI currently do in my present job, you mean I don't need prove to them that I'mreally workingin thecoy as I claim, except I want to claim points fromit?

Hello Jukebalm. I thought the purpose of CDR is to demonstrate your work experience, or are there CDRs that don't focus on experience? I'm asking because you said employer's reference is not needed if the CDR is not based on work experience. Please kindly explain thanks

I don't think you can defer twice tho. Mine was deferred once, told them I needed time to process my visa and all. I actually submitted at teleperformance on Friday to make sure I get my SVP. But you can try with the advice of your agency. Reapplying might take a whole new procedure due to the new policy starting July 1st. My agency told me schools are now more careful to give out offers now. I don't know their reasons, but they require lots of documents and evidences this time around, and it might take time. But if I may ask, why would you want them to defer for you again?
Because its already late to start processing payment of school fees now for July intake. I regret not paying it earlier.

By God's grace, you will get a miracle. But for every other person, let's try to learn our lesson from this. It is advisable to pay early to avoid issues like this. My resumption date is still February, 2017. I paid my tuition since January this year. Though all fingers are not equal, but I'm sure we can try to avoid the rush. Collected my COE months ago. Just chilling now, will decide when to apply for visa. Cos I have plenty of time. Time is money pals
Is it really possible? I thought they said six months maximum. In that case let me start re-applying naw or is it possible to defer an offer twice? Anybody knows?

That response was for him and him alone. EOIs are ranked according to scores. This means someone with 65 points will be invited before another with 60 points. Different occupations have their own cutoff points. For someone who nominated accounting, 60 points will not be sufficient to get a nomination in 7 months because it is already pro-rata. Most people gave scores above 60. I merely stated that he is likely to be invited BEFORE November when he will drop from 65 points to 60 points. It doesn't mean he will be invited in November
Chai. And am even thinking of hustling up tho 20 points from English test to make a60. Since my chances are limited with 60 pointa for 189, will I get an advantage of I should aim 190 with the 60points. Is anything like that possible?
Big Congratulations Akinnawou on your PTE score and your outcome. That was a wonderful score! You get 20 points.

First and foremost, one good thing about your outcome is your education is assessed as equivalent to Bachelors degree under the AQF so you are entitled to 15 points.

Secondly, you cannot use this outcome letter to apply as a Professional Engineer, rather, you can apply as an Engineering Technologist Anzsco code 233914 on the SOL.

With regard to your age, you get 30 points until November 2016. Since you have 65 points in your kitty, you will most likely get invited before November.

When filling your EOI your points will be calculated for you. The sooner you apply the better. Congrats again. I'm glad I could be of help. @scrollmeout November is seven months away, why that far. Also, does being invited have something to do with a super point? I thought once you hit the 60 point benchmark, you are s good as someone with 65 or more points
