Hello All,

Have been making research about Australia, living and surviving, geting PR after studies, etc and came accross this thread. I must say you guyz ar doing amazing job.

I hav my own delima and wil like those studying and or living in australia to profer some advices. But first;

I wish to shear my own testimony, got my visa grant last week thursday 572 advance diploma, my college is in sydney.....now my queries:

I am suporting myself in this whole quest to acquire australia education with the ultimate goal of geting PR. I hv a girl frnd we hv known each other for the past 5 yrs now..tho no family introduction on both side as at yet. I did not include her in my visa application but now she wishes to travel wit me (on her own she has roughly 1M).
I am thinkin Weda to hv a court marriage wit her so i can apply for her spouse visa... Tho stil intend to keep families out of it cox my family wont advice that right now, they will rather say go first and and worry about her leta.

My major concern is since am targetin to get PR after studies, incase am not able to get PR with post study visa probably due to changes in immigration rule, job availability etc..I might hv an option of getting married to a PR/citizen as an alternativ route (but wit her in the picture this last option is close)

Please my ppl am really confused here....should i go along with her or hav her wait till I hv residency? Wil she be of any disadvantage to me over there regards to my PR inview?

P:S We started datin from school 2010 to date. After school she moved back to her family in nasarawa where she works (waitress in an eatries) while i work live in lagos..

Please is academic IELTS computer based or the exam questions are on paper.I mean for the reading and writing part.and also is the answer sheet on paper or on the computer.

Nobody cares if it is Nysc or not except if you decide to shoot yourself on the foot by stating it clearly in your application. Any work experience you get after studies(after the date on your Bachelor degrees certificate) can be used to gather point as long as your assessing body recognizes your qualification and sees your experience as relevant.

well I used diploma in science lab tech, waec, Ielts, and other academics docs but u will need to use pfl as their agent . I opted for tafesa( aged care+nursing) already lodged visa application.

Please how long does it take for COE to come out. I have applied to Unity College Canberra,I have submitted IELTS and all documents then paid application fee since 1st Feb yet i havent heard from them. I need their response to begin the Visa processing as skul begins Jul 15th. The waiting is killing me

Applied Jan 27, against Feb 2 resumption CO requested for extension letter from my educational provider, bcoz of time frame school diferred me to July 15.
My CO repplied that my visa will b finalised 4 months prio to my resumption date which is march 18.

God is truelly residing in OZ.... We shall recieve our heavenly blessing in that fruitful country.

SO HAPPY oooo

Bros I just wan help you, no ever try Papua New Guinea ever. Papua New Guinea is not a country on its own, it is currently part of Indonesia and extremely poor, they themselves crave Australian visa. They are fighting for their freedom and presently Benny Wenda is in South Africa campaigning for global support. Unless you are freedom fighter, no try am.

7 days in stralia and counting. For student touching down u have to first get ur tax file number if u need a job bad bad. I have applied for mine already on the first day. Buy Lycamobile (19 dolls prr month all calls and text to oz) if u no too dey call niaja. If ur the home sick type u should buy lebera as its 3cents to call Naija per minute. As for house please avoid agent because Na better wahala dem be. Look for landlord. They r more reasonable. Depending on where u stay motto na neccesity. If ur in Queensland Brisbane. for a guy focus on factory jab/general labourer. At least I don c like 5 Naija boys dey pay school fees. ( disclaimer "all na based according to wetin dem talk" survival on d hussle is possible.

Met a friendly Indian guy today. My friends neighbour. Drove his car to go grab a pizza. He works as a manager for aged care facility. He said age care is selling madly in Queensland. So as a part time job I cud earn 20 to 25 dolls per hour with regular shifts. Also met a a Gambian guy who just graduated from QUT. He does security part time and earns 30dolls/hr.

My prognosis so far so good> coming to oz is not a bad idea. With proper networking and hussle u go make am. In all things just make sure u are a good ambassador so that market no go spoil for impending new comers.

As a Nairaland ambassador to Australia Na only the truth and nothing but the truth I go yarn. Husssle fit pay. If u get wife or babe wey u wan marry package her come. Ur combined income can top 60k USD before tax per year depending where u get job. Yeah one more thing masters in gradschool isnt as diifficult or stressful as yankee or canada. Oz Na the way forward.

Good morning guys,

Visa subclass 573 granted to my brother. Application date: February 4, Date of Receipt of Application at Pretoria: Feb 11, grant date: Feb 18, Medicals: front loaded.

PS: he didn't use English Language Test. His Uni cleared him based on the fact that his OND was taught in English, his COE contained 'English Language Test - Pass, Test Type: Other'. I mentioned this because this was the subject of much debate and we were quite worried before Futuredon put our mind to rest.
