Claimed customs duties to the tune of over 150k. He was dissatisfied and challenged them in court. The court held that the plaintiff had proved that the laptop bag was his personal effect and for his personal use and that before the NCS could charge customs duty on the said bag..

They had to prove it was intended for commercial use. NCS was ordered to refund his over 150k paid as customs duties & to pay 5 million naira in damages. All those high-handed customs officials that harass travellers over personal items found in their bags should please take note.

GOVERNOR OBIANO VISITS BRIDGE HEAD ONISTHA EXPRESSES DISSATISFACTION AT COMPLIANCE

Governor Willie Obiano has expressed dissatisfaction at the low level of compliance at Anambra Bridgehead boundary, Onitsha.

Governor Obiano made the expression when he paid a surprise visit to the bridge.

On arrival, there was a long queue of human and vehicular movement, most people, without face masks and unmindful of the social distance protocol.

The Governor who was visibly angry, directed the Police Commissioner to block the two ends, to reduce human and vehicular traffic.

The State Police Commissioner, Mr John Abang, Commissioner for Transport, Dr Christian Madubuko, and other members of the COVID-19 Committee, were also present.

Recall that during his last broadcast, Governor Obiano announced a shutdown of all boundaries in the State, with exception of essential service providers.

A 47-year-old man identified as Uchenna Egbuchulem has been arrested by the Imo state police command for allegedly impregnating his biological daughter.

The suspect was arrested at Nduhu Alaenyi Ogwa in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state on May 12, following a complaint filed by a good Samaritan at the Divisional Police hqrs in Mbaitoli.

The victim identified as 17-year-old Adaku Egbuchulem was left in the custody of her father as an infant after her Ivorian mother returned to her country following the end of her marriage to Egbuchulem.

It was learnt that the randy father has been taking advantage of his daughter and threatening to kill her with a machete if she tells anyone.

Imo state's police spokesperson, Ikeokwu Orlando confirmed the incident and further disclosed that the suspect will be charged to court at the end of investigation.

Bukola Saraki, former Senate President has reacted to the appointment of Ibrahim Gambari as President Muhammadu Buhari’s new Chief of Staff.

Buhari on Wednesday announced Professor Agboola Ibrahim Gambari as his new Chief of Staff.

The President made the announcement at Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting in Abuja.

Gambari who hails from Kwara State replaced the late Abba Kyari who died on Tuesday, May 12.

Reacting, Saraki took to his official Twitter page to congratulate the new Chief of Staff.

The former Senate President described Gambari as a disciplined diplomat who will do well on the job.

His tweet reads: “I congratulate Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari on his appointment as Chief of Staff to President @MBuhari. Professor Gambari is a decent man, a cerebral academic, disciplined diplomat, and he is coming in with the necessary pedigree that will help him to do well on the job.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar , reacting on his Twitter page also congratulated Gambari, expressing optimism that he will deploy his skills to serve Nigeria.

He wrote: “Congratulations Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, CFR on your appointment as Chief of Staff to @MBuhari.

“It is my hope and expectation and those of millions of Nigerians that you will deploy your varied skills garnered over the years in the service of our nation.“

Odumeje: Remembering the days and times of Eddie Okeke (Eddy na Nawgu) – his rise and fall.

Nigerians are very funny set of people mostly those from the South, they have been reaped apart with Christianity and religion, hence miracle, signs and wonders are obtainable, they lose sense of proper reasoning and good judgment.

The most effective trick to con these people with, is the mention of an Unknown God and quotes from the holy Bible, heal the sick and perform wonders (either stage managed or use of metaphysical powers) they already dub you the Moses or Elijah of their generation.

The human mind me forget very quick, but history can’t be erased.

You remember the famous Eddy Nawgu an acclaimed prophet of God who began his sojourn of human sacrifice, crime and anarchy as people thought him a charismatic religious leader, due to his claims of being a prophet called by God Almighty to serve in his Vineyard; he started growing his followership to a good percentage as it seemed the Prophet truly had powers as tales of how he had enriched and bettered the lives of various individuals began to spread.

Eddy soon became famous and very dreaded religiously, he was the man of the moment back then in the late 90’s – he performed many signs and wonders to the much expectations of his followers who had come to either obtain miracles, healings and other financial breakthrough.

Eddy, who was nick named “Alusi na eje ụka” claimed he had been touched by the Biblical God and was given the ability to see and perceive what the ordinary human eye or other four senses could not intercept.

Not too long, his ministry boomed, he built a church-like structure and named it Anioma Healing Centre and claimed that the reasons for calling the structure “Anioma Healing Centre” was to heal the sick people in the community and restore hope to people who had thought previously that their existence on earth was meaningless and was without bearing and touch of hope.

Eddy reigned, performed many miracles, signs and wonders too and grew soldiers who would sacrifice anything for him, he was more like a god in all parts of Anambra State and beyond; His followers became so much a believer of anything “EDDY” and you dare not question them nor talk them out. Eddy Nawgu won thousands (if not million of souls) whilst this ministry lasted.

He became very famous and powerful that his disciples and acolytes was everywhere in Nigeria, people from within and outside Anambra State would always visit his “Anioma Healing Centre” for various prayers requests and rituals in what they believed to be in the name of the Christian God.

In early 2000, the self acclaimed prophet of God become a person of interest in numerous crimes committed not only in his native community of Nawgu in Dunukofia Local Government Area, but across Anambra State. Eddy was said to have had his kith and kin partake in various crimes that held the state down and hostage at that time.

The anarchy in the state deepened which led to the formation of the famous Bakasi Boys by the administration of Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju; The said Bakassi Boys weren’t like any other vigilante group because they supposedly harnessed very great metaphysical powers to aid them in intercepting thieves and law breakers at large.

Eddy Nawgu was later accused of kidnapping, aiding and abetting infamous criminals, partaking in rituals involving use of human body parts, illegal possession of firearms and human sacrifice, through the countless and rugged efforts of these Bakassi boys; that alone took him to the top of their most wanted list.

The Bakassi Boys who had been credited for being able to apprehend every defaulter of the law with minimal effort due to their supposed local charms then struggled to properly make their charms work on Eddy so as to have evidences to proof that his guilty of the many accusations, he was so powerful and dreaded that the local vigilantes (Bakassi boys) had come to meet their match metaphysically.

Every attempts of the Bakassi to capture nor prove that Eddy was guilty was abortive for thirteen (13) solid encounters.

Eddy Nawgu continued to terrorise Onitsha and Anambra State, exposing the state to numerous insecurity; kidnapping became a norm while residents of the cities sleep with both eyes wide open. His chunk of followers and worshipers tripled believing cowardly and Vaingloriously in his metaphysical signs and wonders in the name of a prophet of God, even when the Bakassi boys had accused him of so many interest in crime, his gullible, demented and myopic members denied it all and claimed he was a prophet sent by God.

After many failed attempts by the Bakassi boys to capture Eddy Nawgu, they thought it wise to invite their supreme leader, Ngwuro to help in the capture of Eddy which they believed would put an end to the crimes in the State.

The intervention from their leader who managed to strip the dreaded Eddy of his alleged mystic powers and abilities to teleport from one location to the other, and orchestrated the capture of the self-proclaimed prophet of God who later made startling confessions and acknowledged he was guilty of human sacrifice and all the crimes he was accused of.

The number of people Eddy Nawgu killed according to his confession was a total of 93 persons; the so called prophet and man of God who performed many signs and wonders, healed and inflicted many sickness.

Most of his members, followers and soldiers were caught in awe – as many still disagreed and went on to make numerous claims against the Bakassi Boys.

After his confessions which shook most parts of the Nation and finally restored peace to the once troubled Anambra State, he was beheaded and had other parts of his body cut in little pieces by the Bakassi Boys after which all the parts were gathered together and was set ablaze at the Ochanja Market.

Eddy Nawgu misled many and destroyed numerous lives who believed in him proclaiming to be a prophet of God during his days.

Subsequently, many have refused to learn from the life and times of Eddie Okeke, (Eddy Nawgu) there have been many careless and callous con men more dangerous than Eddy in the shield of prophets of God, hence they can perform signs and wonders, give riches to their selected members and better the lives of those who’d go extra miles.

The comic and careless Odumeje who hails from Imo State but based in Onitsha has continued to reflect the life of Eddy Nawgu, yet his followers have been brainwashed like that Eddy’s followers; you dare not approach his members with common sense, possibly because of the rich he decorated most with.

Following Odumeje has further translate to losing sense of reasoning and believe anything if not everything that the proclaimed Prophet of God pops; despite his style not being akin to Christianity, his followers would go any length to defend him or Better still ask you to mind you business as if religious belief now settles as a business venture.

They are the nicest idiots on planet earth, Odumeje tales on how he enriches his ardent followers, the romance with Nollywood actors, and his many tomfoolery, has allowed him grow his followers.

I beg to differ, Odumeje like Eddy has nothing to do with the calling of God Almighty whom the true Christians worship but may be the reincarnation of Eddy Nawgu whom many said is his in law, that I’m yet to properly confirm.

The main difference between General Buhari and Nasir El-Rufai, is that one of them is often short of words, while the other is regularly short in height. Other than that, there is no significant difference between the two of them. Sorrow, tears and blood follows one, just as much as it follows the other.
When I look at the first family of Kaduna state, I am appalled that people of such pedigree can be called Your Excellency. What is excellent about Nasir El-Rufai and his family? It is more accurate to refer to them as Your Repugnancy!

The family is a picture of a satanic Trinity.

A father who insulted Christ our Lord and Saviour on January 28, 2013
A son who threatened to gang rape someone’s mother on April 12, 2020
A mother who justified her son’s behaviour as fair on the same day!


What a family!

Imagine if I had made such a sacrilegious ‘joke’ about prophet Mohammed (SAW), and Khadija (Mother of the believers). Nigeria would have burned. Lives would have been lost. Properties would have been destroyed. And myself? Well, let us say that Salman Rushdie and I would have become colleagues for something else apart from just being authors.

Nasir El-Rufai cannot deny that, like his son, he has such tendencies. I still have an email he sent to me in which Southern women were described as “whores”. If he sues me, I will provide the email in court. El-Rufai knows me. I am a meticulous record keeper.

Looking at his son’s behaviour, it is evident that the apple did not fall far from the tree. This is not even the first time a younger El-Rufai publicly exhibited bigotry against the Igbos.

On April 23, 2019, another of Nasir El-Rufai’s sons, by name Bashir El-Rufai, said on Twitter, and I quote:

“A segment of a nation undertook a coup and killed other regional leaders with so much disrespect & expected peace and acquiescence thereafter. Then attempt to make history solely define it as revenge when same was done to them. It was revenge & it was sweet. The North remembers.”

Let me just say that if Nasir El-Rufai ever becomes Nigeria’s President, what the Igbo nation is suffering under General Buhari will be child’s play. Under Buhari, at least it is 97% versus 5%. Under an El-Rufai, it will be 100% versus 0%!

This is, after all, a man who publicly threatened Nigerian soldiers of revenge if they as much kill a single herdsman in defence of innocent and helpless Nigerian citizens in Plateau. If you feel Femi Adesina’s “giving land for ranching is better than death” is bad, pray not to be in Nigeria if El-Rufai schemes his way to the Presidency.

And do not kid yourself. With the death of Nasir El-Rufai’s kill and take the head of the enemy, Abba Kyari, the possibility of an El-Rufai Presidency is more likely. The hatred Nigerians have for Kyari blinded the nation to the fact that El-Rufai condoled with Buhari, not with Kyari’s family!

Nigerians do not know how Machiavellian Nasir El-Rufai is. This is a man who openly celebrated on May 6, 2010 when it became known that former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua had died. Once you are El-Rufai’s real or imagined enemy, even death cannot save you from his vitriol.

To all those who would like to rush to El-Rufai’s defence when he and his family are being exposed as the Igbo hating horde that they are, I refer you to Oby Ezekwesili. When they have finished using you, they will publicly expose you as a ‘beggar with receipt’!

Before El-Rufai’s son can be bold enough to publicly insult Oby Ezekwesili as a ‘beggar with receipt’ think about the evidence they may have in the form of receipts, photographs, BVN transactions, and possibly CCTV footage, à la Farouk Lawan and Femi Otedola cap banking. Why do you think the notoriously garrulous Oby has been so quiet since that revelation?

And to those foolish enough to think that the Igbo hatred of the El-Rufai clan does not concern them because they are not Igbo, I have got news for you: The fellow whose mother the young man threatened to gang rape is not Igbo. In their eyes, anyone from the Southeast/SouthSouth and certain sections of the Middle Belt is Igbo! Nigeria needs true federalism to protect minorities from the likes of the El-Rufai clan.

What Audu Maikori was accused of doing (which he did erroneously, and apologised for it when he realised the truth) is not up to what the El-Rufai clan have done. Yet, Audu was charged to court by the same people who supported the hate speech law, while spewing hate speech against Igbos!

Nigerians do not seem to understand the mentality of this clan. They actually believe as the mother said, that “all is fair in love and war”. Their level of Machiavellian calculation is so well-honed. To them, the end justifies the means.

Rules? Are you joking? Do you expect a man who admitted to giving money to herdsmen to get them to stop killing Kaduna people to play by the rules? Have you not heard that if you must dine with the devil, you should use a very long spoon? I take that back. There is no spoon on Earth long enough to dine with El-Rufai.

I saw one of El-Rufai’s Igbo acolytes tweeting that El-Rufai and his family are not anti-Igbo and that if El-Rufai comes to power, he will help Ndi’Igbo. I laughed! That ‘help’ will be like Chinese doctors that came to help Nigeria, only for Corona Virus deaths to increase!

To any Igbo who, like Oby Ezekwesili, is foolish enough to sabotage the aspirations of their people for characters like El-Rufai, I recommend Joe Igbokwe to you. After they have used you to rubbish your people, they will give you SA on Gutter Matters, and you will slowly fade away into the sewers of obscurity. Shame will make you pretend that you enjoy the job. Meanwhile, even their children will laugh at you at your back, and to your face, they will hold their nose to block out the gutter smell emanating from your SA official car!

It is better to be an Ebitu Ukiwe, than a bootlicker like Oby Ezekwesili, Rotimi Amaechi, Joe Igbokwe, Osita Okechukwu and their ilk. Ebitu chose to step aside rather than take ** from Abacha! It is better to fall like a man than stand up as a slave!

Nigeria cannot stand another term of Buhari-like maladministration, and that is what will happen if the man who calls himself magajin Buhari ever gets to power. The scheming is real, and Nasir El-Rufai is a man you underestimate at your peril.

If he and his family can be so full of themselves, so arrogant, so brazen in their bigotry and tribalism, and so in your face about their lack of concern for the feelings of certain sections of the nation, when they are not yet at Aso Rock, then imagine what they will be like if they ever smell Presidential power?

I shudder at the thought. Ruga, cattle colony, brazen Northernisation, and the finishing of the “revenge”, which his son, Bashir, described as “sweet”, will be the order of the day. And when we all complain, the third person of their evil Trinity will be there to tell us that “all is fair in love and war”. A war that we thought ended on January 15, 1970, but which still goes on in the minds of the El-Rufais.

Coronavirus: Our Index Case has recovered and thereby discharged

A Special Broadcast on Covid-19 by the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 to Update Ndi Anambra on the Latest Development.

Ndi Anambra, I am here to give you an update you on our fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Anambra State.

In my last address to you on Saturdy April 18, 2020, I informed you that the first post treatment test of the Covid-19 Index Case in Anambra State had returned negative. Today, I am delighted to tell you that the second test on our Index Case has also returned negative. Following the NCDC protocol on Covid-19, therefore, I have asked the Commissioner of Health to discharge him from our Protective Care Center. We have also made some arrangements to decontaminate his home to ensure that there is no further incident.

Update on Contact Tracing:

Following the good news we have received on our Index Case, we have submitted the samples of the 36 remaining people that had direct contact with him for testing. This is to ensure that we do not leave any loopholes in our fight against this pandemic. I will keep you posted on the outcome of the tests once the results are out.

Re-Strengthening our Strategies against Covid-19:

Ndi Anambra, I must commend your resilience, your patience and your cooperation so far in this fight against Coronavirus. However, the danger is not over yet. I count on your support and commitment as we race to the finishing line. To ensure that we are firmly on track, here are the things we must pay attention to –

 All our boundaries with neighbouring states remain completely closed. Only people on essential services and haulage trucks with essential commodities are allowed passage after a stringent check and confirmation by the security personnel at the boundaries.

 From today onwards, it has become compulsory to wear a face mask in Anambra State. Anyone who is seen outside his home without a face mask shall be guilty of breaking the Anambra State Protocol on Covid-19. This principle shall be enforced by all Traditional rulers, Religious Leaders, the Presidents General, Women Leaders, Market Association Leaders, Youth Association Leaders and every community leader that has influence on our people. We encourage our people to make their own masks to ensure availability of masks. However, polyester and polythene materials must not be used in making masks.

 Food markets in Anambra State are to open only on Tuesdays and Fridays. Traders and customers in these markets must always maintain the principles of Social Distancing during the transaction process.

 The wholesale medical drug market (Ndi Ogbo Ogwu) in Onitsha is permitted to open only on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please note that any stores/shops located in the markets not dealing on food items or medical drugs remain closed. The security agents have been directed to ensure a rigorous enforcement.

 Transport operators, banks and other businesses are expected to assist in the enforcement of Mask Wearing by insisting that their customers wear a mask as a pre-condition for service.

 All intercity/intra-community transits remain closed.

 All motor parks in the State remain closed.

 We also encourage our people to maintain the globally accepted Covid-19 protocol of regular hand-washing, regular use of hand-sanitizers and other social-distancing rules that I have repeatedly communicated in my previous addresses.

During my last address on 5th April 2020, I mentioned that this was an error in advanced technology. It is all about error. That nature is involved can be no excuse, as this has led to the deaths of many innocent people all over the world. It is an attack on the nature of God – the air. Thank God that nature is fighting back; nature is eliminating it in its own way. It is getting to its peak and is coming down. Naturally, it will go the way it came.

This is one of the things the Bible says will happen in the end time – perilous seasons when fear will rule the land. As I said, I see it as an error in advanced technology. In the nearest future, expect this kind of error – in retaliation. Let us pray to avert this. In all, it is coming to an end!

I didn't hear anything like; more investigations to be done, Talk with the mother and family and the commissioner of police on enforcing lock down, harassment and extrajudicial killings. At least hear both sides, address issues, and comfort the bereaved.

You said you will take the burial cost. How? When You've not spoken with Mama Ebuka.�

Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has announced that the COVID-19 Index Case in the state, which has remained the only, has tested negative to the ailment.

The state registered its index case of the virus last Friday, while about 29 persons who had contacts with him were also quarantined.

But Obiano in a special broadcast to citizens of the state on Saturday said the index Case, after one week of treatment, has tested negative and would be discharged after one more test.

Obiano said, “One week ago, I announced to you that our dear state had recorded an Index-Case of the COVID-19 pandemic that has forced the world to a standstill in the past few months.

“Today, I am delighted to announce that the report reaching me from the Protective Care Center indicates that our Index Case is responding very well to treatment. In fact, the first post-treatment result from the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) returned Negative for SARS-CoV 2.

“However, following the standards which have been rigorously applied by NCDC since the outbreak of the pandemic in Nigeria, he will go for a second round of tests before he can be conclusively declared negative. We shall continue to remember him in our prayers as he fights his way back from this illness.”

The governor added that “As I assured in my last broadcast, our medical team has successfully tracked 39 people who had direct contact with the Index Case. Out of this number, 5 are in our Protective Care Center while the rest are quarantined at home.

“The people in our Protective Care Center are stable and have shown no symptoms of the virus so far. Similarly, the people in Home Quarantine are being closely monitored in strict compliance with the WHO guidelines on COVID-19 containment.

“Meanwhile, six people out of the 39 contacts have tested negative for Coronavirus. These are people who met directly with the Index Case 14 days ago. Ndi Anambra, this is something to be cheerful about.

“Similarly, out of 20 samples tested for the virus from Anambra State so far, only the Index Case returned Positive. The rest are negative. Ndi Anambra, this result gives us enough elbow room to fight this monster by adhering to the principles of Social Distancing, maintaining thorough personal hygiene and obeying government directives and policies on the COVID-19 pandemic. I have no doubt that if we keep the rules, we shall be in a good position to kick COVID-19 out of our dear state.”

This is also in fulfilment of its N5 billion commitment made by the UBA Group Chairman, Mr. Tony O. Elumelu, last week.
