Terry Waya huh ??

If Terry is hovering around Buhari, then the war on corruption is over before it even began.

Terry Waya was the Chief Facilitator of movement of funds along with likes of current NFF President Amaju Pinnick for Chief James Ibori, Modu Sherrif, Akume, Orji Uzor Kalu, etc during their tenure as state governors.

He organised wild parties and shipped girls to London and Dubai for the cavorting governors and political figures.
He has a permanent suite at Eko Hotel. In fact Terry Waya essentially lives in Eko Hotel. You can check out these facts.

PhonesAirtel Unveils 3-in-1 SIM Card by blackfase(op): 12:15pm On Jul 14, 2015
Airtel Nigeria has introduced a 3-in-1 SIM card, which enables customers switch from one SIM to another.
The new SIM card, also known as Airtel Smart SIM, comprises all three SIM card sizes: Micro, Standard and Nano, and is aimed at making it convenient for customers to switch devices without having to get a new, different-sized SIM.
Speaking on the product, the Chief Commercial Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Maurice Newa, said, “This is another innovative product, which clearly underlines Airtel’s promise to provide cutting edge solutions to meet the evolving demands of its customers.”
He said, “The Smart SIM is the first of its kind in Nigeria and it provides the smartphone user the freedom to switch devices and retain the same SIM card. With this new SIM package, which costs N300, customers will no longer need to cut their SIM cards when they change their mobile device.”
Newa said that in contrast to the existing 64kb cards, the new card comes in 128kb, which offers more capacity and additional space for customers to store more contact and SMS.
“In addition, customers who purchase the new SIM cards will be able to access the Celltick applet, a value-added service that displays live content and marketing messages on the home screen when phone is idle. Customers can subscribe to the content by clicking on the messages displayed on phone screen,” he added.
Meanwhile, Airtel Nigeria has introduced a new roaming service that will enable its customers to receive unlimited free incoming calls when roaming in five major countries across five continents.
With the introduction of the service, tagged ‘SmartROAM’, Airtel customers travelling to the United Kingdom, United States of America, United Arab Emirates, South Africa and Saudi Arabia will be able to receive calls free when they roam on preferred partner networks in these countries.
Newa said that the strategic focus of the new roaming service was to ensure a convenient and seamless communication experience for customers when they travelled abroad.
He said, “A good number of Nigerians miss important calls while abroad, but with the SmartROAM service, roaming has been made simpler and affordable such that our customers’ lines will always stay on, while they are abroad.”
He said, “We are always committed to delivering exceptional experience to our customers and the thrust of this initiative is to bring easy and affordable roaming to our customers who travel to any of these five countries.”
Newa further explained that the service would be available when roaming on the following networks: Zain in Saudi Arabia; Cell C and Vodacom in South Africa; Orange and Vodafone in the UK, AT&T in the USA and Etisalat in the UAE, adding that more networks would be included in the nearest future.

PoliticsWhats The Problem With Some Nigerian Abo.kis? by blackfase(op): 9:20am On Jul 12, 2015
Nigerian muslims have kicked against heightened searches conducted on women wearing Islamic dresses by security men.
Muslims who spoke to newsmen this weekend cautioned security agencies against frisking Muslim women dressed in hijab and burka, adding that such an action would amount to profiling them.
Wikipedia describes the hijab as a “veil that covers the head and chest, which is often worn by Muslim women beyond the age of puberty in the presence of adult males outside of their immediate family as a form of modest attire.”
Other dresses worn by Muslim women as a religious duty are the niqab, which only leaves the area around the eyes open and the burka which is a dress that covers all parts of the body leaving just a mesh over the eyes.
Nigeria’s neighbour, Chad – which is also part of the multinational joint task force – banned women from wearing hijab both in private and public places, following two suicide bomb attacks. The hijab was also banned in public places in Congo-Brazzaville, to counter terrorism in May.
It was gathered that due to the rising cases of Boko Haram female suicide bombers hiding explosives beneath the Islamic dress, Nigeria’s security agents in the North have also begun to search women who wear Islamic dresses for bombs.
Last year, there were about 10 cases of female suicide bombers who used the Islamic dress to conceal explosives in parts of the North. This year there have also been similar cases recorded in some parts of the country.
In May, a 10 year-old girl detonated a bomb concealed under her religious veil killing five and injuring many others at Bayan Tasha motor park in Damaturu, Yobe State.
Two months earlier, in February, two hijab-wearing women said to be in their late 20s in Yobe State killed two people when they detonated explosive devices hidden beneath their clothings.
On February 11, in Borno State, another female suicide bomber in a burka attacked a crowded market, killing seven people and seriously injuring 20 others.
Prior to the February suicide bombing, a girl believed to be no more than 10 years old detonated explosives hidden under her burka at a crowded Maiduguri Monday market, killing 20 people and wounding many more in January.
The UNICEF child protection specialist Laurent Dutordoir, had last month, noted that female suicide bombers were on the increase in Nigeria.
Following this development, the army and the police had deployed more female operatives for the purpose of frisking women wearing hijabs especially in states where Boko Haram have attacked more than once.
A top military official however confirmed the new security procedure.
He said, “In a particular community, the women were asked to use the type of hijab worn by female youth corps members. It covers only the head and part of the face, but this was rejected by the people, saying it was an attempt to prevent them from practising their religion.
“Now, we ask the female agents on duty to ask anyone wearing hijab to raise up the cloth from afar so that they can see if they have anything under the covering and anyone that fails to obey will be arrested.”
The Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Abayomi Shogunle, told newsmen that women who wore the hijab were only searched by female security agents because of the religious and cultural beliefs prevalent in the region.
He said, “More female policewomen have been deployed to participate in security operations that would involve the searching of women, because of the religious and cultural beliefs of the (Northern) region.
“Women wearing hijab don’t constitute a security threat. The Nigerian constitution guarantees freedom of religion and dressing. Our officers serving in the states prone to terrorism are aware of the modus operandi of the insurgents and they know what to look out for.”
The police spokesperson said though policemen face threats on a daily basis, they knew the mode of operation of terrorists.
He said, “Recently in Kano a female terrorist wearing a hijab was trying to mingle with people entering the mosque, but the officers there were able to identify her and fish her out.
“The same thing happened again in Kano when a hijab-wearing female attempted to enter a school and she was prevented from entering the school to carry out her deadly mission. The policemen on duty knew she was not coming on a good mission, so they stopped her from entering the school and she was forced to detonate her bombs outside the premises.”
But Muslim leaders who spoke to journalist flayed the security procedure. JNI Secretary-General, Dr. Abubakar Aliyu-Khalid told one of our correspondents that frisking hijab-wearing females would not solve the problem of terrorism.
“We are not comfortable with the security arrangement. There should not be separate laws for Muslims and other religion adherents. Solving problems in Nigeria is like scratching the surface. We do not support the fact that Muslim women should be singled out for this action. It is known that some of the people who carry out these suicide bomb attacks are not even Muslims,” he said.
Similarly, the Convener, Muslim Rights Concern and Professor of Islamic Eschatology at the Lagos State University, Professor Ishaq Akintola, said the Muslim community was against the search of women wearing hijab.
Akintola said, “It will amount to profiling Muslim women. The repercussion will even be graver than we ever expected. Already, the Nigeria elite are discriminating against Muslim women and Muslims generally. Muslims have the right to dress the way they like. Let the security agencies do their work; they know what to do. There is deep intelligence. They should nip conspiracy and plots to bomb in the bud.
“Where they (Boko Haram) are making the bombs, get them there. Those who are behind making the bombs, get them. Those who finance them, pick them. You don’t infringe on civil rights. Boko Haram or no Boko Haram, people should dress the way Allah has instructed them.”
In the same vein, the Executive Secretary of Muslim Ummah of South-West of Nigeria, Professor Dawud Noibi, told one of our correspondents that singling out hijab-wearing women was wrong.
He said, “It would be wrong for the army or the police to single out Muslim women who wear hijab for security search simply because the Boko Haram insurgents use a similar mode of dressing to carry out their suicide bomb attacks. It will be wrong to target only Muslim women. That will also mean that (all) Muslim women wearing the hijab are suspected suicide bomber. It will also be against the ethics of the police and other uniformed security agencies to use men to search women.”
Muslims spread across the country also spoke against the frisking of women in hijab. One of them, Azeez Olasupo, said such move was tantamount to denying the Muslim women their right to freedom.
Olasupo stated, ‘‘I condemn in totality the action of the police. Nigerian security agents are not that civilised to know how to handle Muslim women.”
Another Muslim, Adullahi Jika also said, “That some of the bombers wore hijab does not mean that every woman wearing hijab is a bomber. The government should find a solution to the insecurity and not disturb women wearing hijab.”
But the Christian Association of Nigeria, the umbrella body of Nigerian Christians insisted that hijab-wearing women be searched.
The General Secretary of CAN, Reverend Musa Asake, told newsmen that Muslims must understand the new trend in the war against Boko Haram.
Asake said, “If some people are misusing it, then, there should be a restriction as to where to use it. If you are trying to compare it with Catholic nuns, have you ever caught a Catholic nun with a bomb? Has a Catholic nun ever bombed anybody anywhere? Hijab is not something new and has anybody ever challenged it? It is until this thing (suicide bombing) started happening. This is what we are saying; it is for our security.”
PoliticsLamido Hinges Travails On 2019 by blackfase(op): 9:13am On Jul 12, 2015
After spending 3 days with his two sons in Kano Central Prison, immediate past governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has imputed political motives to his incarceration.
According to the former governor, he is being persecuted by those who feel that they would not be able to actualise their presidential ambition with him around the political arena.
Lamido, who spoke with newsmen through his media aide, Umar Kyari, yesterday, drew the attention of Nigerians and the international community to the attempt being made by those he called “my political enemies” to silence him using the instrumentality of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Lamido pointed out that it was clear from the outset that there was a grand design to put him away in prison for a long time under the guise of money laundering and sundry charges so as to pave the way for his political enemies to have their way.
The former governor, whose many supporters relocated to the Kano Central Prison where they kept vigil over him and his two sons, said he was determined to prove to Nigerians that he was innocent but was merely being witch-hunted by those who feel threatened by his rising political profile.
Lamido-in-prisonLamido’s spokesman said: “This current effort to frame and denigrate the former governor of Jigawa State with a view to rubbishing his high performance in office will come to naught at the end of the day.
“Lamido remains nothing but a scion of accountability and integrity who has always fought on the side of the people, particularly the downtrodden and the vulnerable, since he came into the national political scene.
“He remains unshaken over the trumped-up charges slammed on him by the EFCC knowing that he has not committed any offense to warrant being thrown into the prison over a bailable offense.
“But the refusal by his traducers to grant him and his sons bail when others charged same day and time for even more grievous offences were admitted to bail speaks volume of the intention and mindset of those who are after him.
“Nonetheless, Sule Lamido strongly believes that, after being imprisoned several times all in a bid to pave the way for sustained democracy in Nigeria, the current effort by the EFCC and others to humiliate him and his family over the so-called money laundering charges will not break his resolve to continue to fight on the side of the people.
“It is Lamido’s strong belief that having not committed any offense against the state to warrant being sent to prison, he and his two sons will be freed and vindicated against the wicked plot of their adversaries”.
Meanwhile, Lamido is said to have been overwhelmed by the large number of friends and well wishers from across Nigeria who have thronged the prison to show solidarity with him and his two sons.
A close source at the prison revealed that Lamido was jolted by the show of love and solidarity that he shed what the source described as “tears of joy” on Friday.
The former governor reportedly came out on Friday afternoon in one of his best attires to the office of the prison controller with a view to getting close to all those who had thronged the prison yard to see him.
Lamido and sons however were likely to be admitted to bail tomorrow (Monday) as a vacation judge was most likely to hear their bail application on that day.
A source said Lamido’s associates had already prepared in many ways to meet whatever conditions the judge might stipulate for their release from prison pending the hearing of the case in September.
Lamido and his two sons, according to the charge sheet of the EFCC after what the anti-graft agency described as a thorough investigation, alleged during the arraignment of the accused persons at a Federal High Court sitting in Kano, that they laundered N1.35 billion.
They were slammed with a 28-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust.
The trial judge, Justice Evelyn Anyadike, adjourned the case till September 28 while ordering that the suspects be remanded in Kano Prison.
Anyadike, however, ruled that the case will be handed over to a vacation judge to listen to the accused persons bail application while the judiciary goes on vacation today.
