They are going to adapt the Mark vs Anissa battle?

Isn't it too early?

A lot of events happened before that battle in the comics

The media has been milking the Greta and Margot Robbie's Oscar snub for virtue signalling...

Barbie got 8 nominations ffs and the woke media is acting like it's not enough for mumu optics.

"The women most responsible for the success of Barbie were snubbed, therefore bla bla.... "

Go fvck yourselves with your brain dead agenda
A native american woman is (almost certainly) going to win best actress for the first time in history and instead of like celebrating that countless film journos are implying that margot robbie not being nominated in the same category is somehow a loss for feminism.

I don't know what they are smoking over there in the West.

This Viva Cinemas Ikeja no be serious company walahi.... For days now I've been trying to get their official website so I can see their screenings and probably book tickets and make plans and finally decide which film I wish to see. But for where.

The site I saw ain't working. No active IG page. Last I saw semblance of activity is months ago like September/October. 🤦🏽‍♂️ How dem wan take make money sef. 😐
I'm facing the same problem too.

Viva is the nearest cinema to my location and their website is down plus zero activity on their socials since October.

You'd think the business closed down but if you visit their cinema, you will find it fully functional.
They are showing movies everyday but since website dey down, you can't book tickets online or check the daily movie schedule.

My brother went to see Aquaman 2 last week, he had to go to the cinema to check the schedule and then hang around the mall for hours waiting for the time movie starts.

Ordinary schedule he would have checked online if their website and socials were up and running.

I'm not ready for that stress. Any movie I plan to see sooner than later will have to wait.

Dune Two

Another trailer.

I'll need to rewatch Part 1 cos I can't remember a single thing about it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2Qp5pL3ovA?si=5h6XZIEK16jdyfz9
The execs at WB are not very smart.

Pushing Dune 2 to March 2024 and letting Aquaman 2 get the Christmas holiday release is a very idiotic move ngl.

The money Dune is going to make in March would have been much more if it was released for Christmas.

Aquaman 2 is a waste of space. That movie is doomed to underperform financially. Christmas season won't save it.
So I don't get why they are doing it any favours when they have a guaranteed big hitter in Dune 2.

WB never see handwriting on the wall.

Very dumb company.

Please avoid Invincible S2 if you haven't started watching it yet...

Wait for the season to be complete next year before you watch.

It took Amazon 2 years and half to release season 2 and as if the long wait wasn't enough, they split S2 into two parts.

A show of only 8 episodes. It's very annoying.

S2 part 2 will be next year, no date yet.

If you are a fan of Invincible, avoid season 2 for now.

In the time it took Amazon to release season 2, I read the comics twice.

I've said it before but some people will keep denying it

SUPERHERO FATIGUE EXISTS!!!

The recent bombs are a combination of Bad movies + Superhero Fatigue

You can't keep recycling the same plotlines and expect people not to get fed up...

Marvel needs to do a few things imo:

1. Reduce the amount of Superhero content they release
2. Increase creativity and stop following the same formula
3. Avoid anything that has to do with the word "MULTIVERSE" - this word is a timebomb that kills audience interest
4. Focus on character driven stories rather than the whole saving the world or universe crap - be more grounded and relatable
The number one point is funny.

The MCU is not interested in cutting down on content.

After Deadpool 3 next year, they intend to release 4 movies in 2025 alone.

BlackManta:
5. Hard reboot the MCU and start over with the X-Men.

The X-Men stories reflects the real world so much, it can be character driven and grounded. With the X-Men we get to see themes of discrimination, racism and politics with real world consequences and characters with flaws and moral struggles.
It would show the grey areas of what it means to be a "superhero" in a modern "realistic" world.

A deep and grounded take on the superhero genre.

Something serious and entirely different from what we've been getting all these years.

I doubt the MCU will do something like this tho.
I'm talking about a reboot while these guys are busy planning to make Thor 5 grin

One day a reboot will become absolutely necessary whether they like it or not.

The worst second weekend drop for the whole genre cry

Christ in heaven, that is so horrible

The superhero genre is at an all time low right now

This is what happens when moviegoers completely rejects a movie.

The same happened to Flash.

I couldn't believe my eyes at first.

What in the world is SONY cooking?

All this energy spent building a spiderverse and they not even thinking of making a live action Miles Morales movie.

Instead they giving us movies that no one asked for.

She understands the assignment.

She's a successful playwright but this is her first major screenwriting gig, I hope she knocks it out of the park.

Now I need James to hire a director with a keen eye for visuals and creative prowess.

Someone like Gareth Edwards can bring the story to live, complete with the stunning visuals and great production design with a lower budget as well.

Ahoy boys! The Creator is now available on the high seas. Do what you do best. cool
I just finished watching this movie.

It's an excellent sci-fi movie. Incredibly well directed, good story and great visuals.

In the age of $200m Disney+ shows, how Gareth Edwards managed to keep the budget for this movie below $100m should be carefully studied.

The guy is a genius.

I don't know why or how this movie flopped.

In another timeline The Creator would've been one of the most successful movies of the year.

It's an underrated masterpiece.

difference is Oda supervised One Piece and even set boundaries not to be crossed. Every change they made had to be sanctioned by Oda

His rule 1 was even to avoid any romance between crew members.

On the other hand, the original producers for Avatar left the production for creative differences...
@the emboldened

This is what I'm afraid of.

I'm holding out hope that it might be good but a part of me thinks it might be a disaster.

Original creators walking away over creative differences is a giant red flag imo.

Also they didn't just leave, they started Avatar Studios over at Paramount to produce more ATLA spinoffs.

God knows whatever transpired between them and Netflix.

The only confidence I have in this show stems from the fact that Netflix did a great job adapting One Piece for live action.

Xavier5:
THE CREATOR --- 9/10

Amazing and emotionally packed blockbuster, especially the showcasing of the sorrow, loss and pain that comes with war. I anticipate a sequel for this film. Yes, USS NOMAD has been destroyed, but the Western Millitary Alliance is still in existence, so nothing stops USS NOMAD 2.0 from being built. In other words, the war isn't over. A trilogy would be ideal... ideal to conclude the story arc.

#Xavier
I read a few reports saying that Gareth Edwards the director of The Creator was in talks to direct a DCU project

If it's true, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow would suit him perfectly.
It is a very personal character driven sci-fi story, something Gareth can adapt very well.

Saturnalia:
1.)
2.) Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time 2010 - 8.5/10.

In my opinion, this movie is the best flick that Jake Gyllenhaal has ever acted in.

Alfred Molina made me love this movie with his repetitive chant of: “Have I Told You About The Ngbaka? “ grin

Toby Kebbell is another amazing guy. I first came across this brilliant actor in RocknRolla 2008; I didn’t like him much. Then I saw him again in Ben Hur 2016; He did a wonderful job; But in this movie, the way he kept on roaring & bellowing while chasing after Jake Gyllenhaal is always killing me.
Hollywood and whitewashing

Jake Gyllenhaal had no business playing a Middle Eastern prince if we're being honest

Take away marvel and star wars and they have nothing else to offer

But I need this show to be good because I'm a big fan of the books.
