Give the supporting cast more depth.

These characters are flat and boring, they don't do anything except give pep talks to Matt. We don't even know anything about them, their personal life or their connections to Matt.

In Netflix Daredevil

They showed us that Foggy knew Matt from law school and they were roomates before they worked in the same law firm to starting their own firm. It was firmly established that Foggy has been Matt's best friend for years.

We knew everything about Foggy because he had depth. In season 1 we saw how he thinks, his feelings towards Daredevil, his psychology and his philosophy of doing things by the book and fighting for justice using the law. An antithesis to Matt's vigilante approach, getting justice his own way.

Karen Page character arc is one the best in the show. We saw her go from being a victim to becoming a strong female character who doesn't stop fighting against Fisk and the corrupt system even in the face multiple dangers.

This is just season 1.

Should I talk about the Nadeem, Maggie, Mr Wesley, Ben Urich, nurse Claire, Stick, Elektra, and how much they differ from the side characters in Born Again.

Even Dex/Bullseye got more depth and character development than Muse ever got.

The side characters in Born Again are inconsequential. You could remove any of them from the show and it wouldn't make a difference.

Imagine Daredevil S1 without Foggy, Ben and Karen. S2 without Frank Castle, Stick and Elektra and S3 without Nadeem. These are characters that elevated the show and it would have been a completely different show without them.

The side characters in Born Again have to be better. The bar is high.

Matt and Fisk are the only ones carrying this show

The other characters except white tiger barely improved the show.

Daredevil Born Again is okay but I can't overlook the biggest downgrade this season.

The supporting characters in this show are underwhelming.

We're talking about How To Train Your Dragon here and from UNIVERSAL, the single biggest competitor to DISNEY's dominance the past decade, with $1bn films almost every year?

This film is easily amongst the top 3 $1bn contenders of this year. You know how popular that franchise is with kids and families? Trust Universal marketing to ultra-cook with delivery.
Releasing in summer where Universal has dominated even Disney on some occasions?

If na WB do this one we fit say na overconfidence, but Universal is a powerhouse presently that even Disney films can't trifle with. They're just that dominant at the moment.

If this film no make money, na nothing less than $750mn. I no be studio executive, but this one na one of the easiest predictions EVER.

I associate this film's success with Despicable Me & Minions franchise and Jurassic World films. They'll print money no matter what!!

I can't relate to the remake because I missed out on the original when I was a kid.
I watched all the popular animated movies that released back then but for some reason that I can't remember, I only saw bits and pieces of HTTYD.

They played the complete movie at Cinemacon and the audience loved it.

If this is as good as they say it is, I might see it in cinemas.

Cinemacon is ongoing right now and no one is talking about it.

I was a fool to think this was Marvel's Suicide Squad.

Now we know everyone survives except one person.

The stakes I thought this movie would have is completely gone.

It's obvious NOSTALGIA is the only recurring theme. If not, everything falls flat as they're unable to drive interest unlike before.

X-Men is a very good bait and will bring the Fox Universe fans aboard. They already see the clamour by fans to bring the old X-Men back....they're obliging now. They already know bringing new actors for the old successful X-Men characters won't bring widespread support.

How much do you think this movie is going to cost?

All these X-Men actors are going to collect a big paycheck.
RDJ is getting 100m
The Russos are getting something around that figure.
Add production and marketing cost.

This could easily become the most expensive CBM of all time.

Also this is the first Avengers with zero build up.

All the previous Avengers movies had some build up, this one feels weird.

I hope this is what they are giving us.

Because is this still an Avengers movie if have a chuckload of X-Men there

They are basically telling us. "You must show up to watch our movies whether you are having CBM fatigue or not".

This is the only way they can manufacture hype for an AVENGERS movie.

Because none of the new characters they introduced in phase 4 and 5 can generate any hype.

Look at how the new Captain America is underperforming and he was supposed to be the face of the new Avengers.

If you think about it well you'll realize that the next Avengers was never going to work without fan service and nostalgia bait. And it's Marvel that put themselves in this very position.

Ben Affleck has come out to say that DC movies (especially BVS) was too adult. Even his own son couldn't watch it.

That's two actors coming out to say they didn't like the dark, gritty version of the iconic characters they played.

Snyderbros will gaslight you and argue that Snyder was taking DC on the right path.

The only actor that really appreciated Snyder's vision was Ray Fisher because obviously Cyborg was the best written character.
The other actors have complaints.

Imagine playing an iconic character like Batman and your son can't even enjoy it.

Batman is a character for all ages. Most of us here saw TDK for the first time when we were kids, we watched Batman The Animated Series and JL early morning cartoons as kids and we loved it.

Snyder misunderstood these characters.

Rachel Zeglar is constantly getting abuse and death threats from conservatives on social media and Disney did nothing to protect her.

Ryan Coogler's Sinners is the first movie I plan to see in cinema this year but considering the speed at which new movies are dropping on streaming or digital, why should I squander 7k at the cinema

Invincible season 3 episode 6-8 is the best this show has ever been since season 1.

I'm glad I didn't give up on this show after an average season 2.

James Gunn's movies are always well received by movie goers and critics. That's my point.

I actually told a clown here on this thread long time ago that "Superman is not your regular characters that anything can easily be over looked" I remembered vividly too that I told same clown Superman movie is like one of the hardest, if not the hardest movie to pull, but the sissy thought I was only trying hard to be a hater and a Snyder boy. I guess now he can easily see how distorting and difficult to make a common decent movie for Superman.
The same Gunn who hates reshoots and had boasted of not doing reshoot in any of his movie is now eating is word (even if it's taste bitter) by doing a reshoot on his Superman
I'm not even looking at the terrible test screening here, I just want a clown here to know that making a bunch of GotG movies are never the same as making a Superman movie. The expectations are far apart, boy!

Imagine believing that the man who has never made a bad comic book movie in his life is somehow going to produce a TERRIBLE Superman movie

It's more realistic and reasonable to expect a James Gunn Superman that isn't groundbreaking, masterful or super great but is at least very good.

Expecting James Gunn Superman to be terrible is by far the most delusional take I have heard of.

Unlike Zack Snyder, all of Gunn's movies are well received by the general audience and critics.
