A 21-year-old Muslim convert from East Yorkshire has been convicted of planning a terrorist attack after a trial at Leed's Crown Court revealed his detailed preparations for an atrocity.
Jordan Richardson of Oliver Close in Hen was found guilty on multiple terrorism charges, including preparing acts of terrorism, collecting information useful for terrorism, and distributing terrorist publications.
The court heard that Richardson, who described himself as an Anglo jihadi, had identified potential targets, including Meadow Hall Shopping Center near Sheffield, and had regularly expressed intentions to kill Jewish people. Prosecutors presented evidence that he joked about entering a synagogue wearing a suicide vest.
When arrested last December while traveling to work, authorities discovered handwritten notes in his backpack containing attack plans alongside instructions for manufacturing mustard gas.
Subsequent searches of his residence uncovered a crossbow, crossbow bolts, and a combat style knife. Digital evidence revealed his extensive engagement with extremist Islamist propaganda, including material glorifying terrorist actions.
Prosecutor Katherine Robinson told the court that Richardson was not merely an online fantasist, but was actively preparing to execute his plans, noting his possession of weapons and chemical weapon instructions. The jury was shown social media posts by Richardson, including one featuring Meadow Hall's exterior, followed by a clip with the text, "How life feels when you finally give up and just start killing people brutally."
Despite Richardson's defense that he was role-playing as an extremist to escape feelings of depression and isolation, the prosecution demonstrated his commitment to violent ideology through his actions and communications with individuals professing allegiance to Islamic State.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Dunley, head of counterterrorism policing Northeast, stated that Richardson had rapidly radicalized through online propaganda and was preparing to conduct an attack on members of the public. He emphasized how the case illustrates the real world threat of self-radicalization, noting Richardson's swift transition from recent convert to committed and dangerous extremist within months.

Who was using these 6 individuals to launder money for Boko Haram?
How did all the anti money laundering measures put in place by the Buhari administration fail to uncover this operation?
Boko Haram has experienced a resurgence since 2023 and they have become even more deadly and spawned splinter cells who are equally as dangerous as they are. They now use sophisticated weapon systems like grid drones and guided missiles.
US Treasury Sanctions Six Individuals for Raising funds in the United Arab Emirates to Support Nigeria’s Boko Haram Terrorist Group
WASHINGTON — Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated a network of six individuals connected to Nigeria-based terrorist group, Boko Haram. All six were found guilty of establishing a Boko Haram cell in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to raise funds for and provide material assistance to Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria. OFAC’s action follows arrests, prosecutions, and designations in the UAE in September 2021, demonstrating the commitment of the Emirati government to using judicial measures and targeted financial sanctions to disrupt the flow of funds to these networks.
“With this action, the United States joins the UAE in targeting terrorist financing networks of mutual concern,” said Under Secretary of the Treasury Brian Nelson. “Treasury continues to target financial facilitators of terrorist activity worldwide. We welcome multilateral action on this Boko Haram network to ensure that it is not able to move any further funds through the international financial system.”
OFAC designated Abdurrahman Ado Musa, Salihu Yusuf Adamu, Bashir Ali Yusuf, Muhammed Ibrahim Isa, Ibrahim Ali Alhassan, and Surajo Abubakar Muhammad pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 13224, as amended, which targets terrorists, leaders, and officials of terrorist groups, and those providing support to terrorists or acts of terrorism. The U.S. Department of State designated Boko Haram as a Foreign Terrorist Organization and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist on November 14, 2013.
BOKO HARAM NETWORK IN THE UAE
The UAE Federal Court of Appeals in Abu Dhabi convicted Abdurrahman Ado Musa, Salihu Yusuf Adamu, Bashir Ali Yusuf, Muhammed Ibrahim Isa, Ibrahim Ali Alhassan, and Surajo Abubakar Muhammad for transferring $782,000 from Dubai to Boko Haram in Nigeria. Salihu Yusuf Adamu and Surajo Abubakar Muhammad were sentenced to life imprisonment for violations of UAE anti-terrorism laws; Abdurrahman Ado Musa, Bashir Ali Yusuf, Muhammed Ibrahim Isa, and Ibrahim Ali Alhassan were sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by deportation. Today’s designations will prevent these individuals’ funds from being used further to support terrorism.
SANCTIONS IMPLICATIONS
As a result of today’s action, all property and interests in property of the individuals named above, and of any entities that are owned, directly or indirectly, 50 percent or more by them, individually, or with other blocked persons, that are in the United States or in the possession or control of U.S. persons, must be blocked and reported to OFAC. Unless authorized by a general or specific license issued by OFAC or otherwise exempt, OFAC’s regulations generally prohibit all transactions by U.S. persons or within the United States (including transactions transiting the United States) that involve any property or interests in property of designated or otherwise blocked persons.
Furthermore, engaging in certain transactions with the individuals designated today entails risk of secondary sanctions pursuant to E.O. 13224, as amended. Pursuant to this authority, OFAC can prohibit or impose strict conditions on the opening or maintaining in the United States of a correspondent account or a payable-through account of a foreign financial institution that knowingly conducted or facilitated any significant transaction on behalf of a Specially Designated Global Terrorist.
The power and integrity of OFAC sanctions derive not only from its ability to designate and add persons to the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List), but also from its willingness to remove persons from the SDN List consistent with the law. The ultimate goal of sanctions is not to punish but to bring about a positive change in behavior. For information concerning the process for seeking removal from an OFAC list, including the SDN List, please refer to OFAC’s Frequently Asked Question 897 here. For detailed information on the process to submit a request for removal from an OFAC sanctions list, please here.
Additional information regarding sanctions programs administered by OFAC can be found here.

I don’t care about foreign governments; I don’t want them in our country. But to deny that there isn’t a genocide is to enable the jihad going on against non-Muslims. Even the Muslims who are being targeted are only those who refused to be radicalized. These two radical Islamist Bashir Ahmad and Pantami are the front men shouting there is no genocide in Nigeria, and yet not long ago they were calling for the Islamization of Nigeria. Other northerners were calling for Fulani jihad and saying Nigeria will be Islamized soon. This was one year ago. Now today they are defending the claim that there is no Christian genocide because they don’t want their dream of an Islamic republic of Nigeria to be shattered.
I asked a question before and no one was willing to give a straight answer. Why is it that the majority—almost 80%—of those saying there is no genocide going on in Nigeria are Muslims?
You think they don’t know what they’re doing? We need to rise up and destroy all the terrorists and their sponsors in this country, and also bring down those with the idea of Islamizing Nigeria or making the whole country under Sharia law. That topic itself should be declared a terrorist statement and should be given a jail term. We still have a chance to make a choice. If we don’t, we can see clearly how Sudan ended up as North and South because of this same thing. If we don’t do the needful, this country will end up like Sudan.
There is a focused massacre against Christians and non-Muslims, and yes, it is higher than Hausa Muslims being killed by Fulani Islamic terrorists. That is the fact. The others stay silent for reasons best known to them, but Christians and people of other faiths will not and cannot remain silent. The Owo bloody massacre is still fresh and should never be forgotten.
So I don’t want American government involvement. I don’t want any foreign soldiers in my country. I want our gallant heroes—our military—to be given full authority to destroy the terrorists. No more excuses or playing politics with the violence. Give them the authority to arrest or eliminate any governor, senator, House of Reps member, or even traditional leader in cahoots with these terrorists. And I want all the so-called repentant Boko Haram members removed from the military. Remove those with proven Boko Haram ties from our security services as well. At the same time, properly support and reward our troops: increase pay so even the lowest ranks can feed their families and do their jobs honorably — a baseline of ₦400,000–₦500,000 for the lowest ranks would be a start.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria. Thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter. I am hereby making Nigeria a "COUNTRY OF PARTICULAR CONCERN" — But that is the least of it. When Christians, or any such group, is slaughtered like is happening in Nigeria (3,100 versus 4,476 Worldwide), something must be done! I am asking Congressman Riley Moore, together with Chairman Tom Cole, and the House Appropriations Committee, to immediately look into this matter, and report back to me. The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria, and numerous other Countries. We stand ready, willing, and able to save our Great Christian population around the World! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A judge has resigned after she was caught peeing in a bush near a courthouse by police.
Bodycam footage obtained by Fox 10 shows Judge Pro Tempore Kristyne Schaaf-Olson allegedly urinating in the street in Yavaoi County, Arizona at around 1.30am on 4 October.
An officer can be seen approaching her and asking what she is doing, to which she replied: “I’m waiting… Uber.”
Her husband appeared and tried to usher her away, insisting that “it wasn’t her” after the officer accused her of “puking and urinating, exposing herself to several people”.
The police report said Schaaf-Olson showed signs of intoxication and slurred her speech. Her husband was cited for resisting arrest, interfering with a crime scene investigation and obstruction of government operations.

Omotaday: The war didn’t start on Oct 7th, and even in wars, there are rules, that’s why you have “war crimes”. Get educated first and don’t mention me anymore.
Atrocities? Hahaha😄 You don't just start a war with a superior opponent, then cry about atrocity when you are soundly beaten
Omotaday: It’s no surprise for anyone who sees beyond mere propaganda. Israel always capitalise on any diversion to tone down their own atrocities in Palestine.
It’s the same way they are the loudest with the “Christain genocide in Nigeria” hasbara, they have been paying the media, and their AIPAC funded senators are pushing the story.
The House of Representatives has approved President Bola Tinubu’s request to borrow $2.35 billion to help finance part of the 2025 budget deficit.
In addition, the green chamber on Wednesday endorsed the President’s proposal to issue a $500 million debut sovereign sukuk in the international capital market (ICM) to support key infrastructure projects and diversify Nigeria’s financing sources.
The approvals followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the House Committee on Aids, Loans, and Debt Management, which reviewed the borrowing plan and recommended its implementation.
According to the report, the new external borrowing of N1,843,669,786,987.16 (equivalent to $1.229 billion) at the budget exchange rate of N1,500 to $1, as provided for in the 2025 Appropriation Act, will be used to part-finance the N9.28 trillion budget deficit.
Back story
Earlier this month, Nairametrics had reported that Tinubu requested the House of Representatives to approve the Federal Government’s plan to raise $2.3 billion in external capital for the 2025 fiscal year.
In a letter addressed to the House and read on the floor by Speaker Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, President Tinubu explained that the funds would be raised through a combination of instruments, including the issuance of Eurobonds, bridge financing facilities from book runners, loan syndications, and direct borrowing from international financial institutions.
“The Federal Government has recorded considerable success in the issuance of Sukuk in the domestic capital market for the development of critical infrastructural projects across the country,” the president stated.
What you should know
In July, the Senate approved the 2025-2026 external borrowing plan of $21.5 billion presented by President Tinubu for consideration.
The Senate also approved the issuance of a Federal Government Bond of N757 billion for the payment of accrued rights pension arrears as of December 2023 for the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS).
Nigeria’s total public debt rose to N149.39 trillion as of March 31, 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of N27.72 trillion or 22.8% when compared to the N121.67 trillion recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.
Earlier, Nairametrics reported that Nigeria is in discussions with China’s Export-Import Bank for a $2 billion loan to finance a new “super grid” aimed at easing the country’s chronic power shortages and boosting industrial growth.
The Debt Management Office (DMO) successfully raised N1.39 trillion through the issuance of Sukuk bonds in the domestic capital market, which have been channelled toward the construction and rehabilitation of major roads and bridges nationwide.
