Dem wan die for dere? Na wah o!. |
@ poster, once my parents and i stopped at Biggs after church. Mumsi is a slow eater so i and my dad were done before she was. We decided not to wait for her cos she'd take forever. The next thing this woman did shocked us to the marrow. She took the little nylon bag for the meatpie, turned it inside out and poured her remainin fanta inside. After tucking it into her really classy bag(imagine), she looked at us and was like, "What? i owe u??"That is the funniest thing i av eva heard. LWKMD! |
^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Nice answer. |
Both my first name and middle name are native names. Funnily enough, everyone in my immediate and extended family has the same. Including those born and raised abroad. I will definitely do the same cos i believe a name is a prophesy for the kid. |
I have several to tell. 1. My mum always comes up with some funny rules. Once, she said we always bring in dirt into the kitchen from outside (the kitchen was the only part not rugged). She said we should all take off our shoes wheneva we come in from outside or we are about to go out. We all complained but she was adamant. My dad returned from work and then walked as usual with his shoes to his room. As he was about to enter his room, my mum told him of the new rule. He scoffed at it and said he would do no such thing. We were all happy. Next morning, we saw my dad carrying his shoes in his hands about to go out to work. LOL. 2. My dad doesnt like going late to Church, so everyone always tried to get ready on time (except my mum). Once we see him in his trousers ironing his hankie, everyone just goes into hyper drive cos the next 5 mins the guy would yell, 'I am off and anyone not ready will walk to Church' and he means it. My mum usually drives herself to Church or goes for the 3rd service. 3. I tried to teach my dad slangs. Thought him, 'fashi' as in forget it but he would always say 'fasi'. Weneva anyone heard dat, they believed i was teaching him Ibadan dialect cos i schooled there. It was so embarrassing. 4. We were all trying to practice speaking queen's english at home. We decided to have a book where we recorded anyone's grammatical errors. My dad was always an unabashed culprit and couldnt care less but my mum's name never entered the book cos she used to be an English teacher. One day, she made an error and we gleefully wrote her "arrow" in the book. That was the last we saw of the book. I keep wondering where the book is right now. |
I said it shouldn't happen in civilized societies. U would be the first person to call China a civilized society. Its just like calling Nigeria, a civilized society. Anywayz, that is besides the point. A 9 year old girl I can remember when i was 9, what did i know about life? |
I stopped reading at the point where someone slept with a 10 year old. That's sad. Married or not, that is so sad. Thank God such things dont happen in civilized society's anymore. |
Be careful o about reading it. I think it was in Bauchi that a lady teacher was killed because she touched the Qu.ran that someone was using to cheat in an exam. They said she was killed because as an 'infidel' she should not have touched it. Also, if u r in the north, u can be killed if they see a non-mu.slim reading it. Be careful. |
I don't mind. My husband likes to channel surf and i also do though when i find an interesting film to watch, i will leave it there. If he is watching something i consider uninteresting, that is the time for me to sleep! I just lie down on his laps, back the tv, and sleep. He will wake me wen something more interesting is on or he wants to gist. Left to me, we would be watching African Magic, movie channels and sports but living with him has made me appreciate stuff like discovery channel, national geographic, History channel, crime and investigation, etc. These channels have broadened my outlook and left me more knowledgeable. |
@Akangbunue, what was the outcome of the test you wrote. Abi, the pack is not for a test? U av bought the pack so let us know ur experience. |
I will rate based upon what attracted me to my husband. 1. Intelligence (First class, distinction, professional qualification, fastest promotion) 2. Height (well over 6 feet 5 inches) 3. Confidence (He has got tha swagger yeah) 4. Power AND influence (He is like a demi god amongst his peers) 5. Wealth/Affluence (Speaks for itself) 6. Good looks (above average) 7. Fashion/Dress Sense (I dont even av a dress sense so i dont care if he does or doesnt av) I feel that why girls r not rating wealth as number one is dat the person already has money and a good job, read the first post. This frees up space to pick things that are really important to them. |
akangbenue: akangbenue:This Akangbue guy seems to be part of them. All ur posts r on this same thread. U started out saying that you were unsure now u happen to know so much about the company. On the fir and pine (what kind of lousy name is dat? Since u av received the pack, i thought ur next post will be to say the outcome of the test but here ur sending us to useless links. Abeg jo. I am now more convinced that this is a fraud. It wont be the first time that fraudsters use banks to perpetuate fraud evidenced by all these fraudsters that ask people to pay in money into their accounts. I wont be surprised that someone high up in First Bank is in on the fraud and making some cool cash. Advice: dont pay for this thrash, wait for others to come and tell u dir experiences. Is there any deadline? But if u feel u av money, go ahead. |
I will be 30 years of age by November of this year. I have a good job with a multinational company and planing on settling down soon to my girlfriend of two and a half years who is currently serving with a New Generation Bank @ Ibadan. I called her as usual last night and asked if she was in bed already and was shocked by her response. That she was passing the night in another guys house who is also a corp member. Her reason was that there was no light at her place. Please, NL, I need your advise on this one before I go crazy as I intend walking down the aisle with this girl on completion of my Duplex which is 99% complete.
Is this the same chic? ![]() My experience is dat Oil servicing companies dont pay too well. She can continue earning dat salary for years without a review but on the other hand. U know dat banks are sacking staff. She might have to start hawking herself in the name of meeting targets. It seems she is a lawyer, she might have more career fulfilment as a company secretary than as a marketer. |
I ran a scam anlysis using a scam anlysis tool, http://www.hyipexplorer.com/tools/analysis.php. Wasn't able to get a rating but what i found interesting was that this website was created on 19th of January, 2010. Also, the IP address is based in Germany. Why not just talk with him? Both of u can reach an agreement about how to go about the family finances. Dont take such things for granted cos money issues have a way of destroying the love a couple feel for each other. |
- How we met: We met during a friendly game which i lost for my team dat day. While we waited for it to be our turn again, we gisted. We have been inseparable ever since. He was in final year and i was in first year. We dated for 6 yrs . He was my very first and only boyfriend ever. - What attracted me: He was so intellectual (dat was a big turn on), has a very generous and gentle heart. He has a way with people dats why people r always around him, he is such a delightful companion. He has such compassion for people and was very religious. He actually made me love God more. Also, he was very romantic and used to serenade me with songs almost everyday. Also, he was very tall. - Who proposed?: He did. Unofficially, wen i was still in my second year and he was doing his NYSC though officially it was in 2008. - Who opposed: Initially, it was just his Church people but then everybody kinda fell into line. - The wedding: The traditional wedding was last year in my place while the white wedding was dis year, in UK. - The honeymoon - In Uk, though we avnt had much of a honeymoon as i have my exams coming up. - Made a mistake choosing my partner? - NO WAY. I will marry him again in another lifetime. Things av not always been smooth but he taught me that openess, honesty and accountability will make the relationship work and it has helped. Wat i love most is dat if he is wrong, he will apologize and if i am wrong and apologize, he just lets it go (though i know i always rub it in his face wen he is d one dat has to apologize). He never, ever washes our dirtly linen in public and always praises me to the highest heavens. All his friends think i am something out of this world. He calls me several times a day and never fails to end with 'I love u'. Till today, he stil does d same thing. - Tempted to be unfaithful: Never been tempted to as he is all i know and i dont want to know another cos it will be so weird. - How long: This is just the beginning of many more years to come. |
Their pikin will av elete pumo (big) lips. See as their lips be. |
I have seen her in person several times. She is even less beautiful in person than in the picture. She has a wonderful character but she just no fine. Her cheeks are just as big as my butt cheeks. I think she should not smile too much cos, Anyways, everyone get their bad day but her own na everyday. Without make up, she looks worse. One day, we go find anoda true beauty like agbani darego. |
Thanks. It was very educative. Though its comin over 1 yr plus since the interview, i guess it will come in handy for other interviews. Ur a gem. |
INTERCONTINENTAL BANK has no rival. Others can come close but cant beat INTER. Some1 said that he worked there n dat all the smiles are fake. Dat may be so but me, as a cutomer walkin into d hall, wat i see are smiling faces all around me n dey jst keep smilin. Dey sent me a txt and an email on my Birthday!. I av accounts wit modified Banks n none remembered even though i av filled enough KYC (Know Your Customer) forms. Diamond bank sent me a txt d day afta my birthday. One reason i dont particularly like GTB is dat dey dont do Sat bankin n dat is hard esp if u av bizness to transact on dat day. But i av to say dat dir ATM is always up. D worst bank is UBA so much so dat i had to close my account wit dem due to dir lousy service. |
I will av to say it is INTERCONTINENTAL BANK. I av not received beta service in any oda bank. I also bank wit GTB so i know wat i am sayin. GTB try but e no reach Inter. Even to writin dir test n dir interview. Dey were so accommodatin n treated each person like a human bein n not a piece of trash like UBA. Can u imagine, dey actually served us drinks n thins to nibble on as we waited 4 our turn to be interviewed n dey kept apologisin 4 keepin us till dat time, askin if we were comfortable. Wen somethin has been built into u, it becomes a way of life. I have to say dat Inter's phenomenal customer care has become a way of life to dem. ![]() |
