owunabastard:
this government is full of confusion. As it stands people will continue using the old currency till the 15th February, Nigerians may disregard fg and CBN which is very bad. But I don't blame the masses

Unfortunately, if anyone continues to use the old notes after the 10th, the fault lies with them. The problem is that both the old notes and new notes are not available. Banks are partly to blame as they would rather give their big customers i.e private banking than share to their retail customers.

The supreme court will interprete the guildline set by the legislature, they don't change anything.

You can see that the judgement by the Supreme Court is null and void on CBN and they are still sticking with the old deadline.

It is what it is.

@ emboldened is the disputed part

Cbn doesn't have its own guidelines, it was established by the legislative arm of governormnent.

And only new guidelines issued by the legislature can change it. Definitely not the Supreme Court.

I pity people that will follow his advice. So, if someone in Ekiti for example, brings in the old notes on the 12th and the bank refuses to accept, they should call El Rufai to come and do what? Flog the bank workers?

All these politicians can afford to have their monies burnt and thrown away if the banks won't accept. Regular people wil be the ones to suffer the loss.

Prof Charles Okigbo was once named Labour party presidential Council spokesperson.
Nextier holding which conducted a poll projecting Obi to win the election is owned by Okigbo family.

He was never named as LP's spokesperson. Whoever shared that on Twitter got the names mixed up.

Mr Charles Odigbo was named a spokesperson for Big Tent, a support group for Obi-datti. So can we move on from this?

Rubbish poll.

Imagine it projects Labour Party to win Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Osun, Lagos.

cheesy

It's not a projection. It's the response from people on who they will be voting for. To make a projection, you'll have to extrapolate on anticipated turn out, voting population, etc. This was a survey and that's why the surveyed numbers are low.

If you are in any of the parties, you'll use this to fine-tune your campaign strategy.

What I could see hear is that APC and PDP will share the Northern Votes.
While
Labour Party will monopolize the Southern Votes.

According to the Polls
PDP wins 8 states,
APC wins 10 states,
LP wins 17 states plus F.C.T.

Opinion: I think LP will win Plateau State.

Here is another Online Poll Ongoing at the moment

What this tells me about Plateau is that they need more logo sensitization. Plateau is definitely for PO.

Lol. So you are saying Emefiele was not intelligent or competent enough to account for this so-called hurdle before he plunged Nigeria into severe chaos?

Not sure which is worse. The lame excuse you make for Emefiele or the fact you don't appreciate that your excuse indict Emefiele an incompetent sadist who deserves instant sack.

Nigerians are hateful and prefer to cry privately so those they hate do not mock them.

This is why literally thousands of business and SME owners will remain suffering in silence, or relocate abroad, when they really feel like protesting daily across Nigeria over the destruction and closure of their businesses because of Emefiele deliberate devaluation of the Naira against the major trading currencies of the world.

Emefiele is the worst CBN governor ever. A crook, charlatan and shameless 'guns for hire'.

I'm making no excuses for Emefiele. He has shown himself to be an incompetent CBN Governor. He should be able to go after the banks that are funding politicians rather than giving to the public.

That being said, I still insist that Emefiele is not wrong to say that the new notes are available because he has made them available.

Emefiele is not wrong. The new notes are available. Only problem is that the political class have strong-armed the banks to collect all the new notes leaving nothing for those on the streets.

How do you think he was Friends with the current Sultan of Sokoto?

You think that when the son of royalty moved from the north to the East, he went there to live in a slum or a low- class vicinity?

That's the very reason they knew each other. Peter Obi was one of the wealthiest boys then who could provide the Sultan the luxury he needed to survive when he moved to the East.

His dad didn't leave $170m cash. That was the valuation of the business as at that time. And the business valuation has increased over time. For every Peter Obi billionaire, there are 5 more in Anambra. Few rely on government monopolies.

I am a member of the PDP national working committee, and I can testify that Obi is currently in talks about stepping down for his Boss ,Atiku.

Obi will step down latest February 14, which is a Valentine Day. Forget about what Labour party are talking. There is always an atom of truth in every speculation.

Peter is our boy and he will step down for his senior brother on the 14th of February. You can bank on what i have written here

Atiku is the next president

Seems you were not informed? The current gist is that Atiku is thinking of stepping down for PO because he might be cancelled due to his pending court case. He would rather PO win than Tinubu.

Listen to the beginning part where the Emir was talking. This was Peter Obi in Dutse. You'll see why he is drawing crowds in the north.

They said that they had been hearing so many good things about him. That he was a very hardworking somebody and by God's grace in 2023, they are going to vote for him.

He has not said or indicated the bolded. He has said that he didn't steal while in govt, he will not steal and won't allow others steal when he becomes president. He has said that he will cut down on wasteful govt expenditure and put the country to a path of production.

He is not the best but is the best available right now. He has also promised to have the best minds working in his cabinet regardless of political affiliation. Let's give him a chance.

All the Tinubu boys entered Buhari's government and were the most mediocre. They achieved nothing. Osinbanjo was head of NEC and VP, yet the economy is worse off. Fashola was Minister of power, housing and works. No electricity, no affordable houses, nothing. Aregbesola, Kemi Adeosun and so on, yet nothing.

What's the point of being Tinubu's boys and the country is not better? The only person that has benefited is Tinubu himself.
