99% of the virginity threads on nl are opened by men. So talk to them.

it's a man's world, and if the men say they want virgins to marry, that's that.

if they say it's non-virgins they must marry, that's that.

just find the man who springs for your own, whatever your own is.

and as everyone said, a man will wants to cheat will cheat, regardless.
True talk
Family › Re: Please Candid Advice From Married/matured Ladies by blank(f): 11:24pm On May 20, 2010
It depends on the kind of person she is.
Does she like gifts like material, jewellery, shoes, handbags, etc?
Does she like u guys spending time together?
Would she just prefer the money?
Its vital u know her preference cos u could get her a gift that she won't value.
My husband bought expensive jewellry and shoes for me.
I would have preferred we go somewhere romantic (just the two of us) or he just gave me the money to spend as i wanted.
You could stylishly drop hints and see which one she is more comfortable with.

Better yet, just ask her. I always prefer to know so i can choose wat i like.

I think its a Yoruba thingy cos:
1. the 'church' is made up of mostly Yorubas.
2. It uses Yoruba as the language in their services.
3. Mainly based in the South West.

So say wateva u like, i am not starting any kind of war.

Don't mean to derail this thread or anything or even sound tribalistic but why is it prevalent among Yorubas?
Is it because they naturally are into fetish things that when they join 'church' they go bring such stuff in?
I had a matron in secondary school that was cele.
She had 9 children from 4 different husbands and was highly revered in their church.
However, she was very wicked. Won't go into it as i see no reason to flog dead horses.
Also, all her children had one comma or the other.
The first daughter almost killed her husband and had to be arrested. She said she saw it in a vision and her sherpard told her it was okay.
The son that was my age mate and also my classmate in JS1 kept on repeating to the extent that when i was in SS3, he was in SS1 and was just dull.
The second to the youngest was a dada and he was mentally challenged.
These were the kids we had interactions with so i knew their personal stories.
The other ones, na hear say so i won't repeat them here.
We used to peep and watch when they were having 'prayers' in their house.
Enough candle burning, incense etc.
Later heard that they had to ask her to leave when one of her kids attempted to set fire to the school esp the dormitories.

These are my own experiences.

I don't know which tribe ur from but traditional wedding is very important in my tribe.
Ur viewed as not married until the traditional wedding is done.
I am wondering why ur folks don't want u guys to do it in absentia.
I am from the East but i did my traditional wedding in my father's house in Abuja cos of all the kidnappings.
My very good friend is not going home to do her's.
It will be done in absentia.
Make up ur mind and stick to it.

Better still, insist that u guys r not going to do it unless u don't have to return home for it.
Career › Re: I Am Confused - Job Satisfaction Or Renumeration? by blank(f): 3:22am On May 20, 2010
Afroprince:
Hi good people, i need constructive suggestions pls, i am married with a son, wifey is a student in 3rd yr. I worked as a tv presenter and later moved on to radio as a presenter/producer/DJ, i did this for 4years of my life and loved every minute of it. Later moved to banking where i stayed for 3yrs but now i am an asst mgr in an IT firm, i take care care of their branding issues. My problem now is that cos of skool i stay far from my young family, i am in Lagos and the are in Enugu, secondly i hate Lagos cos i awake 4:30am everyday and leave my house 5:30am to avoid traffic. I earn close to 250k a month with other incentives but yet i am not satisfied with the job, Lagos, the traffic (the fact that i have to struggle driving to & fro work against heavy traffic) and most especially not being close to my family. I just got an appointment to move back to radio in the east, 1hr drive away from my family for a salary of 90k a month, a flat, health insurance and 6months salary review. What should i do? i love media, its my life but taking a paycut of 150k for job satisfaction is scary? i need your honest contributions, u could be saving a life, waiting for your answers, one love!
It might seem like a big paycut but consider the other factors.
The cost of living in the east is way lower than in in Lagos.
N800,000 p.a will get u a massive house in GRA, Enugu but they are already giving u a flat.
U can live in Enugu and work in Awka (just 45mins drive).
Foodstuffs are cheaper, you're closer to your family, etc.
Also, with 7 yrs experience, u can still get a job in another bank should u decide to do so.

You know what to do just pray and commit everything into God's hands.
