Politics › Who Is Olukemi Omololo-olunloyo? by blank(op): 12:19am On May 09, 2010
I got a mail on facebook asking me to join a fan page called "Extradite Olukemi Omololo-Olunloyo to USA to face her charges".
Usually, i just delete such things.

What got my attention was the picture on the profile (which i have attached). WTF!!! lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

It made me do some research on her but i didnt get much from that.
Basically she is a chic that wants to become the first female president of Nigeria but calls Nigerians all manner of names which i can't repeat here for obviou reasons.
Also, she takes pleasure in showing Nigeria in a bad light by highlighting any and everything bad that any individual does.
Seems like she has a past which involves child cruelty, bail jumping, intimidation etc.

That's all i could get but what surprised me was that there are numerous facebook pages denoucing her with all manner of unprintable names.

Leads me back to my question, Who is Olukemi Omololo-Olunloyo and can someone give me her story?  huh
Food › Re: Is It Wrong Or Rather Unhealthy To Eat Indomie Raw? by blank(f): 8:54pm On May 08, 2010
Instant noodles are dried or precooked noodles fused with oil, and often sold with a packet of flavoring.
Dried noodles are usually eaten after being cooked or soaked in boiling water for 2 to 5 minutes, while precooked noodles can be reheated, or eaten straight from the packet.

If you like it raw, nothing do you.

I wonder why we are still interested in advicing the young man.
He has already decided on a course of action and has taken matters into his own hands as evidenced by this post he posted in the dating section:

"I need a well to do woman (AGE DOESNT MATTER) that needs a strong-willed, sexy, business oriented and hardworking man for support and dating only. Am 42, dont look it, strong and sexually active, married but my woman seems to be the laziest in the world. I work so hard to keep the family going and where I need her support she starts well and frizzle out in few weeks. I have established her in businesses 4 times with capital ranging from N100k to N2m and she has nothing to show for it, all 4 attempts failed. Now she is involved in my business only to abscond every now and then. I think I need to have a feel of a striving and success oriented woman. If anyone is interested please send me a private mail to gfhotee@yahoo.com" huh

As you make your bed, so will you lie on it.
Sports › Mikel Obi Doubtful For World Cup? by blank(op): 6:00pm On May 06, 2010
Mikel blow for Chelsea

Thursday 6 May 2010

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel will miss the FA Cup final against Portsmouth on 15 May after undergoing minor knee surgery.
The Nigerian, who will also miss the final Premier League game of the season against Wigan on Sunday, has not played for three weeks because of the injury.
A Chelsea statement read: "John Mikel Obi has undergone minor knee surgery and will take no part in Sunday's final Barclays Premier League match nor the FA Cup final.
"The operation is due to an injury suffered when fouled by Bolton's Kevin Davies last month and subsequently led to Mikel's early substitution at Tottenham the following match."

@mcgboye , I think u r spot on on that. that ws the same line of reasoning I had. so would you say its more in line with core/mgmt consulting?
@mcgboye, @tos, @tbk147, if so, I have another questn for u regarding pwc as a whole. pwc sold their consulting practice(I think early 2000s) to ibm global services because there ws increasing pressure on them not to consult for their audit clients, but the issue was that they audited about 40% of fortune 500 companies, so telling them not to consult for the audit clients means their market was very limited hence the sale to ibm. My question is this, if pwc sold its whole consulting business to ibm, why do they still have an advisory consulting arm? I have a possible explanation which im not sure of but first, your thoughts.
thank you
I can answer this cos i worked in Pwc before. The advisory consulting arm is to consult mainly for companies that they are not auditing. They can still do consulting services for company that they audit for as long as the companies are not registered on the US stock exchange and they keep to certain rules.

mcgboye:
meanwhile TOS, seems everyone is leaving pwc for kpmg. i think 3 friends have left pwc in recent months for kpmg, and i colected my letter alonghside another guy that works tehre. what could be happening?
I have my views on this. PwC recruits for mainly their audit practice. So, imagine a pharmacy graduate doing audit. He wont be feeling satisfied. KPMG takes forever to complete their recruitment exercise while PwC concludes everything in about a month plus. Thus, the pharmacy graduate mentioned above (who would have applied to the two companies) would accept the offer from PwC pending when KPMG concludes their recruitment exercise and puts him in consulting. I saw a lot of this with the August batch that were recruited. Its a pity really.

Doesnt mean u're gon give any contact detail.[/quote]I know its rude but sometimes it gets so annoying esp when the guy cant take no for an answer. Some guys feel that if they r persistent, the chic will fall. It may work for some girls but not all. Some guys think just because you engaged in small conversation with them the first time, its okay to meet u again n try and strike up another conversation even after repeated rejections. That's why i can sympathize with some of the chics n dir responses. It could lead to either the guy having false hopes or being mis-interpreted by your significant other.

Romance › Re: Whats Ur Most Embarrassing Toasting Experience? by blank(f): 5:19pm On Apr 12, 2010
I have had several incidents happen to me. I learnt from my brother and then from my husband that i should never be rude to a guy that tries to toast me, rather i should good-naturedly but very firmly tell them i am not interested. On the surface, this seems like good advice but i am such a softie at heart, i find it difficult to be firm with guys. This led to several incidences of guys saying i led them on. So i developed a new way, i either just generally keep away from guys that i felt might like me or from the first moment we meet, i start talking about my lovely husband to be.

There was one particular guy when i was in first year. He was in second year and liked me a lot (it was so obvious though he never said anything). Anytime he wanted to talk to me, he would start shaking as in physically shaking and would end up talking nonsense. I would just smile and move on cos i wasn't in the least interested in him. I gradually pulled away from him until we didn't see again.
I thought it had ended and had totally forgotten him. When i was in final year and he was finishing NYSC, he came to see me in school. I was so surprised that he even remembered me. He came with a fancy new car and with so much arrogance. He said that he had just gotten work with a major oil company and he was ready to take me to see his parents! I was so shocked. I told him i was engaged to be married but he said he had me first and that he has been waiting to make money so that he could marry me.
I tried to be nice and let him down gently but he turned ugly and was like raking, "What more do i want from him?" I mentioned the name of my boyfriend (he knew the person) and told him we were getting married and that we had been dating since my second year. He went round all my friends (who also knew him) telling them of how i had led him on etc etc. No be small thing o. He actually went to confront my husband that he stole his girlfriend!

I learnt a very valuable lesson that day. Just be mean to guys when they try and toast you so that such rubbish wont ever repeat itself.

I am married to my first and only boyfriend. We dated for 6 years and we r now having the best marriage anyone can imagine.
I believe i made the right choice the first time and God has seen us through.
It would have been a mistake not marrying him.
I love him with all my heart and he loves me as well, there is no comparison with other guys or other people and i am quite content in every area of our marital life.
Romance › Re: Need Some Real Advice by blank(f): 9:27pm On Mar 23, 2010
First advice: Move out of your mother's house! or she should move out of your house.

If you leave her there and then marry a wife, wahala don start, even if the wife is one ur mother chose.
I am a lady so i know that i would like to be in charge of my house not the guy's mother.
I love my mother - in - law like more own mother but even she knows there are some boundaries that shouldnt be crossed.

Second Advice: Ask someone that your mum respects to talk to her so that she will start accepting the situation.

Third Advice: If you want to marry your current girlfriend, meet her parents at least to set her heart at rest that your not just playing her.
Tell them your plans for their daughter, be specific. E.g: Ur daughter is still in school, as soon as she graduates i will marry her.
